Brexit's going to happen. Do you want a government that uses the coming crisis to transfer more power and wealth to the ruling elite, or one who take the power and wealth that the ruling elite already has to soften the effects of that crisis on the broad mass of power?

that's the thing though, isn't it? davis would soften the effects of certain things in ways that labour would not. so it goes back to being a toss up between what i'd rather get fucked on.

ask moderation about reading serious moderation candidates TGs without telling them about it until afterwards and/or apparently refusing to confirm/deny the exact timeline of TG reading ~~~ i hope you never sent any of the recent mods or the ones that got really close anything personal!

signature edit: confirmation has been received. they will explicitly do it before and without asking. they can look at TGs basically whenever they want so please keep this in mind when nominating people for moderator or TGing good posters/anyone!

Bear baiting on the other hand is mostly carried on in this country by scum.

It's no secret that I think the officer class should crush the scum class.

However there is a broader problem than that if the officer class can't use violence in any circumstances. Even scum depend upon the officers to protect the country's borders.

one of the main effects of brexit is that all the horrible shit labour and the conservatives wanted to do re: mass surveillance will no longer be held back by the EU. davis would reign that in by actually opposing it more than "not at all" and "a few nice words here and there but vote for it anyway".

Channel 4 have reported on the latest abuse of election rules by the Conservative party. It reveals the inner working of a call centre commissioned by the Conservative party, targeting voters in key marginals.

The BBC apparently think this is Welsh local news even though the call centre was targetting seats throughout the UK.

Tories have finally signed a confidence and supply deal with the DUP promising an extra £1billion of UK taxpayers money to Northern Ireland so while the rest of the UK suffers severe austerity, they also have to pay for Northern Ireland not to have austerity.

This is a pathetic bung to keep the Tories in power after a disaster of an election in which they said constantly there is no magic money tree and yet somewhere they've found an extra billion quid lying around. Disgusting. Shocking.

I can't wait to hear May explain this to the nurse she met on the campaign trail who asked May why nurses pay hadn't risen in 8 years to hear the 'no magic money tree' nonsense. If you took the money the Tories are giving to NI and instead gave it to nurses they'd have £1,500 extra a year.

This deal means that every DUP MP is now worth £100mil (more expensive than Pogba). An absolutely shocking negotiation with May just giving up and putting up no fight. Wonder how those Brexit negations are going to go.

I heard they signed the deal by dotting the i's and crossing out the LGBT's...

This is the state of modern British politics. We're screwed. I'm absolutely fuming.

Hmm, topic, is this still relevant, with the election being over and the government being formed?
