And now they'll be armed by us, imagine the profits for arms manufacturers!

Trump thinks the 'White House is a real dump,' report says

President Trump told members at his Trump National Bedminster golf club he has spent so much time there recently because "that White House is a real dump," Golf magazine reported Tuesday.

According to the in-depth look at the president and his relationship to golf, Bedminster has become one of Trump's favorite escapes. It served as a "permanent campaign rally site" in the months leading up to the election and Trump has visited the club four times since taking office.

"He has his own cottage adjacent to the pool; it was recently given a secure perimeter by the Secret Service, leading to the inevitable joke that it's the only wall Trump has successfully built," Golf magazine reported. "Chatting with some members before a recent round of golf, he explained his frequent appearances: 'That White House is a real dump.'"

By contrast, people who've played with Trump on his courses say he praises every detail of his club.

"'Is this not the most beautiful asphalt you've ever seen in your life?'" he'll say of an ordinary cart path," Golf reported. "At the turn he'll ask, "'Have you ever had a better burger?'"

Though Trump may take a lot of "floating mulligans" — ignoring a bad shot, or dropping a new ball without taking a penalty — and though he may have a nasty habit of driving his cart onto greens and tee boxes, Golf writes that no president has ever played the sport better.

Trump "clearly loves the game, and even at 71 is easily the best golfer who has ever lived in the White House," the magazine said.

And no, not radical in the cool 90's slang way.

Actually it has. America gave weapons to South Korea for the duration of the CW which helped it out. Gave weapons to the Greeks in the Greek Civil War, ensuring the reds would not achieve victory. Gave weapons to various paramilitary organizations across the world, which helped bleed the USSR dry (Afghanistan, Angola, El Savador, Nicaragua).

Sure, those helped in the immediate short-term, but other than Greece and South Korea really didn't secure long-term stability in those regions. The weapons we gave to Afghanistan in particular, iirc, did end up in the hands of some nasty people somewhere down the line.

Why is he President again? And is he seriously thinking about making another term?

Oh, but he might. People called Clinton tone deaf but I don't think they've seen people try to penetrate the thick fog of intense ego that surrounds Trump at any given moment, he's probably convinced himself the polls are all lies and if he does get primaried out in 2020 by some small miracle, he'll probably just run third party anyway because he thinks he's so loved by the American people.

They and one of the rebel groups still fight intermittently, because neither of those two have accepted the ceasefire.

To many variables were at play to make an accurate long-term prediction. It's common in international politics to get such predictions wrong apart from the most basics such as "rising new power will clash with old power".

That's a pretty optimistic scenario for 2020.

A more realistic one involves him winning the primary. I did say "by some small miracle." Although "really fucking huge miracle" would be more apt.

A doomsday case that I don't want to entertain the thought of involves him winning the whole thing.
