Main religion in your nation?
Most residents of Have Fun With It are Christians, whether Catholic, Protestant, or Unspecified. Proud Humanitarian Guy has declared this the national religion, and uses it in his rulings.

The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion?
Since the government is prohibited to ask citizens about religious beliefs, there is no way of knowing for sure. However, it's
I don't use NS statistics in regards to population.
, so it's not really hard to obtain accurate estimates on a casual basis. These estimates tend to hover somewhere between 90-95%.

How free is one to practice another type of religion?
As of right now, very free in regards to the law. Proud Humanitarian Guy does not believe in persecution based on religion, so there's no law stopping you. However, non-practicing residents and tourists may feel a bit at unease about the high population of Christians.

Proud Humanitarian Guy will be leaving office on March 15, at which point the liberal Jennifer Brown will start her term. Brown's reign may cause changes in this regard.

Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged?
Abortion is legal on the grounds that banning it will cause underground clinical abortions to become prohibitively expensive, and as a result, more dangerous methods will occur. However, it's very clear that abortion is not in the name of God, and is not government funded as a result.

Again, Ms. Brown's reign may cause changes in this regard.

Are terrorist attacks about religion common?
Not really. It's kind of tricky to physically get into HFWI. The only air access is from Maxtopia, so you have to fly there and transfer. Boat access is pretty similar. As a result, it's kind of viewed as not worth it to try to get in if you're just going to cause trouble.

How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there?
There's a small rate of the Order of Violet, estimated to be less than 1%, and another tiny following of a Zen based religion, also estimated at less than 1 percent. Neither one of these cause a whole lot of tension. I mean, there's the occasional issue, but you're always going to have that.

Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government?
Not as common as it is in other countries. However, it still is here, at an estimated rate between 2-10%. Government policy is sometimes dictated by Christianity, so it's definitely not supported. But they're more than welcome to stay.
Nation no longer reflects my actual views. And I don't do the above nation games anymore, so I can probably get rid of that disclaimer.

If I cross a line, telegram me. Chances are, I didn't realize it.

Main religion in your nation? The largest religion is Norse paganism, but most people are atheists who follow the Imperial Cult.

The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion? Less than 1% are associated with any of the traditional European religions (Norse, Roman, Greek, Slavic, etc...) or any of the forms of Buddhism.

How free is one to practice another type of religion? Only certain religions are legal. The most commonly practiced of the legal religions are the traditional European religions.

Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged? Yes, but it is uncommon. The government mainly uses it to prevent illegal births and in cases of rape. The government does not encourage its use among genetically healthy individuals, for it wishes to obtain the additional humans.

Are terrorist attacks about religion common? No, because religions that are likely to inspire such attacks are banned.

How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there? There is polytheism in the traditional European religions and there are the different types of Buddhism.

Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government? Yes. The government's official position is that there are no "God(s)". However, though the Emperor is often called a god and treated like a god, because of his great degree of power in the government, everyone still realizes that he is mortal and acknowledgement thereof is acceptable.

[NB: This overview is based on an antiquated continuity of Cosie, before its involvement with The Western Isles. The information below is non-canon and should not be referenced in official use.]

====

Main religion in your nation?
Currently, none. The native Qousiys have been subtly pushing Luqinsi as the nation's representative religion, though their efforts to make it official have been shot down many times by worshippers of other religions.

The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion?
  • 39.8% - Luqinsi, the Qousiy's animistic religion.
  • 33.0% - Lordism, a monotheistic religion brought to Cosie by colonist ministers, which many Louvians (and non-Louvians) continue to adhere to.
  • 17.6% - Freed Baptists, a syncretic mix of Lordism and a foreign polytheistic religion practiced by the Holleans.
  • 5.9% - Xi Worship, a polytheistic religion followed almost exclusively by the Chuan.
  • 1.0% - Atheism, a lack of religion mostly found in younger Louvians.
  • 2.7% - Miscellaneous, religions that are not included in the above results.

How free is one to practice another type of religion?
There is no law restricting one's freedom to practice whatever faith they prescribe to.

Cosian society, in general, is accepting of people converting to different faiths, e.g. the conversion to Lordism from Luqinsi or Xi worship. Freed Baptists tolerate Holleans who follow more mainstream Lordist teachings, though elder Xi worshippers frown upon Chuan who practice other religions.

Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged?
Nobody likes to talk about abortion around here, and the Cosians who do talk about it are adamant that it shouldn't be legalised.

Are terrorist attacks about religion common?
No terrorist attacks have so far been made in the name of any religion throughout Cosie's existence. The closest thing to a religious dispute affecting Cosian society was the civil unrest brought about early in the formation of the Freed Baptists.

How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there?
Luqinsi, Lordism, Free Baptists, and Xi worship are the most notable religions in Cosie as shown above.

Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government?
Atheism is a growing trend among young adult Louvians, though it's otherwise unheard of among other groups. The Cosian government has no stance on the matter.

