I don't quite understand this aspect of the description. Unit aside, seems rather big for a nanobot.

That's what I had in mind when I wrote it up. I didn't want it to be your everyday nanobots where like 600 fill a glass of water, I wanted them to be big, like really big, so that one is noticable. But you're right; nanobots the wrong term

As for the dimensions, I wanted them to be boxes with legs so they get a cube as their dimensions.

I see...reminds me of the Replicators from Stargate.

Also, you probably didn't mean cubic millilitres.

I'm not much inclined to post until the voyage gets underway. Not a lot to do otherwise. By the way, would Paul be traveling on the Isaac itself, or on one of the escort vessels?

Man, I am bad at the metric system. I'll edit it up to millimeters.

Also, I've been rereading all of my apps, OOC, and IC posts, and the grammar is atrocious. I'm going to proofread these things more and stop editing them in post like I've been doing.

The standard of Piontek, which, when placed on a blue background, doubles as the flag

Nation name: Republic of Piontek
Homeworld: Tollak
Government system: Claimed to be a democracy, actually a plutocracy
Main ideology: Although it is often said that every citizen has an equal vote in Piontek, repeated constitutional amendments have reduced the voting population to citizens without debt, who keep an iron grip on the nation, ensuring that they benefit, and keeping the underbelly of society under an iron fist.
Level of freedom: Low. All those born into working class families are shouldered with debt for housing, food, etc. and have to work to pay of their debt, which of course is compounded by education, food, equipment costs, etc. Few have made it out of the working class, and most that do leave Tollak immediately for a better life.
Military description:
Image

The Piontek Cruiser Fist of Tollak on patrol near Piontek. One of the most expensive ships in the galaxy, Piontek makes sure to keep at least 4 in its arsenal, both to fight pirates and prevent annexation by the Cyanian Empire

The military of Piontek is one of the best in the galaxy, as the leaders of the nation want nothing more than to protect their wealth. Despite every soldier being an indentured servant, they receive the best possible training and equipment (which may be another gambit to give them another debt to pay off), giving them a substantial advantage in combat. Every soldier is promised that for every tour of duty successfully served with the military, their debt obligations will be cut in half. Aware of this, the leaders of Piontek tend to send the most veteran ships against powerful pirate fleets, which does them the favor of warding off robbers, and ensuring that the underclass is kept in its place by killing off those who have a chance of leaving indentured servitude.
Economy: Great for now, not so much in the future(see history).
HISTORY OF PIONTEK

Prepared by the Piontek budget office, not to be disclosed to any citizen with debt

Piontek was first discovered by the stranded survivors of the Fortitude. After crash landing, they attempted to navigate to a rescue point. This failed, and the compasses they had kept spinning. It was at that point that they realized they were standing on what amounted to a planet made of iron. They chose to remain on the planet and mine it for all its wealth. During the years that the Rheim Imperium ruled, convicts were imported to work in the mines, their children being born into the harsh conditions and having to work. All miners can trace their lineage to a convict ship. When the Rheim Imperium fell, the leaders of the planet, making sweet money off of their unpaid labor, neglected to tell the workers that the entire galactic order has changed.

With the Rheim Imperium gone, Tollak quietly declared independence, and managed to discourage Cyanian fleets with its powerful ships (see above) and avoid annexation. However, the boom created by mining left the economy in sore need of diversification, and most mining engineers report that the iron inside of Tollak will be extinguished within 5-10 years, leaving a population of miners with no means to leave, and no infrastructure other than what serves the mines, including agriculture. The leaders of Piontek have been preparing to leave for some time now, and security forces have been bolstered in preparation for bread riots.

Geography and Climate: Rocky and uninhabitable, surface temp of -143 degrees Celsius, its cozy underground though
Culture and History: (see above)

That'd be up to you. I'd have Emilia offer you the WSO seat, but unless you have the training for it there's not much to do. I'd recommend the Medusa or Backatri's character's ship, since they're gunships and probably have the room.

