The Federation of College Sports ( FCS) is Kebec's largest and most influential body for student-athlete collegiate sports. Thr FCS is made up of eight major universities spread over all of Kebec's eight states. The FCS actively fields competitions in basketball, gridiron football, hockey, and soccer. All competitors are either FCS member or non-member schools, however, ths FCS highly encourages schools to become members. The FCS is known for producing the majority of Kebecois sporting talent, however, the Student-Athlete Sports Commission, aimed for smaller schools is also active in Kebec, giving an alternative choice for those not wishing to participate.

FCS adheres to the following rules:
- No overtime during regular season
- The Top 8 teams from each conference qualify to the post season
- Seeding is done in groups of four (i.e: All Conference champs will be seeds 1-4, conference runner ups 5-8, conference 3rd place teams 9-12, etc.)
- NSCAA recommended teams are based on 1) teams that request to be considered for the tournament and, 2) seeding committee analysis of season-long performance

CALIX CITY People who say that Kebec's gridiron scene is lacking are largely mistaken, in the Gridiron Football League's first season, we saw the Wilsinton Skyhawks out of the little-known town of Wilsinton of just 18.604 people go down to the city of Calix City and stun the Odin Country Asgardians, coached by national-team head offensive coordinator Silvain Hauet, using its run game to grind out a 37-24 win. the Odin Country Asgardians are no doubt a top team, amassing a nearly pristine record of 9-1-2, their sole losses coming to early in the season. Coming into the game, the Odin Country Asgardians were huge favorites to knockout the Skyhawks, forget that the Skyhawks had only lost two games and tied one more than the Asgardians, no team seemed able to knock off the capital clubs twice as earlier, the 'Hawks had knocked off the other capital club, the Sario Riverbenders 13-7 in downtown Sario. It seemed impossible that the Skyhawks even had a chance to match the great firepower that the offense the Asgardians possessed, no one gave the Skyhawks a chance, except of course for the Skyhawks.
The Wilsinton Skyhawks had relatively few strengths, never mind their subpar defense, they had made their game with their offensive scheme, utilizing an Air Coryell -- a hybrid of the famed West Coast Offense to stifle opponent's defenses and keep them shifting. The 'Hawks had used that well all season, shown in week twelve's season-finale 10-0 victory of the Umbridge-on-Lyons Sun Stars. Their offense proved to be the national Cinderella group, a story unknown to many, here was a team of rag-tag players, some young, some old enough to retire playing for a championship. Their offense proved to be their secret weapon throughout the entire tournament, learning how to master it proved to be the challenge, some wins were good, some ugly.
The 13-7 win of the Sario Riverbenders served as the full-course showing of the Wilsinton Skyhawks, never mind the 'Hawks had demolished the Eckerbride Tornados 30-0 the previous week, no one had expected them to outlive the best team in the league, the Riverbenders. Many had said that the GFL championship game, the Asgardia Bowl was going to be an all-Sario affair between the two capital clubs, the Odin Country Asgardians and the Sario Riverbenders, some had even placed bets on the Riverbenders winning it all. The point that made it stand out was the fact that Wilsinton won in hostile territory, travelling northeast to the capital, playing in unnaturally cold territory, playing the nation's best team, the Riverbenders had went 12-0 in their first season of play.
Now, the evil and always dangerous Odin Country Asgardians stood in front of them, the last trek to the top of the mountain -- no pun intended -- for the Skyhawks, they'd be playing on neutral territory of course, in Calix City, Thor Country -- but with the stakes even higher, a national championship was on the line. The game started with the beginnings of a shootout, Wilsinton received the ball first as the team with the lower record, on first down and ten from their thirty-four yard-line, Montie Danalux connected with Delvion Busedax, the 'Hawks running-back for a sixty-four yard touchdown pass and the lead -- however, the Odin Country Asgardians took four plays and two minutes and six seconds to march back down the other way and tie the game up at seven. The remaining first quarter was filled with unnaturally defensive play by both teams, stifiling the opposing quarterback as Danalux was sacked three times during the first quarter.
The second quarter favored the Asgardians from the beginning, after a turnover-on-downs at their seventeen yard-line by the 'Hawks, the Asgardians took a seven-point lead, now up 14-7 just thirty seconds in. Ten seconds later, a botched kick-return by the Skyhawks gave the Asgardians the ball back with twenty-seven yards of open space in front of them, it took little effort for them to parch down to the end-zone on a two-play drive. The Skyhawks of course was able to respond, however, not appropriately as their march back downfield was halted at the Odin Country thirty-seven yard-line, the Skyhawks had to settle for a forty-yard field goal. Of course, they managed it, splitting the uprights and making the game now 21-10, this was shaping to be an interesting game.
The third quarter saw the Skyhawks come out firing, after the 'Hawks defensive mounted a stop on the Asgardians, forcing a turnover-on-downs, the offense reacted well, rushing down field in a hurry-up offense to the four yard-line. The score came a few seconds later as seen in the picture above when Busedax was able to run thru the line into the endzone, closing the score with the Asgardians, now only down 21-16. Unfortunately, they were unable to score on the following play's PAT attempt, leaving some wondering how a kicker was able to nail a forty-yarder in heavy wind but miss a fifteen-yarder in relatively calm weather.
And then, another five minutes passed, Odin Country added a field-goal, now up 24-16, all seemed lost for the Skyhawks side...
Entering the fourth-quarter, on the opening drive, Busedax was able to escape thru a tight opening and run the length of the field for sixty-three yards and the touchdown, the score was now a two-point difference, 24-22 -- the 'Hawks then converted on a two-point conversion. Choosing to use a timeout after receiving the kick, the Asgardians managed to get to the 'Hawks forty before stalling, they were forced to punt deep into Skyhawks territory with six minutes left. The 'Hawks took the ball, continuing their no-huddle offense, however, they nearly had an interception after a forgotten play-call left an Asgardian cornerback in front of the wide-receiver for what would've been the game ending interception. However, the 'Hawks found their stride soon after, connecting on successive plays and taking the lead 29-24. The Skyhawks would later add another touchdown on a pic-six by their safety, icing the game for them, a two-point conversion would see them thru for a stunning victory, 37-24.

