CITY AIRPORT
Gateway to the capital and beyond
City Airport is the minor and reliever airport of the 2 airports serving Argentinstan City. It is equipped with immigration and customs facilities but they are in operation during the hours of 8am until 8pm. It is connected to the larger and primary Argentinstan City International Airport via a monorail system built by Taitung Pinyin in addition to being served by two metro stations with three metro lines, including an Airport Express to Downtown Argentinstan City.
It is approximately 5.5 miles from the Argentinstan City center and connected to the city center via road, bus, and train. By road, the main artery to the airport is the City Airport Boulevard which is a continuation of Civic Avenue. The Argentinstan City Metro system has two lines serving the airport, the Pink Line from the north and the Blue Line from the south. In addition, the Airport Express service from Downtown also serves the airport.
City Airport is the only airport in Argentinstan to be slot controlled. The airport adopted its slot control system in late 2009 after federal regulations went in effect, citing security measures, noise problems, and proximity to high-rises and low visibility during night times. The first arrival flight is at 6:00 am while the last flight to take off is at 10:30 pm. The airport opens at 4:00 am and closes at midnight. The airport's airport control center remains open 24/7, to serve as a reliever when the main airport, url=https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=417822]Argentinstan City International Airport[/url], faces delays or other problems that disrupts the airspace.
