Appearance/Descrption of Operator:
1st Battalion Commando
Biography of Outfit: Established originally as a long range reconnaissance battalion during the first Unification War, the 29th's rise to prominence began shortly after the Kurang offensive. Alone and ahead of the main force the 29th completed their mandate and then some. On top of completing hundreds of successful night raids behind enemy lines, it wasn't uncommon for the small recon sections to attempt taking entire camps by themselves. They are often credited for the success of the offensive as their actions behind rebel lines, severely weakening the enemy before the main force, and shaking the enemy moral.
Due to the unit's unprecedented success in the field, they were expanded in size and tasked with operating behind enemy lines. They've seen action in every major conflict in Vacifian history, and as time passed on it became clear that there would be a need for these special soldiers. Highly regarded, the 29th was then tasked with training future special operations groups. While some of their men, missions, and funding were handed off to other newer units, they were far from obsolete.
Armed with the best equipment the military can afford, they undertake the most difficult of missions that the military can throw at them. Naturally wanting the best for the job, the 29th recruits from all branches of the military.
The 29th consist of 5 battalions, broken up into 5 companies each, which are then broken up into 5 platoons, which are divided into 4 Detachments.
(Bde.-Btn.-Co.-Plt.-Det.)
(4000-800-160-32-8)
Operators of the Outfit:
Captain - Soe Min Koh: Born in the northern 'warrior' province of Kasmara, SMK hails from a lineage of warriors. His ancestry can be dated to that of the ancient warring kingdoms of Vacif's ancestors. Pridefully taking accepting his family history, he like those before him enlisted in the army. Working almost from the ground up (Entering with the rank of E-3) he worked his way up to his current rank of Captain. As a person, SMK is a very social person, not fearing challenges or embarrassment. SMK is described as a 5'11, 177 lbs, with a lean and tanned body. Short cut black hair, with hard brown eyes. Blood type: O-NEG.
1st Lieutenant - Bo Mg Zeya: From the central province of Vanois, Zeya hails from the middle class of the Capitol's population. Zeya is described as nothing if not an achiever. Not wanting a normal life, he strove for excellence, both in school and in life. His energetic and friendly personality combined with steel determination made schooling and BCT a breeze. Mentally and physically prepared for the military, he lives up to his name. 'Bo' personifying significant military achievement in Vacifian, and sounding like the French word for beauty. 'Beau'. Bo isn't unattractive by any means. 6'0, 180 lbs, lean tanned skin, short brown hair. Blood type: A-POS.
2nd Lieutenant - Win Zin Arkar: "Winston" born and raised in the Eastern mountains is credited as the team hermit/tech expert. Seeking knowledge, he interpreted the recruiter's words of 'seeing the world' a bit differently than intended. By the time he realized what 'seeing the world' really meant, he was too far in to back out, and went with what was natural. Incidentally he found himself very good at whatever the military tasked him with, especially with tracking and technology. His proficiency in alpine warfare and tracking quickly attracted the attention of Special Warfare, and soon he found himself trudging through the mountainous warfare facility of SWD. A more humble and quiet soul, he is 5'7, 140 lbs, with a lean olive skinned body. Blood type: O-NEG.
1st Sergeant - Zeyar Pyae Bo Yaza: The only marine of the group, Yaza was born in another part of Kasmara. Zeyar too was born in the Spartan-esque Kasmaran culture. As a child, he was in the Army Cadet program, teaching leadership, responsibility, discipline, and survival. He continued this through to his graduation where he enlisted at the age of 17 (When most Vacifians finish secondary education). Unlike his predecessor, he is much less warm. Much more rough, he embodies his role as a 'Sarge' type character. Zeyar too has earned his middle name 'Bo'. 5'10, muscular, dark tan skin, with a shaved head. Blood Type: B-NEG.
Staff Sergeant - Yuzana Aeindra (F): A Southern, Yuzana is a curious one. Her lineage seems to be from all over Vacif. Not quite like the rest of her class, she found herself socially ostracized from her classmates despite the best efforts of parents and faculty. She found her escape in literature and writing, and when it came out, the internet. Not hardened by her social outcasting, she sought to help others. She studied hard to become a doctor, when one night she talked with a combat medic who'd come to change her life. Convincing her that to save lives, some had to be taken, she joined the army as arguably one of the most dangerous of occupations.
