Collaboration leads to more desirable results than every nation working in their own interest. Look at the EU, for example, the biggest market on earth in terms of consumers, reaching that point through collaborative effort instead of Germany and the UK taking everything for themselves.

School of the Americas was fine. Freedom at home and Jackboot abroad seems a good way of doing things. It saved us from losing South America during the Cold War.

The EU combined has about 100.000 more active soldiers than the US at the moment. Plus a bigger, healthier population for more manpower, while not being nearly as overstretched as the US militarily.

Because of this, however, they're capable of using their own economic, political, and social systems completely separate from China (Which China has been cracking down on recently, the pop. of Hong Kong is not happy about this, btw), because of this, both the economic and social laws are freer than the US, they rank higher than the US, and are able to hold rank with the top 10/15 freest nations (The US is currently #19).

If those freedom indexes are so shit because the highest rankers don't allow hate speech or almost free capitalism, then explain how a place like Hong Kong can have similar rankings to places like Canada, Germany, Norway, etc...
