Biography: (At least two well written paragraphs please): Born around 238AC Hoster Tully has been Lord Paramount of the Riverlands for many years. He married Minisa Whent and had three children; Catelyn, Lysa and Edmure. He was once tall and strong with the traditional Blue Eyes and Brown hair of the Tully's, but not stricken with illness and bedridden he is a shadow of his former self.

In his prime he raised the Tully family to its greatest heights of power. Two daughters wed to Lord Paramounts including one sullied before her wedding, he used his diplomatic clout to seal his place in the power bloc that would rule Westeros after the fall of the dragons. this however came at a cost, his relationship with Brynden strained to breaking and his daughter Lysa grew to hate him fiercely.

The Riverlands would be a central location for any war in Westeros due to geography, bordering 6 of the 9 regions. In addition the Riverlands has a large surplus of crops and fish to sell across Westeros, the Riverlands is now and always will be a tempting target, making the alliances made by its leaders vital. His own marriage to the Whents secured the only major defensive position in the Riverlands, Harrenhal.

When he was younger Hoster served in the War of Ninepenny Kings, fighting side by side with lords from across Westeros. Among those he befriended were Rickard Stark of the North and Tytos Lannister of the Westerlands as well as a minor Lord by the name of Baelish...

Now Hoster is at the end of his life, and the legacy he hands off to his children is crumbling. The question is now whether or not under the new pressures of the times his alliances can stand and protect his Family, Duty and Honor.

I'm working on the Blacklocke family tree, about 102 years have passed since the start of the family. How big could the family have gotten? And how many generations could we have?

I find it kind of funny that in almost every ASoIaF roleplay, so many custom houses/characters simply must have a Valyrian steel sword. I've seen instances where people have their custom houses own more than one, in fact. As of the start of the series the only houses that have them are Tarly, Corbray, Stark, Mormont, Harlaw, Celtigar, and Drumm. That is most likely less than a percantage of the houses that exist. If the House Lannister can't find one, it is quite unlikely yours can.

Biography: Renly is the youngest of three Baratheon brothers, having been born thirteen years after his older brother, Stannis. Soon after coming of age, he would take on the youngest son of Lord Mace Tyrell of Highgarden, Loras, as a page and squire. Eventually their relationship flowered into a love affair, unknown to most.

Once a man Renly was named to the Small Council by his brother Robert in the position of Master of Laws. Leaving Ser Cortnay Penrose as castellan of Storm's End, Renly left for King's Landing. Renly dpes not take his role very seriously however, preferring to spend Small Council meetings joking around. At least he turns up though, unlike some.

Almost if not all Valryian swords were obtained by the family during the age of Valyria and since then passed down. Once the Doom came, this made Valyrian swords so rare that you cannot put a price on it since the knowledge of making them was lost.

Tywin offered so many houses a shit ton of wealth, and sometimes these houses were in debt yet they never gave up the sword. The Valyrian Sword not only is a valuable weapon but it's a symbol. When one thinks of House Corbray or Tarly they think of their swords. Dayne being the exception with their meteorite sword.

How would a house from the Riverlands that did not have a Valyrian Sword before some how get one? Like I said, they would of have to have stolen it from another family and thus create a blood feud. Or they traveled to Valyria which is a suicide mission.

Also don't forget Red Rain, and Nightfall which are the only two Ironborn swords. And a majority of people agree that Red Rain was stolen from House Reyne due to the color and name.

I'm locking out the swords because if I allow one house to have a sword, everyone is going to want one. And these swords while rare are not commonly seen, (it's why we only have knowledge of a good handful in the books and a lot of them have unknown fates) I think it is best to just have all custom houses are not allowed to have one. Maybe you can try and take one in the IC from a canon house.
