Name: James Uradel
Age: 24
Govt. Level: Local
Sex: Male
Appearance:
Image

Personality: Happy and optimistic, has a very positive outlook on life. Likes to make others laugh.
Bio:
James Uradel was born into a happy family in a small farming town in mid-western Ohio, to hardworking farming parents. The majority of his early life could be described as being that of pure average-ness. He went to school, got decent grades, and worked along side his parents on the family farm whenever he pouring over his school-work. But he was content with his life, and to James, that's all that mattered. During his final year in middle school, his family became suddenly reacquainted with James' eccentric grandfather, who had broke all forms of contact the year previous. Every night James would sit fixated to his grandfather, who would regale the boy with all sorts of tales and adventures, all of which were probably just that, tales. It didn't faze James in the slightest, he just enjoyed giving his elderly grandfather the time of day, as his parents seemed to ignore the man like the plague , for whatever reason.

A few years passed with nothing interesting of note occurring. James' Grandfather decided to move in with the family, to the many protests of James' father. Eventually though, he gave in, and the grandfather became a permanent addition to the family. The following year, tragedy struck. While his parents were driving home from a movie, a seemingly random semi-truck ran a red light, slamming into the side of the family car, killing his mother instantly on impact, with his father bleeding out before the paramedics could untangle his mangled corpse from the wreckage. Nothing was quite ever the same after the accident, as James and his Grandfather were left to grieve alone. The following years passed by at a snails pace, as James dragged his feet through his classes, barely passing High School in general. After the graduation, James arrived home to find his Grandfather in the middle of packing up all of their belongings. With a grin, he informed he quiet boy that they were moving to New Hampshire, as the both of them needed a change of pace. Within the day, the pair was gone, and all traces of their existence gone with them. His grandfather was.. particularly.. thorough..

The next we see of James and his grandfather is in the yer of James' 19th birthday, a year after the pair made the move out of state. The move did James a lot of good actually, apparently the change of people and scenery gave him a chance to start over, as it were. He quickly fell back into his old positive ways, devoting all of his free time to help those around him, and looking for nothing in return. Once again, James was content. By 21, at the slight prodding of his grandfather, James applied to join the local police academy. Turns out, at least one of his Grandfather's tales were actually true, the one being that he had actually been a well decorated Detective back in his early days, so well decorated that just the Uradel name alone got James into the Academy right off the bat.

The next year flew by as James dedicated himself to his studies, falling in love with the Justice system for the first time. James graduated the top of his class after six months of training, and he immediately began applying for work the day after graduation. After a year of searching, one of his application were accepted in Plymouth, Massachusetts's Police Department. The pay was decent, and the hours looked good. James accepted right away, and after bidding his Grandfather a heartfelt goodbye, moved to Plymouth, were he officially became a Plymouth police officer on his 24th birthday.

It's been one week since James was sworn in, but he's just as eager to prove himself, to both his superiors, as well as to his fellow officers..

Strengths:
-Eager to prove himself
-Will always try to lighten the mood
-Very driven
-Above Average Intelligence
- Excels in hand-to-hand/personal fighting
-Extremely observant of his surroundings
Weaknesses:
-Very green, inexperienced, having just graduated from the Academy
-New to the town, unfamiliar with the area
-Known for being a rather poor shot with semi-automatic handguns, prefers revolvers
-Can sometimes let emotions control his actions
*Quirks: Can be optimistic to the point of annoyance, a trait that causes friction with some of the more experienced officers
*Likes: Running/exercising, Writing, Chess, Revolvers
*Dislikes: Horror movies, Unnecessary violence, Alcoholics/substance abusers
*Worst Fears: Being directly responsible for the death of innocents
*Miscellaneous : Is equipped with a old S&W Model 28 Revolver
RP Examples:
Star Wars: Knightfall
Intrigue in the Court
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire

Hey, so I was planning on having my character just join the Plymouth Police Department, which would mean that the character would most likely be assigned as a partner to another more experienced officer. Would one of the other local players want to act as that more experienced partner? If not, I could make a secondary character.

