While there are no restrictions, per se, on selling these weapons to your nation’s armed forces, we cannot help but point out that this is a very unusual, not to say outlandish, order for our export business, even though Allanean arms industries are of course no strangers to outlandish and unusual orders. There are multiple issues which we would like to address before we commence construction of these devices:

1. The project is extremely costly. The bulk of the project’s cost comes from the cost of the superheavy battle tanks, wherein the total cost of the T-3500 SHBTs comes out to 12.5 trillion dollars, and the total cost of the ten Hood-class superdreadnaughts. In addition, 1.5 trillion dollars would have to be paid for the nuclear frigates, 2.25 trillion for the arsenal ship, 500 billion for hte submarine landing ships, 300 bn for the tanks. The cost of the UGVs is almost neglibible here, but the total sum is over 26.3 trillion Universal Standard Dollars. The cost is approximately $5,300 for every man, woman, and child in your nation.

2. The project requires a large quantity of facilities, materiel, and logistics effort to deliver. Even with the help of our friends in Menelmacar, it would be a logistics challenge to deliver this vast amount of gear in two months. (For clarity, the total mass of the super tanks is 8.75 [i]million metric tons, and the displacement of the Hood-class superdreadnoughts is 212.28 million metric tons together.

3. Continuing from the above, it is absolutely impossible for your nation, or any nation, to adequately train the crews for the ships and vehicles for the above tanks and gear within two months. The adequate training period for a tank soldier is generally considered to be between three and five months.

4. We are not clear of the strategic value of this amount of superheavy vehicles.

That said, this is a lucrative project for our defense industry members.

We are willing to point you to a loan agency willing to offer you a fair loan so you can pay our arms industry up front (there are some decent banks in the most Serene Republic High Treefolk, who are a strategic ally of our nation and can arrange for everything), and if you insist on cutting this deal despite our advice above, or to rearrange the deal, we can make sure it works out for you.

Hadur-class heavy howitzer

Increased involvement in numerous counterterrorist operations, and the new growth in pro-slavery movements around the world has forced the Directorate of Research, Evolution, And Developement [DREAD] to work jointly with the venerable Hammond Motors Corporation to look at better heavy howitzer designs. It was believed that 203mm howitzers are capable of providing an intermediate solution between 155mm guns and the 16-inch [406mm] Stormhammer cannon in use by the Army of the Free Kingdom.

However, it was believed that the slow firing rate of existing 203mm howitzers was insufficient for them to be used alongside other armaments. Calculations showed that 155mm autoloading howitzers could put more effective firepower on target than existing 203mm guns in the same time. A partial solution was found in improving the autoloading system available to 203mm howitzers.

The result was the Hadur-class HM-203 heavy howitzer.

Autoloader: The Hadur utilizes two separate loading systems, mounted externally on the back. One of them feeds artillery shells weighing more than 100 kilograms, and then the other inserts modular charges weighing 20 kilograms each of high-efficiency powder, to fire the shell. Both of these loading systems are computer controlled, and require no direct human involvement during the loading and firing other than the choice of the round and load type.

Onboard, the Hadur carries 8 rounds of 203mm ammunition. In testing conditions, it can fire 5 rounds a minute, which means that in 96 seconds it would have fired its entire ammunition supply. At this point it’s probable that the Hadur will be on the move, however once reloading is desired the loading arms move out of the way and an autonomous loading vehicle removes entirely the storage container for the 8 rounds and places a new one - with a fresh 8 rounds - in its place. The charges can either be replaced manually by the crew or placed in by the same loading vehicle. (The process takes up to 5 minutes). In addition, reloading can also be done shell by shell from the ground or a non-purpose-built vehicle, naturally this takes much slower (a mini-crane is mounted in the rear for this purpose).

Fire control:The Hadur carries an onboard ballistic computer capable communicating with normal Allanean C3I systems, either by digital encrypted field radio, field line (when static), or SatCom. It can calculate firing solutions based on targeting, meteorological, and geographic data from the network, or have the solutions sent to it from the Battery Commander, or have them be manually input. This system controls a hydraulic motor that moves the gun barrel. (In case of hydraulic motor failure, fine adjustments can still be done by hand-cranks).

An auxiliary power unit is available on board the machine to power this sytem when the main power unit is shut down.

Engine: The engine is a Hammond Motors 1600A - obviously, a 1600-hp engine, capable of providing the vehicle’s grand 45-ton hull with a horsepower/ton ratio comparable to that of main battle tanks. While the great size of the machine and the length of its immense gun obviously does not allow mobility comparable to tanks, this is still a very useful in terms of its mobility.

Protection: The hull of the vehicle provides protection against small arms fire and shrapnel. The crew cabin is entirely insulated and has positive-pressure NBC protection, enabling them to remain inside the vehicle for up to 3 days. Reloading using the automated reloading vehicle can be done without the crew leaving the vehicle at all.

Autonomous feature: The vehicle can be driven, fired, and reloaded entirely autonomously, without direct input from the crew. While such autonomous driving is only possible in simple road conditions (it is not recommended doing so in actual civilian traffic), it is entirely possible for the Hadur to be programmed to follow another military vehicle, or plot a course for it through terrain.

Sensors: The Hadur is equipped with a full-scale set of sensors, including both its own round-tracking RADAR suit, infra-red sensors for the drivers, short-range driving RADAR and cameras for its unmanned driving features, and a laser rangefinder for short-range engagements.

Ammunition:

It is not possible to provide here a full list of all the varied ammunition options that can be fired from a gun such as this. The main artillery shell types are however listed:

HE-F - This is a high-explosive fragmentation shell, utilizing the A-IX-2) explosive. Due to the high aluminum content in the explosive, the detonation is not only very powerful but also extremely hot (5000 degrees Celsius), tending to cause fires on impact if anything at all flammable or semi-flammable is available. The shell can be shot out to 40 km. Shell weight is 110 kg.

HEAP - High-explosive armor-piercing shell utilizing a copper liner, the 203mm shell is capable of engaging literally any vehicle it hits, and more importantly penetrating deep into concrete bunkers of various types, with a penetration capability of 6000 mm into concrete. If in some deranged universe this shell impacts a steel object it can penetrate 1800mm RHAe.

HE-F-R - This is a high-explosive fragmentation ramjet shell, similar to the above in principle, but utilizing less explosive (only about 13 kilograms of A-IX-2 are placed in this hell, as opposed to about 17.5 in the previous one). It can engage at up to 55 km.

Helldawn - the Helldawn munition, to put it simply, is a cluster shell with 100 small, parachute-retarded, dual-purpose submunitions. These are capable to fully blanket a single acre in their shrapnel, sufficient to injure any exposed infantry who happen to be standing in the area. [In theory, at least - in practice, luck, good defensive practice, and other items can still protect a man!]. Should the submunitions impact directly, they can damage lightly-armored vehicles.

Hellscythe - the Hellscythe carries ten skeet-shaped anti-tank munitions. As it detonates in mid-air, the munitions begin to rotate, their infrared and laser sensors seeking out vehicles below. Upon vehicle detection, the submunitions detonate, and fire explosive-forged penetrators aimed at the enemy vehicles’ roofs.

Hellspear - This is CANASS/GPS guided, high-precision shell, capable of engaging with a CEP of 2 meters to a range of 65 km utilizing a set of small winglets deploying in flight.
