Just finished up my portrait for Willow and will update my app accordingly.

Probably wasn't the best drawing to figure out digital painting for the first time on, but she turned out pretty well.

Juuust in case somebody doesn't flick back to my app, one important physical characteristic Willow is that she's really tall. That's about the most memorable thing she is appearance-wise.

Personality: Usually Aiden is a complete sweetheart. Its a rare moment when he isn't happy, often bounding around with excitement. He's always ready to laugh with friends, and he considers most people a friend. Combined with his deceptively young looks, most people would guess that he's a werepuppy instead of a weretiger.

However, his nickname is Switch for a reason. When sufficiently angered or if he needs to fight, Aiden has the ability to shift into a massive weretiger. Standing at 7'2'' and weighing 450 pounds, Aiden looks and acts like a mindless killing machine. Strategy and stealth go out the window, replaced by speed, strength, and brute force.

Biography:Aiden was born into a loving family as the youngest out four siblings. From an early age his constantly cheerful and excited personality was readily apparent. As a toddler he would run up to random strangers and greet them with a hello and a smile. While they weren't rich by any means, the Bradys were solidly middle class and Aiden was given almost anything a child could want. Life was essentially normal until he turned ten. The product of a weretiger father and a human mother, none of Aiden's siblings had inherited the ability to transform. Aiden did, as his family found out when he turned in a fit of rage and smashed a table to bits.

His father started to train Aiden and taught him how to harness his ability to transform when needed, and Aiden took to it well. By the age of 14 he could switch into and out of his wereform. One of his brothers gave him the apt nickname of Switch, and it stuck. After that, nothing too exciting happened in his life. Despite him being an extremely bright kid, he never did well in school, barely managing to pass all of his classes. When asked why, he simply said that none of the classes were practical. Wanting a good life for their child but not knowing what to do, his parents thought long and hard before hearing about the famed Assassination Academy. It seemed like a good choice given Aiden's abilities. Besides, it was completely free. So with their blessing, Aiden set off to learn about the art of killing.

Combat Information
Equipment: A backpack with multiple changes of clothes, some snacks, water, and a pocket knife. The only weapon he carries is a AU-CP7 and a spare clip, for use in truly desperate situations.
Fighting style: Switch's fighting style is quite simple: turn into a massive weretiger, rush at the enemy, and then tear them apart. Repeat as needed. He is proficent with firearms and can handle himself in a straight fistfight, but skilled opponents could easily overwhelm him when not in his wereform.
strengths: Incredibly durable when in his were form, and strong and fast as well. When combined with the ferocity of tiger, he's not someone to be trifled with. He's also incredibly upbeat and nearly impossible to bring down.
weaknesses: Can be easily defeated by a competent fighter when in his human form. He becomes little more than a raging beast when in his wereform, unable to create or follow specific plans.
Special moves: Transform: Switch lives up to nickname and transforms into his other form. Due to years of practice, he can do it on command and can avoid rage induced transformations. Mostly.

Combat Statistics

Human
Power: 15 He doesn't hit all that hard, and he certainly isnt the deadliest person in a gunfight.
Endurance: 35 He can take a few hard knocks if needed.
Agility: 40 He's incredibly fast, and a good climber. While it wouldn't exactly be easy for him, he is capable of climbing a three story building. He has yet to meet someone who he can't easily dust in a footrace.
Intelligence: 45 While he's not quite a genius, Aiden is very intelligent. He can up new subjects relatively quickly and loves logic puzzles.
Special Moves: 40 He only has one: the ability to turn into a weretiger.

Weretiger
Power: 65 Do not get near those claws. Or fangs. Or any part of him. He can tear apart a small car or punch through a wall with ease.

Endurance: 60 Not really a measure of how much damage he mitigates, its more of how much he can ignore and keep going. The answer is a lot.

Agility: 15 He has trouble making quick or sharp turns. A clever opponent could easily use this to knock him off balance.

Intelligence: 10 While he's able to differentiate friend and foe, it's not easy for him. If he were to be struck accidentally by an ally, he wouldn't be able to tell it was a mistake. He can't really track prey, instead relying on the initial fight to defeat his enemies.

Special Moves: 15 All he can do is switch back to being a human, and lose any advantage he had. The exertion of changing back causes severe exhaustion.