Name: Leanne "Lea" Deckard
Age: 29
Govt. Level (State or Local): State
Sex: Female
Appearance: (N/a)
Personality:
    Quiet and borderline nihilistic.
Bio:
Born to Rachel and Daniel Deckard in Carson, Indiana, Lea had a relatively quiet childhood. Attending the local school, she was ostracized by the other students because of her dad's work as a police officer. While she didn't know about it until years later, her father had been accused of shooting a popular local farmer during a dispute, and though he was eventually acquitted and allowed to maintain his job, the public scorn followed him and his family for years. Lea would eventually take up an interest in criminal justice, bolstered by her father's stories of police work. He'd talk about the long nights spent out on patrol and about the eerie stories he and his buddies shared. The family's television became of particular interest, as Lea spent considerable time watching true crime shows, much to her mother's chagrin.

Lea would eventually graduate college with a degree in criminal justice, taking up a job as a patrol officer for the next eight years. During that time, she became prolific for her work ethic and values. She would go on to become a homicide detective for the Indiana State Police, being assigned to a series of serial killings on the State highways. For years, she pursued the so-called "Highwayman Killer" until one evening in December, when she disappeared from her car off the side of the road. Despite a desperate search, she wasn't found. It was as though she had vanished into thin air. Three days passed before she was found further down the road, covered in blood. All that she had with her was an empty handgun.

She was unwilling to tell anyone what had really happened, and was placed on administrative leave while other investigators looked into the case. No further evidence could be found and the Highwayman Killer ceased activities afterwards. Lea was eventually allowed back on to the force, though it was clear she had changed for the worse. Where there had once been joviality, there was now solemn silence. Where once she had met with friends at bars or the bowling alley, now she merely retreated into her apartment after her shift. Lea drifted away from others, and began taking on increasingly bizarre cases. Undercover work, cults, animal attacks, all many of projects that she'd previously ignored. Her office became a pig sty of moldering occult texts and endless notes. It eventually became too much to bear and her boss, pulling a few strings along the line, got her reassigned to a different department. In Massachusetts.

Lea did not protest and merely gathered her things, left one last rent check and headed for Massachusetts. Little did she know that her disappearance was just the beginning of a strange period in her life.

I don't want to even look at this anymore.

    Name:Charlotte Sunderland
Image
    Age: 28
    Govt. Level (State or Local):State
    Sex: Female
    Appearance:

Charlotte Sunderland is a white female with shoulder-length brunette hair and bluish green eyes who towers at 5’11 with a wiry, coltish build due to a highly active lifestyle. She has several tattoos, most being visible whilst she is on the job.

    • Neck tattoo of a crowned woman on the right side of her neck.
    • Eight-point star of Ishtar on the upper on the left inner forearm.
    • Eye of Providence with “liberum arbitrium est fallax imago” inscribed below it on the right inner forearm.
    • cross between her index finger and thumb.
    • Circle tattoo on her right index finger.
    • Triangle tattoo on her right middle finger.

Charlotte presents herself in a very professional manner, making herself look official. While she herself isn’t a particularly imposing figure, it makes her look slightly more intimidating. She keeps her hair tied away in a bun and wears plain, non-distictive clothes, often wearing mute coloured button up blouses done up to the top, dark coloured jeans or trousers and duty boots. She keeps her badge clipped to her belt and her pistol holster at a three o-clock carry, along with handcuffs and two additional magazine pouches.

    Personality:
Charlotte Sunderland is an industrious officer who is almost solely dedicated to her job as a detective. She is what could be described as a pragmatic thinker that is willing to showcase a high amount of resolve, bordering on obsession. Patient and disciplined, She has a certain persistence within her work that is almost unmatched by most other officers, with her being very unlikely to give up on something half-way through or at least until she feels that she has dedicated enough time to the problem. She is perceptive and alert, being highly analytical of her surroundings and the people. She can generally spot and document things that most people miss, is quick to sense if something is wrong and is good at reading people through their actions. She'll take a proactive approach and will act fast, showcasing a high amount of courage and bravery within the field.