Distinguishing herself time and time again by selflessly rushing through intense firefights to save others, she was scouted to join the 1st Special Warfare. After becoming a walking hospital, she was ready to support the 29th Spec. Ops. An olive skinned, 5'4, 137 lbs woman, Yuzana has her black hair tied into a bun. Blood Type: A-NEG
Sergeant - Naing Xinye: From the Eastern province of Xuan, Naing is from the swampy low lands to the south of Araka. From small beginnings, he enlisted in the infantry, and led an uneventful career. Fortunately for him (or unfortunately to some), while participating in OPERATION: SILVER CITADEL, he was unknowingly left behind by his unit and forgotten about by his superiors. For several days he stayed cemented to his position, holding it from hostile insurgents while deep within rebel held territory. He only moved when phase two of the operation commenced in which a second attack force would seize the city.
Impressed by his will and skill and totally not for forgetting him behind enemy lines, his unit commander put in a recommendation for his transfer to Special Warfare. After quietly rolling through SWD's intensive selection process, he was slapped onto the reformed 1st Detachment as their LMG support. Not particularly anti-social, Xinye usually doesn't initiate the conversation. A 5'8 male, weighing in at 166 lbs, he has a strong, muscular build. Lightly tanned skin, with a closely shaven head. Blood type: O-POS.
Sergeant - Fang Shun: Blood type: 1st Detachment's demolitions expert is high energy to say the least. From the industrialized Shaw province, it is a wonder that Fang is able to hear at all, let alone at the levels that would qualify him for military service. A mischievous prankster, from a young age, he'd toyed with explosives. After school, he worked civilian demolition jobs, bringing down decaying buildings with organized chaos as he called it. His enlistment began after helping the military blow up a bridge used to supply the local rebel cell with supplies. The unit commander, commenting on his proficiency with explosives unknowingly convinced the young Fang to join the army in order to blow things up.
After breezing through basic, he found himself at the forefront of most explosives. Perhaps not blowing as many of his own charges as he'd of liked, he'd detonated plenty of ordnance in his service. Outside of stunning proficiency with explosives, what made the SWD consider him was his unorthodox thinking. Each occasion imposing immense self risk. His most notable actions included staying behind to detonate a bridge with hostiles on it, bringing down a mountain onto a secessionist base, and bringing down buildings onto enemy tanks/helos. Blood type: O-NEG.
Sergeant - Nanda Ei (F): The sole child of a civil engineer, Nanda was raised alone by her father. A troublesome kid, she always got into fights with her classmates. The late Markus Ei taught Nanda to be independent and that she was only human. He taught her to fight, to shoot straight, and to pick her fights. The rather close bond between the two was ruined one day when her father never returned from work. Forced to live with an aunt she'd never known, she grew distant from her remaining family. With a fondness for fighting and guns, Nanda quickly enlisted with the Ground Forces. Trained at the Nadana Military Preserve, Nanda proved to be incredibly proficient at her trade craft. Being told that she was inept made her strive to prove others wrong. At a modest 5'5,135 lbs, Nanda is quite good at her job. Blood type: A-NEG.

Biography of Unit: The Royal Regiment of Commandos combines the history of two other Royal Army units: The Royal Dragoon Commando (f. 1825) & the 3rd Royal Regiment of Reconaissance (f. 1936)
The Royal Dragoon Commando is often considered the antecedated Special Force unit of the Royal Army, although it's role was less that of a modern Tier-1 unit. Instead, the Commandos were mostly tasked with quickly transmitting crucial messages between King Horatio's Armies. High-profile reconaissance missions didn't belong in their work field, this was more a job for larger Light Cavalry units. The 19th Century Commando was less special force and more elite messengers, so much in fact, that the ones who were considered for a position in this relatively small unit (25-50 Men at most) were the Royal Army's best horsemen, not necessarily its best overall soldiers.