Name: RMS Isaac
Make and model: Krenim Reliant-class freighter
Appearance: A big, green, boxy ship based off a heavy assault ship design that Krenim tried and failed to sell to the Cyanian Navy. Has a set of three atmospheric steering fins that, despite their size, aren't terribly efficient. Reliants notably have two cylindrical shield generators located below and aft of the bridge, which looks a bit like a dumbbell with the weights rotated to lie flat.
Length, Width, Height: 500 m long, 155 m wide, 130 m tall
Weapons and Shielding: 22x light antiproton cannons, 4x flechette drone dispensers, 4x torpedo launchers (2 bow 2 stern), point-defense and bubble-defense military-grade shields (Specific models of both classified), ablative armor.
Propulsion: 4x Rolls-Royce Elbrus sublight jets, Doeo D519-B FTL drive.
Cargo capacity: Classified
Seats: Enough. The Isaac, like all Reliants, features six armories, eight galleys, a main, battle, and backup bridge, and enough quarters to accommodate 4,500 easily, as well as one 200x100x50m hangar.
Special Features: The Isaac has vastly improved weapons and shielding compared to stock, and a pocket-dimension storage space not available on the standard Reliant class.

Giese as pictured moments before occupation by the mercenaries of Radko's Fist. The comet is considered by CyIntel to be a keystone of outlaws in the Void, and are offering huge bounties to those that can destroy it. None have.

Planet Name: Giese
Atmosphere: N/A
Size and Mass: 80 km, 4.3 x 108 kg
Axial Tilt, Orbital Distance, and Number N/A, Interstellar comet
Geography and Climate: Rocky, and -132 degrees Celsius on the surface
Culture and History: An interstellar comet, Giese was peacefully crossing the galaxy throughout all of history, seeing the fall of the Rheim Imperium and the rise of the new order. Being a small comet, it didn't attract much attention until it was intercepted by 'retired' mercenaries on the ship Radko's Fist, who set about establishing a tavern and inn on the comet, along with a battery of anti-ship weapons to prevent destruction. It had become a popular destination for those who want to lay low, as its far out of the reach of Cyanian fleets, and is going fast enough to keep its actually location dubious. For the average fugitive, it ranks high above border worlds. It is said to have many of the galaxy's most wanted, and CyIntel has placed its destruction to be a priority. It's best described as a Dodge, Kansas of the Great Void, with little-to-no actual law enforcement, and absolutely brimming with thugs, pirates, and other criminals-for-hire. The tavern is named the Giese Tap.

Business Name: Titan-Flying J Travel Centers Corp, doing business as Titan Travel Centers for orbital, asteroid/comet and free-floating space stations and Flying-J Travel Centers for land-based stations.
Atmosphere: Controlled atmo of 35% oxygen, 45% nitrogen, 10% argon, 5% neon, 5% xenon, pressurized to 110% that of Earth at sea level. For species who cannot handle these atmospheres, pressure suits with built-in air tanks of your choice of air mix are provided free of charge for up to 30 minutes of use, and 500 credits/hour for longer.
Size: Varies widely. Titans come in five sizes: Micro, which have a diameter of 3 km, Mini, with a diameter of 5 km, Standard, with a diameter of 10 km, Max, with a diameter of 15 km, and Supermax, with a diameter of 25 km. All Titan stations have a height in km equal to their diameter.
Number of Locations: Titan operates 1,320,000 locations galactically, with 50% in Cyanian space, 30% in neutral and Cyanian-friendly space, and the remaining 20% in the Great Void along the more commonly-visited trade routes within. Most inhabited Cyanian systems have one, and even a few uninhabited ones.
Amenities: The orange sign of a Titan is a common and welcome sight to mercenaries, pirates, captains, cops, and commoners throughout almost any part of space human eyes have ever gazed upon. Featuring a wide variety of shops, restaurants, hotels, fuel, games, and relaxation areas, as well as conference rooms and communications stations, Titan stations are the modern version of the ancient Earth 'truck stop'.
History: Started in orbit around Saturn's moon Titan (hence the name) in 2404. Initially a branch of Pilot-Flying J, their space station branch (which started on Titan) soon proved popular enough to become its own division, later its own company, and finally, in 2906, large enough to purchase its former parent company. Nowadays Titans are an almost guaranteed sight along the major trade routes and even the minor ones. After the end of the Rheim Empire, they expanded into formerly Rheiman space, even into the Great Void. Despite hosting people from all species, ideologies, and levels of income, Titans are generally pretty safe, thanks to the automated defense systems. People tend not to start fights when fights get broken up by airgun turrets mounted in the ceiling. Popular among certain species due to their lack of a smoking ban, unlike their main competitors Vraga-Penzin and Wilkim.