RP example:
Taking a deep breath, Aiden took in the ocean air greedily. He had always loved the sea but he never really got to visit it much due to living in a city. But now he'd be on an island surrounded by the ocean at all times. Another reason to be thankful. Aiden smiled, glad that he was going to make something of himself. He would have to contact his parents as soon as possible and let them know he was okay. While it certainly wasn't there their first choice, Aiden was lucky that they knew he would never do well in a regular school.

As Aiden glanced around the crowded ship, he tried to guess which of the passengers were students and which were just residents of the island. He couldn't really tell. From what he heard, people of all ages and backgrounds were accepted by the school. For all he knew, everyone on the boat was a new student. His thoughts were interrupted as the boat entered the harbor, sounding its horn to let people know that they had arrived. As soon as it was down, Aiden was the first off the gangplank. While a little nervous, he was mostly excited. Switch Brady was ready to become an assassin.

These numbers are very high for the explanation given. If he was simply pretty good at running and climbing, the number would be much lower than it is. You can give your character more credit if you are going to keep these numbers high.

Being that your main combat abilities are in using your weretiger form to attack, I'm going to ask that you raise the value of your special move. In addition to this, if you'd like to keep the descriptions that you have for your agility and your intelligence, then you can lower those stats, keep the descriptions, and raise this stat.

Being that intelligence is less about cognitive ability and more about prediction and tracking, I would need to know what this means for your fighting style. Other than the stat changes this is a really solid app. Just make sure the stats that I've highlighted here get looked at.

Appearance: Standing at 5'9" with a frame that's neither too athletic nor too out of shape, Matti blends in with a crowd relatively easy, something that has proven to be useful in his endeavors

Personality: While some may see it somewhat ironic considering his specialty, Matti is fairly talkative and quite loud when he speaks. The constant stress and need for discipline while "On The Job" means that when he has time to spare he likes to enjoy every minute of it. Where this is most shown is at social gatherings, specifically parties, where Matti is often the first one to introduce himself as well as the first to order a round of drinks. However, when on the job, Matti's colorful personality turns into a dull shade of professionalism, as he knows just what the consequences of failure will mean for him.
Biography: While Alterra may have been seen as the economic powerhouse of Nexus, this didn't mean poverty was non-existent in the nation. Unfortunately for Matti, he had to learn this the hard way as he grew up in the low-income area of Bright City, a town notorious for both its gambling casinos and the crime bosses that run them from behind the curtain. Due to a large-scale bet that went the wrong way for his father, Matti and the rest of his family were forced to live in both fear and squalor as they worked desperately to pay off their debt to the Luna Brother Cartel.

While the family, including Matti and his younger sister Erika, worked as much as they could to pay off their debts, it just wasn't enough to please the Cartel. On the eve of his 17th birthday, Matti's father was gunned down in the middle of the night, the identity of the perpetrators officially recognized as unknown. However, it was clear for the Susi family who had done it, and the message was clear: Pay up, or else. For Matti, now the man of the household, he knew that he'd have to do something fast or else his family would suffer the consequences. So he packed up his bags for the place he knew could get him rich fast, as long as he had the skills to do it, and that was the Assassination Academy.

It was quickly discovered that Matti had a great eye for things as well as an almost impeccable skill for breaking and entering places undetected, likely due to the instances in which Matti was forced to do just that in order to steal food or money from those stupid enough to leave themselves exposed. While most first-years tended to shy away from the more dangerous Jobs available, Matti took on each and every one that was available. On those he was selected for, he made sure to pocket anything valuable from the targets that he could, sending them back to his family as a way to stave off the loan sharks. The school is aware of this and has given him several warnings, but due to his relatively high success record, they allow it to continue on for the time being.

  • 6-Inch Combat Knife
  • Various tools situated around his waist that can be used to break and enter either through physical or electronic means, which can range from lockpicks, blowtorches, and small amounts of plastic explosives
Fighting style: Matti prefers to avoid all-out confrontation and instead take his opponents by surprise in places that they'd least expect them, such as while they're watching TV, sleeping in their beds, or using the toilet (That last one being a bit messy to clean up after). Thus, close quarters are where he thrives. Should he be without his firearms, he is relatively skilled with his knife and is not afraid to kick his opponent in the balls if it means he gets to live another day
strengths: Capable of bypassing almost every obstacle any target tries to put between them as well as use his brains to create unorthodox means of achieving success
weaknesses: If it comes to an all out shootout or brawl, Matti is at a distinct advantage if he's unable to retreat