The Royal Dragoon Commando stayed a part of the Army for almost a century until it was decided to ditch all mounted forces in the aftermath of WW1. The Commando thus came into a double crisis: Not only had the question 'What is the Commandos role now that we have telegraphs?' been around for some time, no, their very existence was now practically threatened by the Royal Army's leadership. Despite protests by numerous soldiers and a 'Save The Commando'-Campaign, the Royal Dragoon Commando was eventually disbanded in Summer 1921.
A few decades later, in 1936, the Royal Army decided to go with the international trends and start a 'Special Forces Program', creating multiple new airborne (The 1st to 4th Royal Parachute Regiment) and reconaissance (The 1st to 3rd Royal Reconaissance Regiment) regiments. These units usually operated as regiments seperate from the normal military hierarchy in attempts to capture high-yield targets and provide excellent reconaissance. All of these units, despite being chosen from the from the most excellent soldiers in the Royal Army, were by international comparison only Tier II units, mostly due to their large size. The decision was reached in 1942 to convert the 3rd Royal Reconaissance Regiment (which had been a paper formation ever since a failed operation a year before) into a small, more select unit of about the size of a large company. The name 'Royal Regiment of Commandos' was eventually chosen due to an Army-internal bribe, with multiple former Commando Officers aquiring a couple of fine panatellas for the person in charge of naming these things.
The modern RR-COM is a complex task force, now having multiple 'Commandos' with various specialities, among those are Combat Diving, Undercover operations, Gorilla Warfare, VIP protection and sapping. The Vedette (Just a fance Isle'ish term for 'Detachement' has operators from various of those commandos to provide a wide skill base to TFA.
Operators of the Unit:
[i]Note: The ranks of all operators are 'Commando ranks', as indicated by the (com.) behind the rank. This is a special rank given out within the RR-COMs hierarchy and doesn't reflect actual experience or seniority.
Lieutenant (com.) James Thayes. Thayes is, by all means, a bit crazy, even by the standards of the Royal Army's Officer Corps. This doesn't mean that he's necessarily a bad commander, in fact, what got him in his current position were many attesting towards his natural cunning. Or maybe it was the fact that he confused his superiors to much... [Formerly an operator in the Royal Commando Sappers]
Sergeant (com.) Solomon Baker. He isn't quite the person you would except for the role of a sergeant, at least when it comes to the surface. A handsome young men in his mid-30s, well-mannered, speaking almost in the tongue of the Isle'ish pseudo-aristocracy. That is until you learn that Baker is actually from this aristocracy and that is also an officer, one that got in the uncomfortable situation of having to fill an NCOs billet. Compared to his superior Thayes, he may be less intelligent, but also has more resolve and is a natural authority, making him the perfect executor for the Lieutenants ideas. [Formerly a Royal Commando Sniper]
Corporal (com.) Arthur Marion. The Squads handyman, well officially only paramedic and the Lieutenants batman (Batman being a fancy Isle'ish word for a mixture between an accountant and a valet). A quiet nice, if a bit naive young man. [Formerly an operator in the Royal Commando Search & Rescue]
Private (com.) Lenard Hernandez. A big, bulky soldier, with an excellent command of his weapons, but a slight speech disorder, which isn't considered to problematic though by the Royal Army doctors (A yay for quality control) [Formerly a Royal Commando Sniper, now Designated Marksman]
Private (com.) William Fenton. A childhood friend of Thayes, albeit a commoner. Indefinitly loyal to his Lieutenant, maybe a bit to much so. [Formerly a Royal Commando Combat Diver, now Designated Carabinier]