Norv, if the Stowaway is looking for a berth, Natalya has enough room for someone to bunk down. Flavian isn't really fussed as to who hitches a ride, since there's nothing wrong at all with a bit of conversation. That or you can probably man a gun on the main ship.

Smashing. I think the juxtaposition between a simple religious man looking for redemption and a rather literally hellish sinner who thinks himself beyond salvation may prove fertile ground for inspiration.

It is now utterly complete.

Korhal IVV wrote:
Name: Rhünir Hazakhar
Age: Well over seven centuries.
Gender: Male
Species: Kysaduran(Vizier)
Nationality/Allegiance: The Kysaduran Protectorate
Physical appearance:
Identifying Marks: Runic tracks of light emblazoned on his armor, and a mask he wears at all times.

Skills: Wields powerful eldritch powers as a Kysaduran Vizier. He is a deadly psyker that is not be trifled with. In addition, Rhünir is proficient in the use of metal claws and is deadly with it in combat.
Personality: Despite the general stereotype that insectoids would be evil of sorts, the Kysadurans are quite the opposite, at least partially. Likewise, Rhünir is pragmatic and quite an observer. He is sometimes manipulative and will make use of others as a sword and a shield. However, that does not remove the fact that Rhünir is loyal towards those he calls "friend", and these are few in count. He is unyielding to any foe and is an intelligent fighter.
Weaknesses: In all his eldritch power and melee proficiency, he is quite young for a Kysaduran Vizier and may act rashly at times, giving enemies an opening on which to strike. In addition, he cannot reach enemies that are afar.

He also has a phobia of bats. Really.
Likes/dislikes: Likes - Crackles of lightning and thunder, explosions, "the fields of friendship", human anime
Dislikes - Anything reptilian, propaganda
Interests:(Optional)
Fears: That this mission will be a failure...

Bio: Born inside a colony ship named Modrus, the would be Vizier had quite a fortune at his hands. The Grand Viziers of Modrus soon detected that this one hatchling is quite gifted in eldritch power, and soon enough, Rhünir was being trained in the ways of psychic destruction.

Years later, the Modrus was raided by an alien fleet. The ill-prepared occupants were slaughtered in droves, except for one. Rhünir.

Rhünir, who has five centuries of age at that time, woke up from stasis to find that he is the last survivor of the ship. As the enemies surrounded him, he unleashed his eldritch psychic power and activating the defense drones of the ship, singlehandedly destroying every single one of the intruders. He then boarded one of the ships in the hangar, a Star Seeker class ship. With it, he went home to Zauros.

Naming the ship Night Haunter, it was in Zauros where it was modified. Stealth systems and an antimatter core replaced the fusion core, making it even more dangerous in battle. Gathering other like minded individuals, Rhünir and his crew, assisted by a force of Pulsar Destroyers and Nightfury Battlecruisers, roamed the Great Void, destroying pirate ships at the droves. Then, news came that the Reihm has fallen. Wishing to see the universe in full, the Vizier and his crew made for a world called Mars... to a certain place called..
. Thrawn B7.Hmmm... what could the presence of a certain powerful psyker mean...?
Reason for Being on Thrawn B7: Primarily because the Protectorate has opened its borders and thus, he and his crew wish to see the rest of the universe...
RP Sample:
CAPTAIN TO ENTERPRISE (DO NOT REMOVE)

Name: Night Haunter
Make and model:
Appearance:
Length, Width, Height: 45 meters long, 10 meters wide and 15 meters high.
Weapons and Shielding: It uses a single prismatic beam for weaponry. This prismatic beam is powered by an antimatter core, granting it enormous energy output. It is extremely effective on damaging enemies from behind. That makes Night Haunter more of a sniper than a dogfighter.

