Julius Rowan

Appearance (If the image is too large or it's a description: Tall, with messy brown hair, and wears a long brown trench coat. He also usually wears a futuristic looking visor over his eyes.

Bio:
For as long as he could remember, Julius had an obsessive interest in pokemon. This was mostly due to his Grandfather's research. During the first years he was under the professors care, they were working on the Poketech2’s Pokedex function, which was to be more comprehensive and informative than it’s previous incarnations. This required some pokemon to be brought on to the lab for study. After the researchers went home for the night, Julius would emulate their studying methods. He snuck into the places the pokemon were kept, and took notes and sketches. Of course, they where ametuer at best, and a large portion of his ‘studying’ was playing with the pokemon in question, but they were coherent and comprehensive, often making note of the particular way the pokemon played.
This went on for a while, until he went into a certain pen one night. It belonged to an angry Nidoking, who nearly impaled him on its toxic horns. Luckily, his Grandfather managed to save him at the last minute. After inspecting the pen, he found Julius’s half finished notes. Curious, he snooped around, and found the stash of notes Julius had made during production of the new pokedex. Impressed by his passion, he invited him to the main lab. He wasn’t very helpful, but he was attentive. As years went by, he eventually became a valuable asset to the research team, even going on many of their field expeditions. Despite this, he had no pokemon of his own.
Rowan’s team were exploring some newly uncovered ruins when they found a strange egg on an Altar. After being brought to the main lab, it was decided by Professor Rowan himself that the egg would be placed under the care of Julius. After a long week of waiting, it hatched! The pokemon that came out was a small Lookajou, nicknamed Flitzy because of her energetic nature. Julius and Flirty became inseparable, as well as a decent battling team.
Rowan was going to Maderia in order to research the local pokemon, when he caught wind of the newly formed league. After telling Julius about it, his eyes lit up with excitement. It was decided that he would land with Rowan, but afterward depart on his own adventure. After packing, he stepped onto the boat, excited for the future.
Personality: He is a very scientifically minded person, and typically reserved and quiet in most situations. He isn’t particularly interested in people, typically preferring to be in smaller groups. He has relatively few interests, but he in extremely passionate about the ones he does have, possessing nearly encyclopedic knowledge.

Despite their stark differences in personality, they became fast friends. When it was decided Julius would be going to Maderia, it wasn’t even a question that she would be going with him.

Cora Sharpe

Bio: Cora grew up in Celadon City, a city of dazzling riches and crushing poverty. Cora was born on the wrong side of that equation and struggled to make friends because of it, whatever spare money the family had Cora's Father tended to gamble away so there was nothing left for decent clothes or whatever the newest trend was. But what Cora wanted more than any of that was a pokemon, a partner who would have her back. As she grew up Cora started spending more time on the streets and hanging out with the wrong crowd, eventually even falling in with team rocket. It was an easy way to make money and the life of a criminal was glamorous and exciting. Most importantly though Team Rocket gave Cora pokemon, a zubat and rattata problem stolen from some poor rookie trainer, but to Cora they were plenty and if she left they'd just end up in the hands of somebody far worse than her so she stuck with team rocket despite disagreeing with what they were doing.

Not long after Cora became an official member of Team Rocket she was sent along with some other grunts to secure a cave system. The rare pokemon Impish, thought only to live in the Maderia region, had recently been discovered there and Rocket wanted to monopolize the supply and sell them on the black market. The grunts were sent into the caves to battle and round up the wild pokemon, dragging them out of their habitats and sedating them for transport. Something in Cora snapped and she realized she couldn't allow this to happen. She turned on her fellow grunts, released the Impishes and distracted team rocket while the pokemon escaped deeper into the the caves and even managed to trigger a collapse of the tunnel to prevent them being followed.

Now an enemy of Team Rocket, Cora decided it would be best to start fresh somewhere far away and the newly opened Maderia league seemed a good place to do it. Cora's last act before boarding a ship for Maderia was to release her team rocket pokemon, hoping they could find their original trainer. Of course she didn't realise that one of the Impish she'd helped had snuck onto the ship...
Personality: Cool and maybe a little cold, Cora prefers to do her own thing and not be the center of attention. Cora prefers to keep up a calm demeanor no matter the situation, preferring to appear aloof and relaxed. She prefers pokemon to people and is a bit of a loner, she has trouble trusting others and letting down her walls, she hates getting caught by other people doing anything uncool like baby talking to her pokemon. Despite that Cora is fairly mature for a rookie trainer, she has a strong sense of right and wrong but doesn't sweat the small stuff.

Anglion Fakemon don't really live in Maderia anyways, the climate is too different (well, maybe except for Larbite, Midbite and Mosquibite).