Private (com.) Ashley Harlech. A constantly wise-cracking, old hag of a soldier (According to records she's in her early 40s, although there are rumours about her age that spread that some 20 years in both directions). The sort of soldier that calls younger people 'kid'. [Formerly a Royal Commando Gorilla warfare operator, now Designated Gunner]

Biography of Unit: SSR Factbook, History
Operators of the Unit:
► Detachment Organization► Antonia Dirksen, "Mama"
► Rank: Major
► Cempaka bin Juwita, "Chatterbox"
► Role: Detachment Lead
► Description: A long-time veteran of the unit who began her career in the 2nd Special Service Regiment as an Engineering Commando, Antonia is seemingly the ultimate outdoorsman. She has little tact or pomp despite what some would expect from her rank and the 'fruit salad' of medals on her dress uniform, she can dip tobacco and chug a beer by a bonfire with the best self-proclaimed 'country folk', and she knows general bushcraft as well as the back of her own hand. She's brash, outspoken, and she always expects the very best from those around her with little tact in regards to demanding it from them.► Rank: Technical Officer, Third Class
► Role: Detachment Second
► Description: A qualified Commando who proved himself as his Detachment's Intelligence Sergeant, Cempaka is a long-time veteran of the Regiment who began his military career in Signal Intelligence, before transitioning to Human Intelligence, and from there almost immediately he volunteered for the RASP. He's one of the youngest TO-3s in the unit but he proves that age and experience are not always intertwined as intensely as some would believe: he proved himself time and again on multiple operations to the point that he was soon tapped to become training cadre as a member of the Warfare Development Group.► Huub Evers, "Mason"
► Rank: Technical Officer, First Class
► Marjolijn De Snaaijer, "Pastor"
► Role: Intelligence Commando
► Description: Huub Evers is known as "Mason" by his peers - short for a stone mason. He is a man of few words and seemingly fewer outwardly expressed emotions. He prefers to act when he must show anybody how it is that he feels about something. He's also extremely talented and has proven himself over several years of service in the military with a career that began in ELINT before transferring to SIGINT prior to taking the RASP. Those Recruits who had to take his courses remarked that while the man seldom said much of anything he always seemed to strive to improve and encourage those around him in his own way.► Rank: Sergeant
► Nes Wolters, "Poet"
► Role: Weapons Commando
► Description: When you take the daughter of a country fire-and-brimstone preacher and give her a rifle, you get Marjolijn. She's quiet and reserved, almost shy if you didn't know better, and loves sitting out in the sun on a hiking trail more than sitting inside with the A/C on. By the time she was twelve she could nail a varmint at 300 meters with her rifle and she's always training to improve and sustain herself. A sense of nearly unerring discipline and an expertise in a wide variety of weaponry helped make her a promising candidate for training cadre in the WDG after several years of service.► Rank: Sergeant
► Geert Roosa, "Gecko"
► Role: Medical Commando
► Description: Nex Wolters didn't imagine that she would make a career of the Army when she first enlisted. But she had married young thinking that her high school sweetheart was the last person on earth who could ever cheat on her or betray her. But two years into that marriage she was proven wrong a divorce was filed. In place of that the shy young woman found she had very few options besides her career in the military. So she dedicated herself to that with new fervor and energy, with enough that her command recommended her for the RASP. And that motivation and focus followed her through into the Regiments and into her evaluation to join the WDG.► Rank: Sergeant
► Nana anak Aiman, "Caracal"
► Role: Communications Commando
► Description: A mountaineer, outdoorsman, and the son of HAM radio enthusiasts. Geert Roosa was born with a love for the outdoors, and a fascination with taking various things around the house apart to see how they work - and putting them back with dubious siccess.