The shields are highly resilient, able to take quite a punishment before going down.
Propulsion: Ionic Engines
Cargo capacity:
Seats: 30
Special Features: True to its name, it is a true Haunter of the Night. It is armed with highly advanced cloaking technology that allows it to attack even while cloaked for a short duration.
ALL I ASK IS A TALL SHIP

Species Name: Kysadurans(by other races), the Geochroni(by themselves)
Scientific Name: Sub Venandi(Underground Hunter)
Homeworld: Marthios(formerly)
Natural lifespan: Varies amongst the race. Queens and Spiderlords are biologically immortal, and Viziers(powerful psykers) have severely extended life spans of more than a few thousand years. Ordinary workers live for 80 years, winged flyers for 50, and warriors for 200. The most average citizens lives for a century.
Physical description: They... are insectoid? At first glance, they may seem to be somewhat like oversized ants, but in closer inspection, they have eight limbs, characteristic of arachnids, and torsos that vaguely resemble that of humans. Their eyes can see beyond the ultraviolet spectrum, and they have eight of these, though only a masked face can usually be seen by onlookers. They usually hide their soft bodies beneath chitinous carapaces and steel armor.

They are innately psionic race, and all are initially capable of telepathy, but a select few are exceptionally gifted. These gifted ones become the Viziers.

Are they good or evil? It is difficult to say. By nature, the Kysadurans are more or less willing to cooperate with the Empire, and loath the Federation by all means. However, they show no repugnance in doing the Horde some favors. At the same time, they are neutral in galactic affairs, taking neither side. Judging from this, they can be said to be observers that are tired of seeing planets burn and explode. The ignorance and blatant propaganda of humanity disgusts them, and the bias of the reptilian Federation towards non-reptilian species pleases them by no means. The Horde's conquest for galactic domination causes the pragmatic Kysadurans to loath them a little bit. However, in their current state, they are in no place to challenge the great powers, let alone face them in battle. And so, compromises are to be made.
Culture and History: The Kysadurans are an ancient race, dating back to the days when dinosaurs still walked the Earth. Rising from the world of Marthios near the galactic core, they evolved from smaller, weaker creatures known as the Kysa. The Kysa were insectoid creatures that were little more than animals at first, feeding, mating, and dying. However, times changed when an alien artifact mysteriously activated in the planet, mutating all of its inhabitants. In the case of the Kysa, they turned to the Kysadurans. Sentient insectoids. But they were not alone. In other areas of the planet, two more sentient species arose, the crustacean Urjarn of the deep sea, and the humanoid Targanath of the high mountains. The three races battled for domination in the world of Marthios. In land, the Kysadurans reigned supreme over the plains, but the Targanath ruled the mountains. Elsewhere, the Urjarn struck now and then from the sea, only to retreat soon after. This warfare continued for many centuries, and when Marthios reached the Modern Age, the endless conflict escalated.

Armed with nuclear weapons, the Kysadurans destroyed the Targanath mountain strongholds, and the Urjarns cowered in fear that they would be next. And so it was. The seas turned red as hundreds of millions were slaughtered by the Kysaduran war machine. But alas, they have turned fate against them. By choking the seas in blood, the ecosystem went into chaos, and all life in the seas died, save for microbes. The remaining Urjarn and Targanath mocked the Kysadurans for their foolishness, and it was true. Soon enough, the world itself was dying due to the radiation brought by the nuclear weapons of the Kysadurans. In a desperate measure, the Kysaduran nations formed a plan to evacuate the planet itself. Pooling their resources together, they built multi generation colony ships in order to save what remains of their population. And so, around 100,000 years ago, the Kysadurans left their planet for good.