Special moves:
  • Quiet As A Whisper: Using a variety of techniques learned through both his upbringing as well as his education at the school, Matti is able to maneuver practically undetected for a period of time, albeit requiring his full attention
  • Hacking Wiz: Matti has a knack for computers, and there aren't many systems out there that can keep him out given he has the right amount of time and patience

Power: 30
While Matti is by no means a weak guy, he's definitely not the strongest out there. He has enough strength to allow him to traverse through various places, but in a physical confrontation he's not much better than you're average day Joe.
Endurance: 30
Matti's fighting style relies on putting his opponent in a situation where they have no chance to strike back. Therefore, in a long drawn out fight, Matti is at a definite disadvantage.
Agility: 40
If it's one thing Matti can do, however, it's avoid a hit. His cat-like reflexes as well as superior flexibility means he can do things from side-stepping away from an oncoming rocket to maneuvering his way up a sheer rock face.
Intelligence: 40
Matti is always one step ahead of his opponents in term of strategy. By the time his opponent has realized that fight has started, Matti has already won it.
Special Moves: 35
Matti relies heavily on both his stealth as well as his hacking ability to get through sticky situation, but the good thing is that as long as he's given enough time both of his skills take little to no physical toll on him, albeit a mental one.

While Matti may lack in physical raw fighting ability, his prowess in setting up his targets into just the right situation makes him a deadly threat to anyone who thinks they're safe and sound in their highly guarded security compound. Here's a little hint: They're not.

Umm yeah I'm okay with them from a balance perspective. I'd like to hear a bit more about them from a lore perspective though. Like where do they live? What's sort of a history have they had? how have they reacted to the pressures of modern life? That stuffs not a massive priority so work on your app first if you'd prefer but I eventually want to have a writeup we can add to the front page at some point.

Name: Kierr
Appearance: In his standard form, Kierr appears as a boy of around 5 or 6, fair-skinned to the point of paleness with long, blonde hair and rather graceful, feminine features. His eyes, in both his standard and changed form, are light brown and innocent in appearance, and in both forms his hands are almost velvety smooth. In his changed form, Kierr is black. By black this does not refer to black in the normal sense of the word when referring to human appearance: Kierr's scales are jet black and highly reflective, to the point that he often appears to glisten in strong sunlight. His appearance in his changed form, though tall at around 7 and a half feet tall, is relatively delicate despite his obvious strength, and this is amplified by the fact that in both forms he moves gracefully, almost as if he is dancing.
Age: 44, though the Vakali age around half the speed of humans.
Birthplace: Karul forest, Vakalmanir (more on that to come in the lore post when I get round to it.)
Nationality: Vakali
Personality: Kierr is friendly, and tries his very best to be polite. He takes what he does, killing, as something of an art form; always expressing criticism if it was not done correctly in his view, and his appreciation for particular moves. Though friendly, he believes that he is still bound by the same peculiar honour system that the Vakali have, and takes things like stealing and lying very seriously; therefore he often comes across as over the top in his reaction to such things, especially as his closest friends are not exempt from such harsh rebukes. Despite this, he displays extremely fierce loyalty and will try and protect his friends even if it is not necisary. Like all Vakali, he loves nature.
Biography: Kierr was born in one of the many forests in which the Vakali dwell, and lived a normal life. He attended school, which he excelled at; he played with the other children, he sang songs, heard stories: all was good until his first 'changing.'
They say a Vakali's color is his or her soul looking out; they say you'll know his mind by how he looks and that his actions will show you that you were right. They say it, and it is scarily true; for Kierr however, it wasn't; not that the others knew that though.
Kierr was the darkest Vakali seen in around 300 years, and at that point his carefree existence stopped. The other children shunned him; adults looked away out of fear and dread; Kierr was left with his studies, his magic and his bruding. They say a Vakali's color shows his soul; Kierr's color changed his.
Years went by and Kierr's situation didn't change at all. Though top of his class for magic, he didn't get all the same celebrations others got; rather the people continued to shun him...some day he'd snap, and that day came a few years prior to his coming upon the academy.
Kierr had set up a small business which sold something that the Vakali very much disapproved of: Kierr was a swordsmith. He sold to anyone; vakali, human, elf...man, woman, child and his swords were good, fast and lethal blades that were always balanced just right for the client. When the elders decided therefore that his business should not continue, therefore, one of these swords did an excellent 'off with his head' motion...Kierr had killed for the first time.

