boejoe news: there was a fire last night in tyler city. It was easily stopped but could have caused mass damage and boejoe is at one of its richest times. Boejoe advice: when life gives you lemons, sue life for not making lemonade, sue the supermarket who life bought the lemons from, sue the farm the supermarket got the lemons from, then sue the person who picked the lemons.

She spotted the Carnelian entourage arriving, she'd have to make time they were a very important friend and ally to AHSCA but she couldn't be rude. She was going to make way over but got caught up a bit.
With Tyler wandering over to the piano he'd come upon a young lady in a tux, normal human part of the entertainment but no less playing her best efforts. "Good evening." She wished "If I didn't spot the glint of a musician in you then I must be quite a loon." She said still continuing her measure. Almost as if she could read his mind she continued "If you wish to play, I'm happy to let you on for a bit, my fingers do need a rest and besides no one said a guest couldn't indulge themselves in piano."

Dragonellis wrote:The steady swings maintained the Draan's altitude, teetering every now and then as the wind disturbed an otherwise even flight. His attire, so meticulously and painstakingly fitted, held up rather well to the strenuous motion. To the untrained eye, one could have perhaps mistaken him for an oversized bat in fashion befitting of the sixteenth century were he only slightly more discernable midst the night sky. But yet, as time elapsed between his departure - the view of a distant island came into his perspective, with a rather sizable vessel moored yet still. One of his hands broke formation, reaching to his belt so it could rifle around through the sole leather satchel sewn into the material. With a tight-fisted grasp so as to not lose it to the unyielding winds, he removed a small card. Proof of identity that would hopefully ward off any scrutiny from suspecting parties. His eyes scanned over the glossy surface, removed from the wide expanse in front of him as he double-checked to confirm that all was in order.
Tharos was closing. He kept the card clutched within his grasp, and he gingerly banked forward in order to begin a steady descent. The ends of his wings furled up in resistance, dragging against the wind in order to provide resistance - slowing himself down so he wouldn't overshoot his mark. And no sooner than he was over the structure, he whisked himself forward so as to go feet-first, swiftly beating his wings so as to manage his descent and landing. As his feet touched down against the ground, his knees buckled - absorbing whatever momentum remained, and swiftly dissipating it as a rather inordinate amount of pain around the joints. His form of travel was hardly luxurious by any means, but it got the job done in proper Draan form. The only thing that could have stood to improve was his ability to land, for his work was clumsy in comparison to the grace sometimes put on show by others of his kin.
He hissed slightly as he rose to his feet, the seething pain in his legs slowly dissipating as he began to move again. The Draan's stride took him beyond the base of the pier, marching forward with a slight hobble to his step initially. With a singular purpose, he sought to disregard any given attention from his landing display - moving towards the boarding point of the dock so he could access the vessel.
Tharos swiftly pocketed his card upon admission, his glance turning to face towards the bow-side of the vessel. He hadn't any inkling of whether or not he was late, but there was only one way he'd find out. The Draan swallowed whatever semblance of pride he once had as he began to trudge along the walkway. He was quickly reminded of just how much he didn't like these sorts of events, if only because of the fact that he believed he looked like a fool. The neck cravat was too tight, whilst the doublet constricted his arms to a degree. He thought to himself about what he wouldn't have given for a much more practical attire, but the circumstances were against him. This was his job, after all. Didn't mean he had to like certain aspects of it, however. But his thoughts wavered, and as he paced along, his attention came to rest on the Kaze itself. It was, for all intents and purposes, certainly impressive in its appearance. He could only hazard guesses pertaining to its technological marvels, which led him to cast a glance off of the side of the ship to peer over to the adjacent island.
It all dawned on the Draan within the span of a moment. A wry smirk appeared on his visage, underlined with his toothy maw. Perhaps, for once, he could have looked past all of his grievances. That way, he could atleast try to enjoy his stay. He was in a foreign land all on his own. He had to make the most of it, for his sake.