The Associated Soccer League (ASL) (Ligue de Soccer associés) is Kebec's premier and top associated football league after the former league, Starliga folded midway thru its second season, the Associated Soccer League, known as the Association by its members features sixteen teams competing over thirty-two matchdays. The Associated Soccer League is managed by the Kebec Footballing Union (Union du football de Kebec) and is also funded by various sporting sponsors around the multiverse, while all teams are owned by Kebecois businessmen, the KFU is interested in the future to turn management over to multi-national corporations. To goal of the Association is to ddevelop professional talent for Kebec for use in national team ventures and to provide a top league throughout the Confederacy of Free Nations. The Association is also in charge of managing its two sub-leagues, The Players League (La Ligue des joueurs) where it relegates to and League 3 (Ligue 3).

The Bifrost Cup is a tourney to see who in Kebec among its three different leagues will represent Kebec in the UICA's annual and world-famous club-championships, known internationally as the Globe Cup. The opening round of play saw many giants topple against lower-league teams, especially teams from Ligue 3, we saw a disappointing performance from F.C. Manitoba Country to open the League Cup, just barely squeaking out a 1-0 victory over TPL upstart, Faliox United in the final minutes of the game. The Kalatun Ice Villagers, a Ligue 3 team gave the Regina Rush F.C. players a run for their money as Regina was able to pull out a 4-3 victory thanks to a 72nd minute penalty kick that found the back of the net, causing an extensive celebration from the city of Regina who nearly was eliminated by a Ligue 3 team. Ligue 3 came alive with a 1-0 Jazzxcula S.C. win over Eckenburg Mountain, the loss was so painful for the Eckenburg Mountain front-office that they showed coach Andrew Dush to the door, he'll be looking for a job during the season. As a whole, the opening round saw many upsets and birthed 1/4th of the Ligue 3 team's getting thru to the second-round of play.
The Association as expected dominated, sending eleven of its sixteen teams thru to the second round, but, the largest mistakes for the Association were how sloppy their wins were, Capital F.C., representing the capital of Kebec, Sario, required extra-time and penalty-kicks to knock off their Ligue 3 opponents in Big Bay A.C., City of North Hampton S.C. squeezed by S.C. Big Bay 1-0 with a goal in the 77th minute. Dominic Saint-Xevaux, star player on the Kebecois national football team and his team, Faliox F.C. crashed out on PKs to fellow ASL team, Clube de Calix S.C., it is notable Saint-Xevaux scored all three goals in that match, so, that loss must hurt the city of Faliox. Second-league teams faired somewhat well in the opening round, F.C. Morgantown had a convincing 3-2 victory over ASL side Cordberry Pines at home, they're, next playing at home against the El Venero Stars F.C. in what will be quite an interesting matchup.

The second round of matches left us with ten decent teams left in the hunt for the Bifrost Cup, we saw a halfway-decent showcase from many of the Association's teams as exactly half of the remaining ASL teams progressed to the second stage in the tournament It was in all honesty quite a dull second round between the twenty teams dueling for a spot in the Globe Cup, it failed to ignite the passion of Kebecois football that the first round had guaranteed. In the marquee match up, Ligue 3 team, Cortana United A.C. stunned the world, holding F.C. Manitoba Country scoreless thru the entire game before winning on PKs, this sent them thru to the quarterfinals round. A stunning performance from the City of North Hampton F.C. also enlightened spectators however and has prompted many to support the North Hampton side in the quest for the Bifrost Cup, unfortunately for the underdogs, TPL teams disappointed.
The top Ligue 3 team, Jazzxcula F.C. progressed to the quarterfinals thanks to a goal in the 26th minute by national-team striker, Addington Creux, this allowed Jazzxcula safe passage into the second round where they will most likely be facing on of the Association's teams. Cortana United F.C. also progressed into the quarterfinals, thanks mostly to their hetoic defense late in the game, preventing four shots on goal and later taking home the ball with PKs. F.C. Morganstown, the top TPL team and one of the three to make it to the second round edged out the El Venero Stars F.C., using a 3-2-1-4 tactic, unused by many to edge out the opposition, this Morganstown is also a major favorite in the next round -- many wonder, can they win it all?

