Ananka Carter

Bio: Ananka is a native of the Johto Region. Her father, Dr George Carter, is a famous archaeologist who has spent his life stuffing the Alph Ruins near Violet City and hailed from Ecruteak City. Ananka's mother, meanwhile, hailed from Saffron City and is a renown psychic who worked in the Saffron City Gym with Sabrina. Ananka inherited her mother's psychic abilities as well as her father's love of archaeology and history. From a young age she demonstrated her psychic bond with Pokemon to the point of limited communication in the form of empathy. However, because of her interests in Pokemon and studying Ananka was often left friendless, as the other children considered her odd. When she was ten years old, her parents gave Ananka her first Pokemon, the Abra which she named Heka. As a psychic type, Heka was able to communicate with Ananka as if they were speaking, and became her life-long friend. Ananka spent the next few years continuing her studies with her parents and under Sabrina until at the age of 15 decided to embark to the Maderia Region for a chance to become its champion
Personality: Ananka is a quiet girl who is often uncomfortable around people. She is a studious girl, who prefers reasons and strategy rather than rushing into unknown situations. Her psychic abilities make her a bit of an outsider, and combined with her anti-social personality means she prefers the company of Pokemon to those of people. She is a cynic, and often looks at life pessimistically as a result, and can be views as grim. She has a slight sadistic side to her, however, and she likes using her powers to pull pranks on the unsuspecting.

When he morphs into a human, he looks like a thin, 5 foot tall teenager with brown hair. When in human form, he retains his fangs and red eyes, and hides his eyes with sunglasses.
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Inventory:: A rusty bicycle, an older model pokedex, blue-tinted aviator sunglasses, and a backpack with books, a bible, an everstone, snacks, and a Walkman with cassettes.

Personality: Friendly and cheerful most of the time, but a bit awkward sometimes around other pokemon and people. Unlike most Zorua, he's not very mischievous, but he will occasionally play a trick or two. He's a bit too curious for his own good sometimes, and this has led to him almost being caught on a few occasions.
Brief Bio: Duncan (or just "Zorua") used to live in an abandoned manor in the Anglion region. Over the years, he used the old books, records, and movies in the house them to teach himself to speak and read. A long time ago he left the manor to see the world. He usually takes the form of a human his age, and has thus far been able to live a convincing life as a human. Unfortunately, some government agencies seem to have caught on to his charade, and he has to be constantly on the move to avoid being captured and studied.
About a year ago he made his way to the Corbi region, and using fake identification was able to get a job and an apartment near the port where the ship is to come in. After the authorities discovered he was only 15 (at least that's all they discovered) he lost the job and apartment and went on the run to avoid getting put in an orphanage or revealed to be a pokemon. Ironically, he ended up living for some time with two Pokémon hunters before deciding to leave the region for Maderia, where he hoped to live in peace without the danger of being caught.
However, the recent "Pokémon craze" and the establishment of a league have made things more dangerous for him again. He currently lives in swampy Fantano Town in a rented apartment, but doesn't have much money left to pay for it. He wants to reveal to the world that he's really a Pokémon, but is afraid he'd be treated like an animal. He has decided to find a group of trainers to travel with in the league, and to eventually tell them the truth about what he is.
Likes: Books, movies, music, adventure, hot chocolate, nice people/pokemon.
Dislikes: Violence, death, mean people/pokemon. Does not want to evolve.