She however had a rather problematic past and grew up with a fair bit of psychological trauma from her childhood which she combats with internalization. Charlotte often tries to take an apathetic and stoic approach to life and internalizes it as a barrier to avoid being burned and to deal with issues with an unbiased thought process. Dulling her own senses to try to avoid investment. However, that is often easier said than done. Despite her efforts she struggles with her own emotions on the job, with her finding it difficult to totally leave them out of the equation, particularly those that evoke memories from her youth. As a result she can quickly become invested in cases no matter how well she keeps up the stoic front. At which point she can become reckless in the field and obsessive about them to the point of self-destruction of her own mental health.

Another issue which she has is her volatility due to her lacking in an outlet for her stress. While uncommon, she has outbursts when frustration peaks from stone walling and lack of progress. Outbursts are often violent and self-destructive in nature, typically fights and the occasional fit resulting in smashed up office equipment. Anger can leak through her demeanor which results in her calm and sober demeanor being broken, with her becoming harsh and cruel towards others when she isn't getting anywhere. Her poor work life balance doesn't exactly help that factor as she has very few things to help her distress.

With her fellow staff, she can be a quiet person who likes to keep to herself but is cordial enough to not initially irk people. She can be withdrawn and somewhat aloof from conversations, those particularly dealing in small talk, with her generally disliking it but is willing to engage in it so not to seem weird among the group. She does however have a high amount of respect and loyalty around most police and detectives and has a knack for remembering the little things that makes people well appreciated, despite the feeling not often being mutual. She does have trust issues, and she doesn’t like opening up about herself, particularly when it comes to her childhood. She certainly doesn’t when people poke around in her history, being evasive and insecure when brought up, with Charlotte often becoming quickly go frustrated with those who do so by asking her a lot of questions.

    Biography:

Charlotte Sunderland came from an arguably troubled background. She was abandoned at a young age by her mother and grew up within the foster care system, moving from home to home, until she was settled in within fundamentalist catholic family, in which she suffered physical abuse from the carers due to behavior problems and rejection of their beliefs. During her early and mid-teens, she was known on a first name basis by most local police officers due to her fights and frequent run away attempts. She spent more than her fair share of nights on the street and around unsavory characters such as criminals and other ner-do wells. Thankfully however by her late teens was eventually helped back on track by the eventual close of the home and by MSP officers who went above and beyond to help her out of her situation.

She was enrolled in the MSP’s youth academy program which she performed well within, helping her deal with several the problems which she devolved in her youth and give her an outlet. It also helped drive her forward into becoming a police officer, with her feeling that she had faced injustice. Following her graduation from high school, she attended Bridgewater state university to study criminal justice and engaged well within four-year course, with her also further developing her interest the esoteric arts and other oddities around the world, becoming somewhat of a truth seeker, something in which she had taken an interest in during her youth. Charlotte graduated sometime during late 2008 and then immediately went onto apply for Massachusetts state police.

She entered training in February in 2009 and throughout the 22-week course performed extremely well, showcasing a high amount of resolve and dedication within training, which resulted in her graduating with commendations. Proving to be skilled within the investigative side of things. She primarily served within patrol for four years within troop A within SP Concord, which primarily governed over the north-east side of Massachusetts. Over the course of her service she quickly got a reputation for both her dedication and ambition, with her having an overall good record aside from the occasional anti social tick. Demonstrating the skills that would allow her to advance up the ladder into the investigative unit. During her fourth year when openings within the detective position became available, she earned the position following the detectives’ exam and earned a probationary position within Suffolk’s detective unit.

