Aequalitianic, but most people speak English and Dutch as second language. Bit easy to learn that two as second language, because Aequalitianic is a mix of English, Dutch and a little bit Russian sometimes.

English is used de-facto-ly, although Fulflooder, a Germanic language, and Sdamoran, an indigenous language, are also used. Most people can speak both English and Fulflooder, which are related.

Our main language is Technik. It's like a benign New Speak. It makes heavy use of portmanteaus and acronyms, has minimal grammar rules, and doubles as a rudimentary scripting language. Unlike New Speak, it doesn't remove antonyms to reduce rebellious thoughts. Instead, it makes concepts easier to quantify by removing the vagueness present in other languages.

If that sounds too totalitarian, then we have Words of Ten Thousand Ink-Stained Strands Forever Unfolding. It's exactly what it sounds like. It's a very flowery language that is almost entirely euphemism and metaphor. It's written language uses calligraphy to a great extent, while Technik is always minimalist. It was intended to be a foil to Technik within typographic circles, but has gained popularity for its extreme artistic flare.

What language(s) do people in your nation speak in their daily lives and for official business? Mostly Indonesian and Chinese, although Amenrians from different areas might use their native language more in their daily lives.

Is your nation largely monolingual? Or are people expected to know more than one language? Amenrians are expected to know both Indonesian AND Chinese

Which alphabet is used in writing? Roman alphabet usually, although simplified Chinese is sometimes used instead of pinyin

Does your nation use a constructed language or one from the real world? Real world, obviously

If it is not English: Can you translate something for the NSistoj?

Indonesian: Kucing adalah hewan peliharaan paling populer di dunia

English: Cats are the most popular pets in the world.

IN ENGLISH

In Brazil, nearly 100% of people speak Portuguese natively. In Brazilian territories (Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique, and São Tomé e Príncipe) roughly 60-70% on average speak Portuguese natively. With an increase as the language becomes increasingly important as Brazil is growing to be an economic power.

Currently, Brazil is widely monolingual, with less than 10% speaking a second language. German/Riograndenser Hunsrückisch is the most popular second language with around 3,000,000 native speakers in Brazil. Less than 4% speak English fluently. Portuguese is overwhelming in media and culture in Brazil and its likely to remain that way as Portuguese becomes increasingly important globally. The government hopes to push a tougher foreign language requirement in schools within the next few years.

We use a real language. In Brazil and it's territories the official and most spoken language is Brazilian Portuguese (Português Brasileiro)

O governo quer ensinar as línguas estrangeiras no futuro.

Nós usamos um idioma real. No Brasil e os seu territórios a linguagem oficial e a linguagem mais popular é Português Brasileiro (Brazilian Portuguese)

English, Japanese, and Russian are the the official languages of Gandoor, with English and Japanese the most commonly spoken, being understood by 97 and 91% of the population, respectively, compared to Russian which is understood by 61% of the population. You can easily survive in Gandoor without speaking any Russian, as that is predominantly spoken in Freena Yon (which is the second most populous yon, but regardless).

Uniquely, Gandoorese Russian is often regarded as being fairly different from other dialects, as there are large numbers of loanwords from English and Japanese not used in other dialects and it is often written entirely in the Latin alphabet (although the Cyrillic alphabet is what is taught in schools and legally recognized as the sole alphabet used for Russian).

Japanese and English also have more loanwords from the other official languages as well, as well as loanwords from Korean, which is the largest unofficial language and is spoken by 19% of the population.

Mandarin Zhouranese is a standard variety of Mandarin Chinese that is used as the sole official language of Zhouran. On July 22, 1533, the Ancient Zhouranese language, which dates back to 3,400 BC, was replaced by the Chinese language (which would later be called Mandarin by 1587) as the official language. From July 22, 1533 until July 22, 1933, it was officially called Guanhua (simplified: 官话; traditional: 官話), but since July 22, 1933, Mandarin Zhouranese is officially called Putonghua (simplified: 普通话; traditional: 普通話).

Like other varieties of Chinese, Mandarin Zhouranese is a tonal language with topic-prominent organization and subject–verb–object word order. It has more initial consonants but fewer vowels, final consonants and tones than varieties from Southern China. Mandarin Zhouranese is an analytic language, though with many compound words.

Since July 22, 1533, Zhouranese people began to write in their vernacular dialect in the form of Yulu (simplified: 语录; traditional: 語錄) until July 22, 1933, when it was replaced by Written Vernacular Chinese, which is officially called Baihuawen (simplified: 白话文; traditional: 白話文).

Mandarin Zhouranese uses its own variety of vocabulary and pronunciation called the Zhouranese dialect, which contains some differences from other Mandarin dialects. Even though it is similar to Standard Chinese, the Zhouranese dialect is mainly monotone. Also, the Zhouranese dialect is clearly distinguished by its relatively tonally flat sound as well as its little use of word stress and sentence stress.

As part of Mandarin Zhouranese, Traditional Chinese characters, which was officially called Zhengtizi (simplified: 正体字; traditional: 正體字), was used from July 22, 1533 until February 24, 1957. At the time it became the official writing system in Zhouran, it replaced the Ancient Zhouranese Script, which is estimated to date back to 2,300 BC. Since February 24, 1957, Zhengtizi was replaced by the Simplified Chinese characters, which is officially called the National Simplified Script

From May 17, 1893 until April 21, 1958, the official romanization system for Mandarin Zhouranese was Wade-Giles, which was officially called Wei-toma Pin-yin (simplified: 威妥玛拼音; traditional: 威妥瑪拼音). Since April 21, 1958, the official romanization system for Mandarin Zhouranese is Pinyin, which is officially called Kangyuli Pinyin (simplified: 康玉立拼音; traditional: 康玉立拼音).

So yeah, we speak German and Czech. Both use the Latin alphabet. The Leonorian Federation is very widely multilingual, more than 90% in the core states are fluent at both.
There are also regional languages, which are recognized as nation-wide spoken minority languages: Hungarian, Slovak, and Ukrainian. The ladder one is written in Cyrillic alphabet.
In some regions, you will also find Serbo-Croatian, Turkish, and Dutch.
Due to the massive immigration from Democratic Duborg, we also have many Danish and Neo-Scandinavian speakers.

Nyskandinavisk er det offisielle språk av Norden.

The HNR speaks Neo-Scandinavian. Largely based on Norwegian bokmål, it was developed in the early 1940s as a purer form of the language, with many foreign loanwords removed. Neo-Scandinavian uses the Latin alphabet, but not the letters {c q w x z}. The language is regulated by the Nordiske Språkrådet (Nordic Language Council).