Main religion in your nation? Weuh (but it's more of a mentality and ideology than a religion, so there are theistic, atheistic and agnostic people who all practice Weuh). If Weuh doesn't count as a religion, then Wiewawoe doesn't have a main religion.
The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion? Unknown, since there are rules prohibiting Wiewawoeians to discuss religions by name.
How free is one to practice another type of religion? It is illegal to name any religion or non-religion by name or be unfaithful to the mentality of Weuh. However, one is free to believe or not believe in god(s) as one pleases.
Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged? Abortion is illegal.
Are terrorist attacks about religion common? If terrorist attacks take place, they are never about religion.
How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there? Unknown. There are people in Wiewawoe who believe in a named religion (such as Christianity, Buddhism, Islam), but this is extremely rare and almost all of these people are either immigrants or members of the Ytera (rebellion).
Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government? The government is neutral towards atheism vs. theism (and inbetween things such as agnosticism and deism), but discussing and naming specific religions is illegal.

Main religion in your nation? Arachaean Pantheism and the Church of Arachaea both have around 23% of the population following. Arachaean Pantheism is a religious movement founded in Stelberg in the 1960's, which is a secular and humanistic movement that grew pour of New Left which stresses freedom, equality and a reverence for the environment around it's followers. The Church of Arachaea is a Protestant Christian domination which stresses Christ's teachings of social justice and has beliefs similar to the liberal factions of the Quaker movement in the USA and the UK. It, unlike other denominations of Christianity, takes a stance in favour of LGBT rights, and openly performs same-sex marriage ceremonies.
The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion? Around 23% each.
How free is one to practice another type of religion? Very free.
Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged? It's legal within the first 28 weeks, and the government's official stance is that it is a personal matter and should not be intervened in.
Are terrorist attacks about religion common? Nope.
How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there? Islam sits at 8%, due to immigration to Arachaea from the Middle East and Pakistan. Judaism sits at 5%, because many Jewish people fled to Arachaea in the 1930's and 1940's to avoid persecution by other governments. Other religions combined sit at 4%
Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government? People unaffiliated sit at 37%, which consists of both agnostics and atheists, as well as people who have beliefs but are not a member of any organised religion.

Main religion in your nation?: Kogyokist Christianity

The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion? 54%

How free is one to practice another type of religion? Yes, as long as it does not disrupt social harmony. By disruption of social harmony the law code means acts of violence or disgusting, dishonorable practices such as sex rites, etc.

Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged? Abortion in all forms is banned and punishable by death.

Are terrorist attacks about religion common? Very uncommon, as are religious tensions.

How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there? Over the centuries the Empire of Greater Nifon developed system of "incorporation" of religions, and current one is based on harmonous co-existence of Christianity, Buddhism and Tanzism. Amount of denominations, branches and sects from every religion is truly a testament to that policy - it is estimated that several hundreds religious groups operate actively in Nifon. 33 places in one of parliament houses are reserved for various clergy and it is not uncommon to see Kogyokist bishops, Catholic priests, Aravean Baptist ministers, Buddhist monks and Tanzist sages sitting together in one row.

Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government? Atheism is greatly ostracized by the Nifonese government, although not banned. Atheists can not hold public office due to their perceived "immorality".

Main religion in your nation? Cordisians don't really consider one religion to be the "main" one, but there are more Protestant Christians than other religions. The majority of the population (55%) is non-religious, however.
The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion? 35% of the population is Protestant.
How free is one to practice another type of religion? Completely and absolutely free. There are no apostasy laws and it is constitutionally banned to establish one religion as the official state religion.
Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged? Abortion is completely legal, and it is often encouraged in cases where the pregnancy is a danger to the mother, physically, financially, or otherwise. Contraceptives exist, but they are fairly expensive (aside from the ubiquitous condom), so more abortions happen in Cordis than pill-taking.
Are terrorist attacks about religion common? The Christian minority is often stereotyped as "a bunch of wild terrorists" by some parts of the population, due to fundamentalist Christians frequently engaging in terrorism in the parts of the country where they are more common.
How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there? As has been said, anyone can join any religion they want.
Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government? Cordis has a policy of state atheism, however people are free to build places of worship.

Main religion in your nation?
Forms of Christianity, with growing proportions of atheism.
The percentage of the population affiliated with the above religion?
Roman Catholic: 34%
Lutheran: 31%
Atheist, agnostic, or secular: 19%
Protestant: 11%
Jewish: 2%
Other: 3%
How free is one to practice another type of religion?
All citizens are free to practice any religion. However, the government (or what there is of one) provides little religious funding.
Is abortion legal and/or is it encouraged?
While abortion is legal, it is neither encouraged nor discouraged. Because of easy access to birth control and sex education (despite a large Roman Catholic population), it is rare.
Are terrorist attacks about religion common?
Terrorism is rare. When it does occur, it is usually perpetrated by nationalist groups.
How much types of religion, excluding Atheism and Agnosticism, are there?
There are four religions with members making up over 1% of the total population.
Is Atheism common and/or supported by the government?
Atheists make up between 10 and 12 percent of the population; however, since it is conflated with agnosticism and other secularism in official surveys, it is impossible to know precisely. It is neither supported nor discouraged.