He is one of those rare cases of a Commando who got the billet he requested in RASP. Of course having been a JTAC operator for three years and a radio operator a year before that probably didn't hurt. He speaks seven languages overall and is versed in a wide variety of means of long distance to include morse code and international signals by Aldis lamp - though his insistence that he learned that last one as a hobby has done nothing to save his peers from dubbing him a nerd.► Rank: Sergeant First Class
► Role: Engineering Commando
► Description: Once a near prodigy in since high school in the world of engineering and design, apparently one day in the middle of her sophmore year at college Nana got a wild tick to report in for her mandatory service earlier than she'd originally planned much to her parents' protest. She took to it well. Better than she or anyone else expected, in fact, and she realized she could make a career out of it. Athletic and academic talent carried over well and saw her overcoming the challenges of the RASP before joining the 1st Special Service Regiment as an Engineering Commando. Rising accomplishments and skill meant it was only a matter of time before she was tapped for the WDG.► Jantine Alles, "Bengal"
► Rank: Sergeant First Class
► Lennart Van Altena, "Ovophis"
► Role: Intelligence Commando
► Description: Every Mobutian Freeman is required to report for evaluation and military service between a set age group. Most Freemen wait until they are into their twenties and have already attended college or pursued a technical qualification. Jantine is an oddity in that she had scarcely graduated from high school before she'd reported in to the nearest Army recruiting station. She was a military brat who seemingly knew from youth that it was where she wanted to be. Over her career she has volunteered for every course and school her commanding officers would agree to sign off on the paperwork for - to include the RASP years ago, driven to always try and succeed.► Rank: Staff Sergeant
► Alex Aaldenberg, "Cub"
► Role: Weapons Commando
► Description: A silver-spoon-fed city-boy, Lennart could have gone his whole life only doing his four required years and then never worked another day in his life as he lived off his parents' investments and businesses. Instead a former friend once insulted him in an argument claiming that he always sold himself short out of compulsive laziness. He threw himself at the hardest thing he could find after infantry training: the infamous RASP. And he pushed himself harder after that when he heard that there was something within the Regiments that rated even higher. With his clear and powerful drive it was only a matter of time before he was selected to join the WDG.► Rank: Sergeant First Class
► Chantal Van Hout, "Diva"
► Role: Medical Commando
► Description: Here again a Commando proves that one doesn't need to be old to bring experience to the table - or be salty as hell in spite of that youthful appearance. Sergeant First Class Alex Aaldenberg is a veteran of multiple combat operations and has managed to keep up with his fellow commandos in spite of the prosthetic leg his service has gotten him. He's also been married twice but doesn't have the ring from either of them as he threw both into the river when he got the papers for divorce during mail-call overseas. Those who have had him as one of their cadre have said he never seems satisfied but it only gets worse if he suspects you are selling yourself short on your abilities.► Rank: Staff Sergeant
► Reinoud Spiker, "Grizzly"
► Role: Communications Commando
► Description: Chantal Van Houts parents were a female runway model and a male fashion designer. They wanted their daughter to pursue one of these careers.
Chantal was a firebrand who didn't care about those sorts of things no matter how much her parents tried to convince her. She dropped out of cosmotology school after only a year when she grew sick of it and headed for the Army. Of course her parents blustered and fumed and cut her out of the will, but she feels that she's come out on the gain in the end. Of course like all the cadre in the WDG she has had her share of heartbreak when her fiance left her for a "more tame" woman. But it doesn't dampen a sunny disposition.► Rank: Technical Officer, First Class
► Role: Engineering Commando
► Description: Reinoud was not a man who had any need to use the Army to further his career choices how so many people often use it. By the time he reported for his required period of service he had already earned a degree in chemical engineering. Service in the Army came as equal parts patriotism and wanting to challenge himself. He wanted to put what he knew to good use and found one of the best ways to do that was in the Army Engineer Corps. Though that quickly proved not to be enough for him and he volunteered for the RASP, passing it, and moving on to a years-long illustrious career in the Regiments before transitioning to training command with the WDG.

Biography of Unit: Forged in civil strife. Tempered in war. That's what you could say about the Ceremalian Imperial Special Corps that were formed out of the dysfunctional Ceremalian Special Forces and the Ceremalian Intelligence Special Units, two organizations that went at each other's throats often and that didn't do their job because of it. The anti government insurrections of the 80s and 90s revealed the need for a competent special operations unit, and so the Special Corps were put together and experienced their first action in the late 90s. Officially, they were supposed to be the soldiers who represented the Ceremalian ideals of unity and order in their truest form, coming together from all over the massive country and working for a common goal.
But in practice, ruthlessness became their theme more than unity. When there was rebellion, they were there to act behind the scenes in a completely cold way to put it down, regardless of what they thought about the attempts at reform. Even when those rebels were just asking for democracy rather than an oligarchical parliament that was below an unelected Emperor, or for representation in the government. They shut down numerous attempts at reform in the late 90s, and would get somewhat of a break in the mid 2000s, where the new generation would step in.