Combat Information
Equipment: Kierr carries a sword he named elmantien, a plain and unfurnished blade of steel which he knows to be the best for his hand. It is slender yet light, and he knows how to use it. He also paints magical symbols upon his body, which expand and retract as he changes. In addition, he carries a backpack with a number of changes of clothes in both his small and large sizes.
Fighting style: sword, magic and if the situation is very desperate, magic
strengths: Very strong magic user, agile, good at forming bonds of friendship.
weaknesses: His child form is very weak and fragile (it's your average kid), and his large form can't take a great deal of punishment. He is somewhat naïve and doesn't use a great deal of technology.

Atlannia, could you link the NPC/PvP combat explainations in one of the first few posts? I think that'd make it easier to find in the future.

And speaking of NPCs, here's a stupid idea I just came up with for one.

Name: Daniel Decker

Age: 20

Year level: 2nd year/Count (3 years spent at Academy so far)

Appearance:
Pale and rather skinny with a shock of messy brown hair. Typically wears loose-fitting sweatpants and a t-shirt of some sort most of the time.


Personality: Known to most students as a loner who keeps to himself. When people do talk to him about his abilities, he always seems far too proud of it and enjoys attention (though not of his own making). Sometimes talks to himself.

Known history: A Council of Seven native with a long family history of being masters of various magical arts, specifically those concerning sound and summoning. An odd combination for sure, but Daniel's particular use of his magic is definitely something most don't see every day. His parents didn't like it, he wasn't very good at it, and he needed something to do with his life, so he enrolled in the Assassination Academy to hone his skills. After claiming a Countship during his second year at the Academy, he's well known for his air guitar and weapon miming skills.

Known abilities and fighting style:
Weapon Miming- Daniel can mime just about any small arm and actually make it deal lethal and realistic damage through unknown magical means. All he has to do is mimic holding a weapon and say something along the lines of "pew pew" and suddenly there are actual bullets flying everywhere. Miming larger weapons seem to drain more Aura. He's also an excellent air guitarist (unsurprisingly).

His main weapon is the element of surprise (just ask the person he took his Countship from). Walk up with enemy hands and make the enemy laugh, and suddenly: RATATAATATATATTATATT! He's miming an invisible minigun! Granted, he has average speed, endurance, and intelligence; and his power is extremely variable, but his special attack stat is second to none amongst those with Countships.

Just don't expect him to do any "actual" magic.

I'm not quite a fan of supernatural abilities, so I'm mostly did things and apps as normal or slightly super but not entirely superhuman character.

That's fine if his magic is ONLY going to be used for specific, pivotal moves. If you're planning for his magic to be part of his normal repertoire then it also needs to be mentioned in the fighting style section and factored into his other stats.

AA's number one most reliable upperclassman and certainly not a scammer, doublecrosser, master manipulator or any of the other nasty things you may or may not have heard him described as.

Everett likes to learn secrets about people, whetehr it be their hidden pasts, their preferences and even their hidden potential. Everett likes to agitate and influence people, pushing them towards conflict or tension. Often he's pursuing some agenda of his own and has arranged things in order to profit from the discord in some way but just as often he's simply hoping something interesting will happen. While Everett likes investigating other people he keeps his own cards close to his chest and there are more rumors then facts swirling around the history of AA's number one information broker.

Biography:Everett has the proportions of a dwarf and many assume that's what he is but he's in fact a mouse demi, a somewhat rarer breed. His mother was one of the original demis involved in demi research and he inherited the mouse ears he keeps hidden under his hat from her. Everett's Mother was eventually released from the program when the public backlash grew to strong to keep it going. Unfortunately her unusual upbriningn left its mark on Everett's mother and she struggled to integrate properly into society, the only kind of work she could reliably get was as an escort where her appearance was considered exotic. Everett was simply the bastard of one of her clients but his mother did her absolute best to raise him. Although the two never had much money they always had each other and have always been extremely close.

