Welcome to the first edition of the International Badminton Championships. This tournament will consist of 2 different tournaments, a singles and a doubles tournament. All competitions will be held in New Danican's capital city, Grand Danican. With the winners being crowned the first chamions of this tournament.

Host Info
New Danican is a nation located east of the Mississippi(please read fact books for more info). According to New Danican's calender it is 4130. The nation has always had a love for sports and badminton is no different. New Danican has a population of a couple billion scattered across several star systems(New Danican is a FT nation). The government is a US style democracy, lead by president Dan Fredrickson. The nation takes pride in keeping its environment beautiful and has had much success, while still maintaining a strong, healthy economy.

Tournament procedure
Both the singles and doubles tournaments will have the same format, a group stage, followed by a knock out stage. As there were only 8 teams the field was divided into two groups of four. The group stage will be in a round robin style, with the top 2 teams from each group advancing to the knock out stage. The knock out stage will have 2 rounds a semi-finals, and than a 1st place and a 3rd place match. The number one team from each group will play the second place team from the other. The standings will be based on wins, and than head-to-head if there is a tie.

Due to the fact that this is a badminton tournament these permissions may seem different than what you are used to so I'll just go over them real quick:
RP Set: This means that, if enabled, your opponent can describe how the set went score wise, for example they can say they jumped out to an early set lead but you pulled off a late set comeback.
Godmod set: Similar to godmoding scoring events in soccer tournaments, this allows your opponent to cause the set to happen in an unrealistic or unlikely way
Godmod Other Events: Allows for your opponent to determine other events not related to the match.

West Phoenician Badminton Squad.

Name: Toan Le

Awards:
• Gold at U.S Summer Games
• Gold at West Phoenicia Confederate Games

Basic information:

Toan Le begun his Badminton career on the youth circuit in West Phoenicia, building up his portfolio. His first international tournament was the Aeropag Summer Olympic Games which ended at the top 64. He than went onto the U.S Summer games where he pulled off a gold win. And will be retuning to the XII Olympiad after the International Badminton Competition.

• Silver in Badminton-Mixed Pairs at U.S Summer Games
• Gold at the West Phoenicia Confederate Games.

Basic Information:

Husband and wife mixed team. They launched their career at the Aeropag Summer Olympic with no medal success. They then went onto the U.S Summer Games where they pulled off a silver win. Since than they have pulled off a gold medal at the West Phoenician Confederate Games and will be returning to the XII Olympiad games.
