Hello everyone, Free Terra here looking to try something new. So I figured I'd make a puppet to test in earnest. Maybe it'll stick. This RP will be a hybrid-narrative, following the overarching story of the freshly-established Terran Empire standing up to its violent neighbors and carving out its home in the stars, from the grand battles to political intrigue down to the smaller scale RP featuring individual characters and their actions.

As Always:

Rules!
1. I am administrating this thread. As a result, my word is the final say on whether or not something is acceptable in-universe. In addition, only I may approve members of the RP, but I'll keep an open mind.
2. No Godmodding, if I use a force barely numbering 100, kindly refrain from using overwhelming numbers as a response force. It is:
A: Unfair.
B: Illogical.
C: Just plain rude.
3. While I am open to more players, try not to invite your mega-alliances like Liu-Xiu and GESO. Too many members can ruin RP, I should know.
4. Remember to respect the lore and remember the start of this RP and its members. Play nice and I won't have to exclude anyone from this.
5. No Godmodding. Though it was said earlier, I have to remind everyone, including myself of this many times. If you think anything might border godmodding, check with me in this thread before you post.
6. Feel free to Telegram me with any questions on setting, in addition, those who want to play but don't want to have any risk of lost territory can offer to play an unoccupied NPC Nation, so long as they talk to me about any posts as such a nation beforehand.

Human nations wishing to join the thread should be aware that the Empire would be anywhere from imperious to antagonistic to outright violent towards any human nation that doesn't swear fealty to them.

In order to avoid a possibly-instant war, I would prefer alien species be used in RP.
(It's not like this is just my own glorified HFY story put into Nationstates... Nope, couldn't be...)
Before you ask, yes, I know it's a cop-out to avoid having to use the overdone-as-hell Fractal Earth thing.

I would allow this if you didn't devote such a GARGANTUAN number of soldiers, especially if your population is only 7 Billion. 550,000,000 Means that for each naval ship there is 10,000,000 ground troops to be deployed. Reduce that to a reasonable figure and I could accept it.

One major question: is your nation's capital Earth, which is already the capital of the Empire? If so, it would break continuity to accept.

One more thing... The Empire is actually the defending party against the other two major factions, unless it's intentionally misunderstood as part of the reasoning.

Yeah, not a problem. Sorry for the little slip up with the numbers, forgot to readjust amidst it.

Also, the capital would not be Earth. I was going for more of a cut off human exclave, based in a system called Draco, hence the name. It's a league based off anti-Terran empire sentiments, while also hating xenos for the whole 'kill all humans' thing. Does this work or no?

The reasoning would be accepted, I suppose, but you're still deploying 30 times the forces that Xianlong and I are.

Also, I hate to shill for my factbook, but I would ask you to give it a look-over. Preaching to the choir about the whole anti-xeno thing. I guess you'd technically be in the unaligned category, just hostile to pretty much everyone, haha.

EDIT:Now you're deploying only a 30th of the forces, but I suppose that you're accepted now that I can't poke any holes in your application without just being rude.

So I may be possibly interested, but I am somewhat confused. I think I gather that there is a brawl between two nations, the Terrans and the vassal Zel'am of the Velutarians. What I'm trying to determine is how other nations can be involved , especially aliens. Are you looking for supporting one side, the other and unaligned or something else?

Secondly, I tried to find your factbook but couldn't find it anywhere. Mind giving a link?

It's actually a 3(4 if you count independents)-way conflict, as the Zei'Am are fighting against their weakened masters (To great success, as the Velutarians are stretched thin by this point) and seek to prove dominance over humanity at the same time, inspired by their success against Velutaria. Essentially, Zei'Am is drunk on power thanks to defeating their overlords and think they can defeat the ones who did it first. The focus is to drift away from the NPCs as the thread develops and the NPC factions lose relevancy.

As for the factbok, I'm currently just noting this in the nation-page factbook gameside (https://www.nationstates.net/nation=glo ... l=factbook). I don't have enough in writing for the GTE Project to devote a factbook thread to it.

Ellian Doradus is a former colony of the Imperialist Republics, having since succeeded. They are no longer in any way related to the Imperialist Republics, Ella2 6 or the Starsailors' Dominion and is to be considered a legally separate entity and state.

Ellian Doradus is a relatively new nation that I have yet to flesh out. I'll try to keep everyone updated on my progress of developing this nation.

Very well-constructed application. I would like to know the finer details of the military deployment figures, i.e. manpower per military unit, how many vessels and of what class per fleet, but I can't find a reason not to accept.

Accepted. Think this RP may result in a full Imperial edict on how they view nearly-human races that have the same ancestor.

I will give you those figures, but I'm afraid I'll take a while. The problem is I used to RP as a 700 million population nation, but I can't seem to find my old files. I'll have to dig those up eventually.
