Still to do: resign Hightower.
Trade away to get some more picks: one from Garoppolo, Butler, Gronk. I'd trade Jimmy G to the Browns for a first and a second (and do the BB vulcan mindmelt thing with Sashi Brown to make him accept it  ), then keep Butler.

Hightower might be going to the Titans, you never know. It looks like the Jets are trying, but they don't have the cap and I doubt he'd want to go to such a disgrace of a franchise. The Patriots, dominant for the last long time, but with an aging star QB, or the Titans, in a growing city with a team that's primed to be good for the next few years?

Probably Pats, who the hell am I kidding? XD

Don't act like Garoppolo, Brissett, or any next QB that Bill drafts can't take over and lead the pats to at least an 11-5 record.

The Titans future depends on the consistency of the Jaguars. Bortles went from over 30 touchdowns to like 23 TD and 15 interceptions. It also depends on what the Texans get for quarterback, considering the very good Texans defense (JJ Watt!) and that the Texans are essentially a good quarterback away from consistent playoff relevance.

Don't forget the Colts. Despite the fact that New England, the Steelers, and the Raiders can and have curbstomped them, the Colts have the easiest schedule next season and can still compete for the AFC South division title.

It's a garbage division, but it is sort of interesting.

As long as Emperor Palpatine is at the head, New England is still on top of the AFC. 2-0 with Garoppolo against pretty good teams (Cardinals were in the NFC Champinship in the season before and Dolphins have a good offense) Then NE went 1-1 with a 3rd stringer. I still find it odd that NE beat one of the better defenses 27-0, and then lost to the walking mediocrity of the Buffalo Bills 0-16.

Well, this is unexpected. Donta Hightower is reportedly meeting with the Steelers. He'd be a nice addition, but I doubt he'll land in Pittsburgh.

Texans get my dude JJ Watt back, best athlete to ever step foot on a field, that's true. I'm a Watt fan, but I'm also a Titans fan. XD Also a Fitzpatrick fan BECAUSE THE FREAKING BEARD.

Moving on: Hightower isn't going to the Steelers unless they offer him 10-13 mil. I think that's a fair price(Titans Avery Williamson or Wesley Woodyard, can't remember which, who's mediocre at best, makes 7.5, after all). His main two options are Titans and Pats, and I'd almost give him an 8.5 mil contract with incentives for how many games he plays in to go up to 12.5 mil or something like that.

Colts: They have Andrew Luck, and the Titans secondary lost us those games. Logan Ryan and Johnathan Cyprien, plus Kevin Byard's development, should put a halt on that. That team is basically Andrew Luck and T.Y. Hilton, with some Frank Gore sprinkled in there. I'd say they go 7-9 this year, tbh.

Texans: Even Tom Savage can get them to 9-7 or 10-6. If they can land Romo, expect a very heated division between them and the Titans.

Jags: They need a new coach, and they got one. The way they played against the Titans in the second game, Bortles looked like Aaron Rodgers(see Titans Secondary), except we beat Aaron Rodgers, their defensive line lived up to the hype, smacking our #1 rated O-Line, and their entire team looked on point. If they play like that every week, they can win ten games.

Titans: It really will depend on a few things. One: Will Mariota be healthy come week 1, and will he be able to play at the level he was in the second half of the season? Two: Can Logan Ryan and Johnathan Cyprien solidify our secondary, and Kevin Byard step up his game? Three: Can Morgan, Casey, and Orakpo play at the level they have been for the last couple years, and get more than twenty sacks between the three of them? And lastly, can we get a solid reciever, and can Delanie continue to play the way he has been?

The Jaguars have stacked their defense this FA period. The question is whether or not these signings are worth anything. After all, this is a team that passed on JJ WATT to give the world the noodle arm of Blaine Gabbert. (Lmao so did the Titans) And Bortles is an inconsistent mess. He went from 4,428 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions to 3,905 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions.

If the Texans can get to 9-7 with someone who might be worse at quarterback than Blaine Gabbert (Osweiler) and instead they land Tony Romo and somehow keep him healthy, I doubt that the Titans will have a chance at the divisional championship. Yes, Mariota is very good, but the Texans as a team are better. And, if the Texans land a healthy (big if right here) Tony Romo, the division crown is 99% theirs.