Despite his mother's best efforts Everett struggled to stay on the straight and narrow. He did poorly in school despite being a bright child, he got into a lot of fights, usually over his mother and was expelled from multiple schools. By the time he was twelve Everett was rarely in school at all, preferring to roam the streets with various street gangs, doing odd jobs or running messages for them, taking the extra money back to his mother. Although he was no longer in school with would be a mistake to say Everett wasn't learning, he was learning plenty. How to read people, how to lie to them or suggest something in such a way that they believed it was their own idea. He honed his fighting skills in hundreds of back alley brawls and he even managed to learn a bit of magic from a washed up instructor.

Around this period Everett's mother fell ill and the money earned from his various side jobs wasn't sufficient to pay for her treatment. Everett took out a massive loan from an "associate" of his and left for Assassination Academy, planning to become a famous assassin and earn enough to give his Mother a comfortable and healthy retirement. Everett wasn't the strongest student in his year by any means and he had no flashy techniques to rely on, but he displayed a startling ability to make friends, play people against each other and manipulate things in his favor. Within a few years Everett no longer had to take official missions to earn academy points, he simply sold information on students to their enemies and then turned around sold those enemies' information back to the original victim when they went off in search of revenge. These days Everett is usually recognized as the preeminent information broker in the the Academy, he seems to know everyone and everything going on and somehow manages to turn a profit on almost all of it. For the last two years Everett has headed up the Welcoming committee in an effort to scout out promising new students and inveigle them in his schemes.

Combat Information

Equipment: Everett doesn't rely much on fancy gadgets, but he is able to summon several magical constructs known as phantom hands. Resembling cartoonish floating hands, these constructs can be mentally controlled pretty freely and can exert the same amount of strength as Everett can with his own hands. Since Everett is a pretty competent martial artist the hands are no slouches either.

Fighting style: Everett doesn't have a massively complicated fighting style, relying on conventional martial arts for close range combat and his phantom hands magic for ranged attacks but somehow he manages to be a tricky opponent all the same. Everett is agile and tough its difficult to take him out quickly and in the meantime he is analyzing his opponent, looking for weaknesses or features in the environment he can exploit to his advantage. He can be said to be a very efficient fighter, who uses low cost techniques to their greatest possible effect.

strengths:

-Everett is cunning and his demi heritage grants him enhanced sense, very little gets by him or catches him unawares.

-Everett has improved his street fighting roots with forma martial arts training, making him tougher and more agile.

-Everett's phantom hands can attack from any angle and are quiet, making them great for catching enemies unawares

weaknesses:

- Everett doesn't have a lot of raw power and his only methods for attacking rely on either aura attacks or simple kinetic impact, so some defensive minded fighters are immune or at least resistant to most of his repertoire.

-Everett's most powerful attacks don't work through his phantom hands, meaning he has to close in with tougher enemies to finish them off.

-Everett's smaller frame often gives him a disadvantage in terms of reach and leverage which can be critical in the melee battles he prefers.

-Sleight of hand: One of Everett's phantom hands sneaks up behind an enemy and attacks them or tampers with their equipment

-hand gun: Everett fires a bolt of aura from his pointer finger. Though not a very powerful attack it is fast to use and the projectile has a high velocity, making it tricky to dodge.

-hand grenade: Everett gather aura in his palm and then punches, releasing a small but powerful aura explosion

Power: 25 Everett doesn't have a lot of flashy ways to deal damage and even his aura attacks are nothing special by academy standards.

Endurance: 40 Everett is mentally tough and knows how to mitigate the hits he doesn't dodge, his techniques are efficient and he has a fair amount of stamina. He won't go down too easily.

Agility: 40 Everett is light on his feet and has good reflexes, he can also use his phantom hands as platforms to improve his mobility further

Intelligence:
70 This is where Everett really shines, he has a good combination of instincts and intellect and can rapidly formulate novel strategies. His demi heritage gives him improved senses and he as a real knack for reading his opponents intentions and temperament.

Special Moves:
35 Everett's special moves are useful but not overwhelming, he relies on his planning to put them to greatest effect.

Yes i linked to the right version, I saw no reason to elaborate redundantly when what he does is said specifically in the Strengths section. He gets up close adn personal, closing the distance as best he can to overwhelm those who rely on close combat, while he outlasts and extends battles against those faster than him, while maintaining a close distance if he can.

Well for example, power means your overall ability to do damage, all things considered. So if your spells do lots of damage, you should factor that in power.
