i want to support the nationalists but they appear to be allied with Islamists...so no...
You can support the FNRB without supporting Jahbat al-Islam or the Hezbollah Brigades. For example, Apror is supporting the CRA but not the BDF.

does the FNRB ideologically help the Islamists?
or are they merely allies of convenience
The FNRB directly helps the Hezbollah Brigades, which are yes, Islamist, but not as radical/extremist. Jahbat al-Islam and the FNRB do not conduct operations together and are merely allies of convenience, thus Jahbat al-Islam does not receive material, training or logistical support from the FNRB. Jahbat al-Islam gets its stuff from the Hezbollah Brigades.

Also, I thought the Ba'athists are pro-socialism. Why are they fighting communists?

I did not know what side should I choose, so I instead created this NS account. JLR is a group of Jewish nationalists, many of them are veterans of Radimostanian Self-Defense Forces or at least former members of local militias.
Are you Melissa too?

Approved. How do you intend to get them into Basran though? You could sneak them into the southern islands held by the JSDU.