After many centuries in space, the colony ships landed on a bountiful world by the name of Zauros. The gravity was high, but it was alright. Here, they built a new civilization. In the course of many years, the Kysaduran nation grew beyond their initial colony first. First they colonized the other planets of the Zauros system, before moving on to others once FTL was developed. They built a budding empire around the galactic core, forging the stars in their liking. Until... THEY came.

Their old foes from Marthios. The Urjarn and the Targanath. While they were foes in the past, they had a common enemy now. Unknown to the Kysadurans when they left Marthios, the remaining Urjarn and Targanath were taken and uplifted by... someone. It is unknown who exactly, but the Urjarn and Targanath descended upon the empire with great fury. Armed with otherwordly weaponry and starships that can cross the galaxy at the blink of an eye, they wreaked horrific devastation before they were finally stopped at huge cost at the great battle of the Steel Nebula. The war resulted in the deaths of 50% of the population, most of the queens, and the loss of 80% of their colonies. The nation buckled on itself and simply collapsed. For the next 12 centuries, anarchy and chaos reigned over the ruins of the empire. Until... he came.

Anathar Theron, lord of Zauros, began a great campaign to subdue the anarchic colonies and bring them under a new empire. For nearly a hundred years, this crusade lasted until Anathar himself was killed in battle. A new unified Kysaduran nation, however, stood strong. While it can never hope to match the old empire in any of its glory, it is still a force to contend with. For nearly 10,000 years, this nation, known as the Kysaduran Protectorate, isolated itself, until during the after math of Rehmian Collapse, they finally opened their gates. What awaits them in this dark galaxy?
CONSIDERED A DELICACY (DO NOT REMOVE)

Nation name: Kysaduran Protectorate
Homeworld: Zauros
Government system: A feudal monarchy. A single Highlord rules the entire nation, but each world is in turn ruled by a lesser Planetary Master, who answers to the Highlord.
Main ideology: The Kysadurans operate under an ideology that compared to them, the lives of the lesser races that have inherited the galaxy are worthless, and they must do everything in their power in order to ensure their survival. With the Great Void reeking with hostile forces, the Kysadurans are a race constantly beset by war. They are considered as a race slowly inching towards extinction, with their slow reproduction rates being countered by combat losses. With most queens dead from the war against the Urjarn and Targanath centuries past, the entire race has been forced to genetically engineer themselves to be capable of procreating normally. However, this has been painfully slow, and many of the surviving queens are sterile.
Level of freedom: High. The Kysadurans have a society of equality, at least for members of their race. With their high standards of livng, wealth, and freedom to choose what path in life to take - The Protectorate is a society to marvel at.
Military description: The Star Fleet is composed of warships that operate under the Protectorate's banner. Their ships are divded into 4 types - Escorts, Cruisers, Battleships, and Carriers.
Appearance wise, they resemble Eldar warships in 40k.

Escort -

Pulsar Class Destroyer

Most notable for its simplicity, it has a deadly Pulsar Lance, highly efficient stellar drives, and nothing else. The Pulsar crushes single targets with a single deadly blow from its pulsar lance, ripping them from their base atoms. As its Pulsar Lance and stellar drives draw so much energy, its crew are usually little more than skeleton crews that fire the gun and pilot the ship. They are incapable of repelling boarding actions... if the foe can get near enough.

Terror Class Destroyer

True to its name, the Terror Class is a terrifying prospect indeed. While indeed smaller than the destroyers of other races, it is by no means weaker. Armed with a wave motion cannon and a hundred side batteries, the Terror is fully capable of destroying enemy ships larger than itself.

Star Seeker Class Escort

Surgical strike craft armed with a single prismatic beam primed to destroy enemies from afar, the Star Seekers are highly dangerous with their continous focus beams that deal horrific damage over time. They are the smallest at a mere 45 meters long.

Cruiser Classes -

Blackveil Class Cruiser -

Arguably the most effective attack cruiser of the Kysaduran Starfleet, the Blackveil is the bane of the shipping of any starfaring empire. True to its name, the Blackveil strikes from the shadows and retreats before the foe can strike back.