Despite Cortana United A.C.'s recent run of success over its ASL opponents, it found its march in Faliox Falls who lead by national-team midfielder, Garnier Roland ran the table on Cortana's Ligue 3 club, winning 5-3, during the game, Roland recorded his fist hat-trick , included, Roland is only 22, this is his rookie year after playing for Fox Corner State University during college. As such, Ligue 3's hopes now rest on the shoulders of Jazzxcula S.C. who recorded a 1-0 win over Big Bay Sporting Club, many now wonder how Jazzxcula will fair against top teams as now their opposition will be among top-flight ASL teams and no longer the mediocre and cellar-dwellers of of the Association. F.C. Morganstown toppled the favorites in Clube de Calix CCity S.C. on penalty-kicks, this left Morganstown quite happy we imagine.
Cortana Club dealt a tough blow to Bay City Athletics, winning 3-1 and sending B.C.A. crashing out of the tournament, truly a crash and burn moment for Bay City who had done well prior to this game. We now turn to the second leg of the quarter-finals, as two teams received quarterfinals byes, the quarterfinals continues with four remaining teams vying for the two spots in the highly coveted semifinals. We now have adjusted out claims and now have filled F.C. Morganstown to win it all in Sario National Stadium, our projected runner-ups are Vikingtown F.C., we now must see what will happen. Will we see a surprise winner -- will a TPL team win it all onr F.C. Morganstown or will the Association charge to an unearned victory? The Cortana Club played at home at the Cortana Fields [ 20.000 seating cap. ] and walked away with a clutch victory over Faliox Falls, many had favored Cortana to win it all, but, still, this is an amazing win for the club of newbies. We must say, Cortana did not score until the seventy-fourth minute which is when the floodgates opened, they would to proceed to score twice more: one in the eighty-third minute and then once again in the ninetieth minute plus-five. Cortana probably laid it on thick a little too much, however, a win is a win, no matter the score and here, we saw Cortana get it done when it needed it the most.

Whelp. Its going to be an all-ASL affair unfortunately in the Bifrost Cup finals-leg, we saw immense disappointment on part of Jazzxcula S.C. who failed in the final minutes to protect their one-goal lead, giving up two goals in rapid succession. This served as a blow to the Jazzx side which had worked so hard to get here, if anyone remembers, their grinding win over Eckenburg Mountain in the first game seems far away compared to where they are now. Jazzxcula S.C. will now remain at home for their game was at home, it will be quite a sad few weeks for the Jazzx side until Ligue 3 begins, now, they must prepare for a grueling stretch of twenty-four games to prove themselves worthy of the second-division. However, North Hampton will be quite a happy town as the Hampton Edge Observer wrote with perfect words, "the credibility of Kebecois association football seems to be on the rise, the credibility of North Hamptonese soccer however remains amazing."
Cortana Club and Vikingtown F.C. battled it out in the Cortana Fields to a 2-2 draw, extra-time failed to yield anything better for the two sides, the defining moment was left to the penalty-kicks when Cortana was able to escape with a narrow 5-4 win, clinching the win with the final kick and sending the city of Cortana City into jubilation and Vikingtown into an uproar of shame. Many in Vikingtown claim the match was fixed and favored Cortana from the beginning, this has lead to the Kebec Footballing Union (Union du football de Kebec) to announce that match-referee, Jean Jacques will be put forth on the KFU Ethics Board for a full investigation into the match. No matter for Cortana, they're thru into the finals!
Both City of North Hampton F.C. and Cortana Club are Globe Cup representatives for Kebec.

Both City of North Hampton S.C. and Cortana Club had both been assured qualification into the Globe Cup, as such, there was no need to send out the starting eleven, as such, both team's B-teams played in the first leg of the Bifrost Cup finals in Sario National Stadium. In front of 58.000 and in heavy snow, Cortana Club trudged to a 3-1 victory in the first-leg, taking a 2-point lead on aggregate in the Bifrost Cup finals, the icing on the cake an errant ball slipping past the wet hands of the CoNH S.C. goal-keeper who was unable to keep a hand on it.KFU -- Bifrost Cup -- Finals second-leg

We have the final result of the Bifrost Cup, with Cortana Club getting the result they wanted with a 3-2 convincing victory over the City of North Hampton S.C., this gives Cortana Club the first-ever Bifrost Cup and alongside the Globe Cup berths for both sides.
