Well, they're not as terrible as ghettos; at least medicine and stuff exists in, hopefully, plenty.

Ehhh, the worst hit will be the usual tourist attractions (Disney, New York, Florida etc). It will have an economic impact, but I doubt the effects have any impact on social issues. Doesn't sound nice though, and it definitely sucks to hear that.

After spending years in Internet, I've still not sure if I should assume that comments along lines of "Thanks! This video taught me more than years in apperenticeship/trade school" on videos about basic electrical engineering/tech things are written in tongue in cheek, or if they're serious( and be worried).

Some of them are serious. There are some very good "math for electrical engineers" videos out there.

The comprehensive education one receives in a school may not necessarily be the most practical way to learn specific knowledge.

Yeah, the implication was as such. :/

Really feels like a lot of the voters would probably desire for America to become an agarian society again at this rate, that the frictions between the two ends are becoming that tenuous. (The other end might possibly feel the same, who knows?)

I admit that. But I am not neccesarily even talking about math side. But I guess it's just projecting my own learning experience, and expectations of it, on wrong people and institutions.

I was talking about people, whom I assumed ought to have had that knowledge before hand, because they trained to be electricians/electrical engineers/whatever. :P

Well, there's the more general "I learnt more from this video than from all the school in the world!" type of thing, so maybe it's not that far off......?