We got Rex!!!

No not that one ;)

Burkhead coming in from Cincy. No word yet on LeGarrette Blount.
Malcolm Butler talking to the Saints. Hightower leaves Pittsburgh without signing (and apparently the Steelers withdrew their offer).

What the HECK is happening to my Bengals?!? C'mon, guys, the OL isn't just Andy and AJ Green! Let's try and keep a few players besides them! Well, crap!

Best of luck, Rex. I'll miss you, for what it's worth.

.......I hope the NFL Draft can help address this........

Amen. It's time your team get some strength to win the Super Bowl. The revolution begins!

As the Bengals seem to have gone from "In reverse" to "In reverse off a cliff", I think I'll probably spend more time celebrating Detroit's victories than the Bengals'.

#OnePride might actually win a playoff game for the first time since Barry Sanders.

I like what Bob Quinn has done to rebuild the offensive line. Ricky Wagner more than the average for RTs, but Minnesota got Reiff for more than 10 million. The T.J. Lang signing will definitely bolster the guard position. Now, defense is the main priority, especially linebackers and pass rushers.

If Watt and Romo were both healthy, and the Texans had both of them, I agree. But at the same time, if the Titans have a corner (they do now, Logan Ryan) and a good wide receiver (going to the draft boys), I honest to god think that Mariota is the better quarterback. The X factor there would be how well can a pair of pro-bowl level, vicious offensive tackles hold up against the best player in football.

But I think if Tennessee can get Corey Davis or John Ross in the draft, then they will be the better team. (Low key I think Mike Williams will be a bust, Corey Davis looks like the best overall for the #1 receiver that we need tbh, and John Ross could at least occupy some safeties)

I say 11-5 right now for the Titans. If we can get a WR and maybe Reuben Foster or something...we'll see. I'd love to have Reuben Foster, btw, and I think they should trade up to get him. He's basically a cheaper Don'ta Hightower.

A healthy Tony Romo is like a goose that laid an aluminum egg, not particularly valuable even if it did exist.

As Walt likes to say, you can't outsmart the Patriots.

True. They can only outsmart themselves and every know and then they do. The jury will be out on this one awhile though.

Looking for Ravens to sign C Nick Mangold soon. This would be an upgrade over disappointing Jeremy Zuttah who was cut an hour ago. Ravens also looking at CB Claiborne from the 'Boys (further dismantling their defense). This after adding S Tony Jefferson and resigning the best DT in the NFL Brandon Williams. On offense they've added Danny Woodhead to the RB mix.

Hoping they can bring back Anquan Boldin if he and Harbs didn't split up in 2013 on irreconcilable differences. The trade of Boldin for a 6th rounder from SF never really made much sense to me.

6-9-1 last year looks like a pipe dream this year.

The Bengals have the biggest thug. Burfict, 55, I don't care what you can say about his abilties. He's talented, sure, but that man is a total thug. 2015 (16?) wild card round: He managed to hit the ref after making a potentially fatal helmet to helmet hit on Antonio Brown. This was literally minutes after he intercepted a pass from Roethsliberger and then the RB fumbled.

The hitting of the ref and helmet to helmet hit on Brown were enough penalities for the Steelers to get into field goal range. The Steelers won the game, 18-16. It's a level of pain that the Cleveland Browns can only dream of.

Hey, the Bengals have at least 2 wins guaranteed. They'll be playing the Browns.

Why can't the season start back up? I wanna see New England doing stuff.

Speaking of the Bengals, their offense has been decimated the last two off seasons. 2 solid receivers gone and two solid o linemen gone...

Ravens pull slick move with 49ers. Instead of releasing C Jeremy Zuttah they trade him to SF. They also send a sixth rounded (the 198th) pick to the Niners.

The Ravens get the Niners 186th pick in the sixth round in return. Not that much of a big deal until you consider cutting Zuttah would have cleared $2.5M in cap space but trading him instead clears $5.8 million. A very clever maneuver by GM Ozzie Newsome. Good luck to the Niners with the highly penalized and injury prone Zuttah. Maybe a change of scenery will do the trick.

Why did the packers let their o line get mangled this year? Its like they don't care about their chances to win.

They think Aaron Rodgers is enough to drag the team to success.

They aren't exactly wrong...
