I'm beyond annoyed. I am actually trying to figure out what's the matter. I we hosted OOC's for different types of RP's. I played in different types of RP's. Maybe P2tM is slowly dying.

I wouldn't say that's the issue, there's loads of active RPs that get multiple posts every day. I think what seems to be the case is an overabundance of a few certain genres of RPs, so P2TM is more likely to attract RPers that are interested in those things.

With this in mind, I offer to you all that we will soon be starting a new arc in my sort-of-long running series, The Infinites (D-level superhero comedy) that any new players who are interested can join in. I will be getting up a new IC page for it shortly.

The name has already been released, and it's going to be called, "The Infinites: And Beyond!" It will stretch the concept of the Infinites beyond where our last arc took us, but with the same wit and humor you'd expect with superheroes whose only powers are animating origami, holding their breath for 20 minutes or so, and shooting calculators at people (summoned from an alternate dimension where there are nothing but calculators and calculator generators).

It is indeed possible to play as a supervillain (we have a bunch in fact, and more are always welcome). Plus your villain idea is exactly the kind of thing we do. Love it.

RP's Overarching Concept: Set during the early days of European Colonization in The Horns of Africa and the Four Sultanates of Somalia is fighting for Wealth and Power.
Genre/s: Politics, intrigue, Historical
Character or Faction Based: Both
Detailed Description: Players can play as the Sultans of the Four Kingdoms or they can play as the Europeans who are being placed as Governors. I doubt that Ethiopia will be included in this RP so, It depends on what am I thinking about it. The RP year will span from 1889 until 1918 when WW1 or the Great War ends. The Sultanates are trying their best of becoming free of European Colonzation and become independent while the British is trying to get the foothold in Somalia. Ethiopia on the other hand is Neutral as usual. Again, I may or may not included Ethiopia into the RP so it depends how much interest i get.

Need Help With: Interest. This is probably my Sixth attempt of making this kind of RP. If you are very familiar with Ethiopian or Somalian history i will link it after i have the OOC up.

If any of you are having difficulty displaying your images from Photobucket, you are not the only one. Assuming you are now in the market for a new image host, there are many that are available, but please do NOT use TinyPic. TinyPic recycles its URLs after a time, so your image of a boat, character, flag, etc. may eventually be recycled, turning the image displayed into something obscene. If that happens, you are responsible for what is posted, meaning you can get hit with the Ominous Redtext™ if the image is obscene, gore, pornographic, etc. I would personally recommend using a host such as Imgur.

Yes I agree but if thats the case that URL's change and can suddenly change into inappropriate stuff without the poster knowing and yet they get the blame for it seems a bit harsh. Just saying.

I had an image of a dragon in a lore thread for an RP series. Some time after the series had hit a low point in popularity I went to add more to the lore only to find the dragon image replaced with a poorly drawn Butt. I removed the link upon discovery of this.

Regardless, this is not a place for that discussion, or discussions in general, aside form answering appropriate questions.

As for your question SV, try not to make your rps too specific. Historic rps, work best when set around a well known conflict, WW2 or similar things, the Boxer Rebellion or the Opium wars, etc. Nation rps are a whole nother thing, as are political rps, each has a player base that are interested in them, but combining genres generally can make people wary.

Periods that are popular for historic rps:

Prohibition era or similar eras

Periods of war

Periods of expansion and colonization.

This is jsut in my experience and from what i have seen, of course, and it is not necessarily correct, but i think the gist of it is. Additionally i am more knowledgeable about character rps, sspecifically fantasy/supernatrual and superhero, than political, but i have been a part of some nation rps, most are fantasy or set in a alternate future or the like.
