It absolutely is failing. The Republicans certainly aren't helping it but to claim it's not failing is just wrong. We do need change on healthcare ASAP.

We need socialized medicine/universal healthcare (yes, I do use those two interchangeably and not in a negative way).
it isn't failing and socialized medicine is politically untenable. we need to make THIS plan work as well as it can then work on ways to reach those who still don't have insurance.

By forcing people to buy heath insurance.
What a great idea.
But with socialized medicine, we wouldn't really have to deal with insurance because everyone could be covered.

Of course. The like their obscene profits. They don't like being told they can't deny people. Etc., etc., etc.
Keep in mind many of the failings were set to appease the republicans.

Sure, but that doesn't change the fact that it is failing.
I dunno what we should do on healthcare because frankly it's not an area I'm particularly knowledgeable on but I do know we need something other than Obamacare.

Personally, I am of the mindset that health insurance is just a failing system in and of itself that should have died last century.
It's not sustainable to have a population eternally betting against itself on the risk of getting sick.

there IS NOTHING other than Obamacare.
as our friend above said, universal health care, single payer, socialized medicine would all be superior but, sadly, we cant have nice things in this country any more.
