At first, it might seem that Grievous's defense against Lightspeed was odd. However, the reason for this was that Grievous's reflexes are confirmed to be at sonic speeds, meaning that Grievous was able to ward him off for a while. However, it only took a matter of time until Lightspeed managed to catch him off guard. Grievous could never beat him in a fight, he's simply too powerful for the cyborg. His defense proved to be useful but his offense was essentially nothing to the giant quail.