However, the wars of the late 2000s and 2010s would wear down on everyone with the units. Particularly, the wars in the Southwest. Kortalia had long been on the opposing side of Cemeralia, and that country found itself invaded in 2007 because of border conflicts that saw their businesses stealing resources from the resource rich Southwest Cemeralia region. They would fall in 2010, but only through the black operations behind enemy lines that saw the deadlock in the trenches broken in favor of the Empire after heavy losses on both sides. Again, the operators of the Special Corps wouldn't know if the war was right, but they would do their job, wreaking havoc behind enemy lines and going after both supply lines and politicians, as well as initiating a nationwide power blackout that saw the death knells of Kortalia as an independent country.
And after that, there was the more recent invasion of Airpine, which happened in 2015 when Kortalia's southwestern neighbor was found to have extensive links to the pro democratic movement in Ceremalia. They would pay for their support for the Empire's enemies in blood, with the Airpine-Ceremalia war being the bloodiest one in both nations' modern histories... Except this time, almost all of the blood was from the enemy side, when again, the special forces would act behind enemy lines to support the military and would set up their own campaign that would have been considered terrorism if it wasn't conducted by a government. And once again, another free country had fallen to the blood stained blue flag of the Empire of Ceremalia, and once again, the soldiers of the Special Corps and of Section One were left wondering if they had made the right choices in going through with what they'd been ordered, especially with many of them having ancestry from Airpine and Kortalia...
Operators of the Unit:GROUP ONE
- Lieutenant Derek 'Iceman' Kemry: One of the operators that remembers the older times and the last generation of the group, and who remembers the times when the Special Corps was still used for anti insurgency and for hunting down rebels. Somewhat of a hardened leader because of those experiences. If he was going to have moral problems over what he was doing, he would have done so already. Still, he's the type of soldier that's a father figure to his unit. Not one that reacts well to losing men at all, even after a number of years in the Corps.
- Ensign Dominic 'Hotshot' Bluejoy: In an increasingly diverse Corps, Dominic is one of the pure nationalistic Ceremalians that's there, and also an expert marksman that was formerly in the same role in the Ceremalian Army. Unlike some of the others, he has front line experience in the trenches of Kortalia, giving him a little bit of a different perspective than the others that are used to going behind enemy lines and operating in stealth.
- Master Sergeant Lillian 'No Love Lill' Krczawa: One of the first Kortalians to join the Special Corps, and formerly an anti Ceremalian rebel fighter that was recruited to the other side when the war was over. Hot headed but cold hearted, she's usually the group's sniper, though her experience as a guerilla has given her a good all around skillset that has also seen her fill in at marksman when not in the same fireteam as Dominic. Controversially promoted to Master Sergeant after the Airpine War.
- Corporal Everett 'Geek' Russo: One of the newer and younger members that typically handles communications and radio operation, and acts as a rifleman. Despite being the radio guy, he's not useless by any means in combat. Experienced with all kinds of different rifles, and a veteran of the Ceremalian Army and the Airpine War.
- Corporal Jeanine 'No Name' Forte: The newer support member of Group One, Jeanine was recruited from guerilla forces in Airpine and has a high level of experience with her chosen role, in high pressure situations, despite being a pretty young member of the group at twenty three years old. Somewhat unconventional, definitely more street smart than traditionally educated, but able to hold her own among the older and more trained members of the squad with impressive physical strength.
- Private Dan 'Viking' Cerasa: The only navy transfer from the group, Dan is a bit old for a private but went down in rank because of moving from a special naval unit to the Special Corps, where he plays the rifleman role and brings a good level of strategic knowledge too from a naval perspective and from a conventional warfare perspective. Also the group's designated diver, should they need someone able to do that, and the group translator, as someone who speaks all of the local languages.

I think you'll naturally improve over time. At that point, you'll be able to see things yourself that can be improved.
I believe your biggest issue currently is your lack of your nation's "character," and that's not something that can be improved, it can only be built up over time. I had to do the same thing, so don't worry.