Stardeath Heavy Cruiser-

The Stardeath is a notorious starship that is capable of outrunning even the swiftest escorts of other races. IT combines firepower, high amounts of manoeuvrability, and tremendous speed into a single terrifying package.

Battleship/Battlecruiser Classes-

Brightstar Class -
The pinnacle of Kysaduran Starship technology, the Brightstar is a rare, prized, and dangerous battleship that easily obliterates lesser ships with its superior weaponry. The Brightstar is highly manoeuverable for a battleship, and are more than a match for the larger battleships of other races with its speed, holo-fields, pulsar cannons, wave motion gun, and hundreds of kinetic and laser batteries.

Nightfury Class -
The Nightfury Class Battlecruisers are known as lesser versions of the Brightstar. They are highly manoeuverable, and are deadly with their numerous ionic and laser cannons. They are highly difficult to target due to their holofield projectors, which cause several "ghost ships" to appear in enemy sensors, concealing the real ship.
Economy: The Kysaduran planets are usually bountiful in resources, giving the Protectorate great economic wealth. If it is a nation in Earth, it would be a first world nation. The Protectorate furiously defends its wealth with its elusive starships.

Character is an interesting idea, but too OP. Tone down the psyker powers (unless he's going without a weapon, in which case... I suppose but make sure he isn't a one-bug army) and I'd rather your fighter have a powerful gun or powerful shields, not both. Also would like a longer bio but whatever.

And the navy definitely needs to be toned back. The Cyanian Navy is the most powerful and advanced in the galaxy at the moment, as far as anyone outside the inner depths of the Great Void know. Personally I'd go further with the Eldar references and give them the Eldar navy's weaknesses - strong against energy weapons, utterly pathetic against physical weapons like missiles, slugs, and RKVs. Or boarding parties.

Windows 10 forced update ate my post and I'm absolutely fucking livid. Will see if I can recover it and post today but don't count on it. Expect it tomorrow morning.

OK so NationStates managed to save it, so it'll probably be up late tonight.

Name: Rhünir Hazakhar
Age: Well over seven centuries.
Gender: Male
Species: Kysaduran(Vizier)
Nationality/Allegiance: The Kysaduran Protectorate
Physical appearance:
Identifying Marks: Runic tracks of light emblazoned on his armor, and a mask he wears at all times.

Skills: Wields powerful eldritch powers as a Kysaduran Vizier. He is a deadly psyker that is not be trifled with. In addition, Rhünir has several robotic drones that accompany him at all times.
Weaknesses: In all his eldritch power, he is quite young for a Kysaduran Vizier and may act rashly at times, giving enemies an opening on which to strike. In addition, he cannot reach enemies that are afar.

His most obvious weakness is that while he can unleash devastating eldritch powers at his foes, all it takes is a well placed slash, or a good shot with a rifle to remove him from battle. The question is, however, is not getting burned with psychic fire before one is able to do that slash, or being shot by one of Rhünir's servitors before that good shot is done.

The shields are not so glorious, as Night Haunter is intended as a long range damage dealer.
Propulsion: Ionic Engines
Cargo capacity:
Seats: 30
Special Features: True to its name, it is a true Haunter of the Night. It is armed with highly advanced cloaking technology that allows it to attack even while cloaked for a short duration.

Until... he came.

I'll try to get a post up in the next day or two.
For really, I think that the poorest he that is in England hath a life to live as the greatest he. And therefore truly, Sir, I think it's clear that every man that is to live under a Government ought first by his own consent to put himself under that Government. And I do think that the poorest man in England is not at all bound in a strict sense to that Government that he hath not had a voice to put himself under.

Also, because I can't resist a paradox: Emilia is tuning into a radio broadcast while moving several thousand times faster than the radio waves that carry it. That is some true techno-sorcery.

EDIT: Also, G-Tech, if the creepy woman is some kind of incarnation of Natalya, can Paul see her? Or is she exclusively in Flavian's head?
