Personality: Despite his advanced age and general weariness overall, at the end of the day, he believes in the pursuit of justice and the truth despite opposition, even from among his peers and perhaps even superiors. Sarcastic and lacking time for anybody he doesn't think is worthy of it, he is not exactly a social butterfly. However, while he can be hard to work with, he is not completely abrasive. When he is in a good mood, he will drink with the best of them. Suffers from PTSD as a result of his service in the Vietnam War, although largely mitigated by treatment.
Biography: Hank Baker was born on March 18th, 1950, one of many Baby Boomers born from a veteran who returned home from the Second World War. A typical childhood, unremarkable in almost every matter, he graduated from high school in 1968, with hopes to go into law enforcement despite the political climate at the time. He didn't have much time to think about it, however. He was drafted into the United States Marine Corps and shipped out to Vietnam later that same year. He served 5 years in the USMC before being pulled out in 1973 with the beginning of a drawback in US involvement in the war. With his military career over and done with, he could finally pursue his original dream.

In the years that followed, he attended UCLA, earning a Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science. He managed to get a job in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he rose through the ranks through a long, glorious career as a field agent. On his 50th birthday, he accepted a desk job instead of continuing to risk his life in the field. He has in this job for almost 17 years. Now, on the verge of retirement, an old friend in the LAPD, Captain Gardner, called Baker back for one final mission in the field. A murder, Gardner said, with some... strange details...

Could also contact the Camarilla. Well you wouldn't know its the Camarilla cause of the Masquerade but certainly since they have their hands in various organizations, industrial sectors, businesses, and institutions they would be able to be reached in some form. Perhaps a call for funding? Or an exhibit of archaeological artifacts that perks Camarilla interest and thus direct interaction with them. Feel free to take the initiative with any of the other roleplayers like Ormata has done with beginning a Hunt.

Biography: Douglas is the only child of a poor couple living in the Sunland area of Los Angeles. When he was just a toddler he was attacked and bitten by a renegade vampire, and now does his best to deal with his condition, surviving off the blood of animals. For a long time, him and his parents didn't know of the complex society of supernatural creatures in LA, but recently they have been harassed by the Camarilla, which fears that his parents' knowledge of vampires' existence could spread to other humans. So far they have been able to deal with this, largely due to the help of their neighbors, who assume the attacks on the Jones' apartment are perpetrated by the gangs that are sadly rampant in their poor neighborhood. Having just turned 18, Douglas know he has to do something about the Camarilla to protect his parents. Of course, he has no idea how big a conspiracy he is getting himself into...
He probably won't be hostile toward the Camarilla, but will be against its goal of keeping vampires hidden from humans at all costs.