Eventually, he'd have come to perceive the alleged grouping on the bow - taking a moment to survey those present for the initial moment. He looked over each individual readily, cross-comparing their guises with the given description in his mind. 'Which of them was Millhiore?' However, the train of thought wouldn't last out of the stark fear of looking like a bumbling fool. In the end, he'd simply pace forward - placing a hand on his own chest whilst holding his other arm out to his side. He leaned forward, performing a humble bow to the group as a whole as he thought to introduce himself. "Sirs and Dames. Beg pardon, for I fear that I may be late. Prithee, to whom do I owe this honor?" he announced to nobody in particular. For those present, it's likely that he was addressing any and all in the name of striking up conversation.
Boejoe wrote:Tyler Boyer said" thank you!" Then, he walked over to the piano and sat down. "I'll play sunrise sonatina first. Then I can do 2 minuets" he said. He started playing sunrise sonatina beautifully. Meanwhile, Tyler qipe was hanging out with Adam McGarry near the refreshments. " Look at him play! He's awesome at piano!" Said Tyler Qipe. "He really is!" Said Adam." He's also a good cook. These brownies are awesome!" "I know right?" Said Tyler Qipe. "Yeah" said Adam. "Maybe we should go introduce ourselves to some other guests? I'd love to try and get an embassy here." "I know you love your job. I love mine as well, but how about you try to just make friends. At least acquaintances. Also, If we become friends with the leaders of this country Adam, that might be the way to get an embassy here. Maybe even become allies with this country." "Well then what are we waiting for?" Said Adam. Tyler Qipe and Adam walked over to where everyone else was to meet some people as Tyler Boyer was playing the third part to his sonatina. Meanwhile, Anna was near the entrance, twitching a little. she went to the bathroom, pulled out some weird drink and drank it. "That's better" she said as she left the bathroom.
Carnelian Island wrote:After a busy day of working, Shiefa was looking forward to spending time at a lovely gala put together by Premier Biscotti. Carnelian and AHSCA had a long harmonous history together even if this wasn't an official state event, it was important to show neighborly support for their like minded friends. Plus an event entirely for non-humans and a chance to spend it with her girlfriend, Safira, what better way to spend an evening. Shiefa took a quick detour over to neighboring state, Corona Island to pick up Safira "Oh you look cute!" she complimented the cute dress she made.
"Oh it's nothing, just something I made a little while ago, I was going to sell it but I just ended up liking it too much."
"Well it looks great on you. Shall we?"
Hand in hand they returned to the boat that took them to the Kaze where they were boarded and welcomed. "Let's see where is she? Oh there! Looks like she's already got some guests so we'll just have to wait our turn I suppose."
"Oh she's so pretty in that dress!"
"You didn't make that, did you?"
"No, not me. I would make her something nice though if she asked. But it would be improper of me to ask her for that."
"mmmm" Shiefa had a glint in her eyes, maybe she'd wrestle a favor out of the lovely Premier tonight for the love of her life. "Look at the moon, it sure is lovely tonight"
"Always nice to see the moon instead of lightning this time of the year"

Marty was holding a Polaroid camera up to the window glass, snapping pictures of anything the least bit interesting. Duncan, in human form, sat with his face buried in a book, oblivious to the passing scenery.
The travelers had arrived in the country earlier that day on an Arctica-Aleutian passenger liner. The ship was large and slow, but during the long journey they had met lots of new people and even some old friends. All in all, ship travel had been a much better choice than air travel. Privately, Larisa was glad there hadn't been a land route from home to here, as that would have led to Wyatt insisting on driving the whole way. Larisa liked to spend as little time as possible in "that terrible old car", as she called it.
Suddenly the car screeched to a halt, nearly throwing Larisa to the floor. She rolled her eyes and smiled. She loved Wyatt, but once they were married he was going to have to get a different car. Preferably one with seatbelts.
The four took a waiting skiff out to the ship. Larisa felt better out of the car and in the moonlight. Vampires were creatures of the night, after all.
They were dropped off on the Kaze, and Wyatt greeted the hostess.
"Greetings, madam! I am president Wyatt Wizzard II of Arctica-Aleutia, and this is my fiancée Larisa and her children."

"More guests!" Millihi getting a bit overwhelmed now but thankfully some of the other guests had moved around to mingle with others. "Oh my what a marvelous looking sword!
