Romo retired largely because of health reasons. Peyton pretty much retired because of health reasons.
I don't know why everything has to be 'Brady this' and 'Brady that' here sometimes....Idzequitch wrote:With Tomo signing with CBS, one wonders where the Texans will look now. Especially with the Osweiler trade, they looked poised to pounce on Romo. Do they stick with Savage, or find someone else?
BTW, congrats to Romo. It hasn't been the most glamorous of careers for him, but he really was a pretty good QB. Now he's taking a job where he shouldn't have to miss time due to injury.
(In before he misses 4-6 weeks of broadcasting with a vocal cord injury.)
Yeah, a good question for sure. I think that if they can't fix the QB issue, no chance they have even remote chance for Super Bowl down the road.
Honestly, I think Savage is an upgrade over Osweiler, but he's not the high caliber QB the Texans need to be serious contenders. With Miller, Hopkins, Watt and company, it seems like they have all the other pieces in place. If they manage to get a high quality QB, that's a scary team. Question is, who can they get?
