There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Don't quote me on that.)
What's your opinion, Vega? Always good to add that to your first post so we know where you stand in the argument. Do you practice veganism? If so, for what reason? Do you think everyone should practice it? Why or why not? Questions like this frame a discussion and give us something to consider, and perhaps debate.
I'm Buddhist, though my form of Buddhism doesn't practice veganism. We do believe in humane killing for food. (We don't believe in killing for nuisance, such as a spider on our wall.)

So, I take it hunting is alright. What about say, your hiking and are beset upon by a rabid coyote? Is it alright to kill it then? What about the mercy killing of wounded animals?

I'm deathly allergic to mushrooms. As in, I will literally die.
I also don't absorb most vegetables very well besides. Most all plants I eat pass through completely undigested. Fruits and algaes seem to get digested all right.

Hunting is not alright if it's not for survival. It's OK to kill a rabid coyote for selling defense if it is attacking u. Mercy killing is fine only if they r incurable.