During her tenure within investigative services, Charlotte primarily worked with detective frank Boyle within Suffolk's detective unit. He was a fifteen-year veteran on the force who helped mentor her. The two worked alongside each other for two years before Boyle’s decision to go private, with them working a wide verity of cases due to the office working on a case by case basis. Charlotte primarily worked missing persons and robbery cases, but has worked on homicide cases, three to be exact. Due to the requirement of additional detectives within Plymouth thanks to the retirement and resignation of two detectives, Charlotte was selected for transfer over to the Plymouth detective unit.

    Strengths:

  • Has a good instinct and a perspective eye, can generally sense when things are wrong, can spot things that are out of the ordinary and read people well. Combine that with a high amount of patience and dedication makes Charlotte a decent detective, with her experience primarily resting in missing persons and robbery.
  • She is a decent shooter who can operate most firearms issued to police, but has never taken a life.
  • Has an understanding and interest in esoteric arts.
  • Can hold her corner in a fight and can generally take a kicking.
    Weaknesses:
  • Has little life outside of the job aside from a childhood friend that she visits now and then. As a result, she has trouble dealing with stress and often attempts to internalize her problems. Resulting in a powder keg like reaction when she simply can’t hold it anymore, making her a volatile person.
  • Has a limited experience with homicides.
  • Reacts negatively when people attempt to dig into her past and often gets frustrated with those who ask her questions based on that.
  • Has trust issues.
  • Has a certain prejudice towards Catholics.

    *Quirks:
  • Obsessively blinks, typically three or four times in a row in batches. Tends to happen when in a deep train of thought or when stressed.
  • Has issues with stress and mediates by smoking, sometimes three or four at a time and excise, mainly jogging.
    *Likes:
    *Dislikes:
*Worst Fears:Death, the unknown and the sinking feeling of dread.
*Miscellaneous (anything else you’d like to add):
Carries a previously department issued Sig P226 chambered in 40S&W when on duty rather than the newly issued M&P45. Carries a Glock 26 as her off duty firearm.

    Smokes Lucky Strike Red cigarettes.

Commonly goes by the nickname Charlie or Charly.

Patient and disciplined, Charlotte is willing to donate substantial amounts of her time towards a problem that blocks her path. Time however is rarely in her favor and often works against them. To aid in that factor, she is perceptive and alert, being highly analytical of her surroundings and the people. She can generally spot and document things that most people miss, is quick to sense if something is wrong and is good at reading people through their actions. She'll take a proactive approach and will act fast, showcasing a high amount of courage and bravery within the field.

When on the job, she takes a rather apathetic and stoic approach and internalizes her own emotions so that she can approach issues with an unbiased mind set and avoid getting burned by cases. However, is easier said than done. Despite her efforts she struggles with her own emotions on the job and finds it difficult to totally leave them out of the equation. She can quickly get emotionally invested within cases, no matter how well she keeps up the stoic front. As a result, she can be reckless in the field and obsessive about cases to the point of self-destruction, and can be particularly volatile due to her lacking in an outlet for her stress. When resistance mounts, and she gets stone walled, she has had outbursts when frustration peaks, which are often violent and self-destructive in nature, typically resulting in smashed up office equipment. Anger frequently leaks through, betraying her calm and sober demeanor, as she can become harsh and cruel towards suspects when she isn't getting anywhere. Her poor work life balance doesn't exactly help that factor as she has very few things to help her distress.

With her fellow staff, she is a quiet person who likes to keep to herself, being a withdrawn person socially. She has trust issues and she doesn’t like opening up. She certainly doesn’t when people poke around in her history, being evasive and insecure when brought up, with Charlotte often becoming quickly go frustrated with those who do so by asking her a lot of questions. Outside of that however, she is friendly if not slightly abrasive and humorless. She generally has trouble maintaining small talk, disliking it thoroughly but is often required to engage in it so not to seem weird. She does however care about her fellow detectives and tends to remember the little things, with her having a high amount of loyalty for her fellow officers.
