The Democratic States of Aleria Embassy Program
The Democratic States of Aleria is a Small, quaint nation located on the Italian Peninsula, and is ruled by President Pro-Tempore Saluo Rivereto with an even hand. The nation is notable for its complete lack of prisons, absence of drug laws, and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate, democratic, devout population of 7.9 million Alerians are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections.
The large, liberal, socially-minded, outspoken government prioritizes Welfare, with Education, International Aid, and Spirituality also on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 49.7%, but much higher for the wealthy.
The sizable but inefficient Alerian economy, worth €370 billion (EUR) a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise being a rare site. The industrial sector, which is fairly diversified, is led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Basket Weaving, Cheese Exports, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. Average income is €44,876 , and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.
Alerians enjoy a fairly liberated, relaxed lifestyle, with protections afforded them in civil and rights, although the people have seen better days. The nation enjoys a temperate Mediterranean climate, and its residents enjoy watching football matches, drinking wine, and praying. The national languages are Esperanto, Italian, and English. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Aleri Republic's national animal is the Barn Owl, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.
Guidelines
All embassies will be established in one of the available chanceries on Cedro Vojo in downtown Kvarbaro. Each chancery has been built upon standard specifications to ensure all nations are on equal footing. Each chancery is located on the beach with great views of the Mediterranean sea and ample parking. All chancery parking lots are big enough to support an array of up to 15 vehicles if needed. Each floor measures 10m X 10m, with an additional 10m X 15 m basement in each building.

- No embassy may be staffed by more than 15 service staff
- No embassy may be staffed by more than 10 security staff
- No automatic or semi-automatic weapons or explosives will be permitted within the embassy
- Only tasers, pistols, rifles, shotguns, other small sidearms, and batons will be permitted unless compelling reasons are given to the contrary
- No aircraft, military vehicles, or cars with weapons will be permitted
- No more than 15 vehicles may be assigned to an embassy
- All plants, foods, beverages, drugs, and animals must be entered into customs and may be denied entry for any reason.
- All incoming staff must be vaccinated unless compelling reasons are given to the contrary
- The Aleri Republic is a World Assembly member and all diplomats within its borders are subject to the protections of GAR#22, "Diplomat Protection Act"
- The Aleri Republic recognizes embassies as places of asylum for the nationals of the nation which has established the aforementioned embassy
- The Aleri Republic may terminate without warning those embassies which are found to have been abandoned
-All permanent modifications to chanceries must be approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; unless otherwise specified, facades will be automatically painted in national colors unless this would render the building an eyesore pursuant to local ordinance.
