I don't think that's possible (keeping politics out of TET). I find the remainder of NSG to be off-putting at best. Political discourse in TET is over more quickly and with less rage and ire than, say, a megathread or other some such construct designed to reign in the uneducated sycophantic masses, true intellectuals, SJWs with chips on their shoulders, numerous and sundry good-natured persons, and random trolls. It feels, though my feeling could be incorrect, that at least in TET we're discussing with friends who aren't truly out to get one over on us but willing to entertain a discussion, laugh at a good fart joke, give encouragement to someone in need, and still manage to do this without falling, in general, to the disparagingly-low levels that some NSG threads have attained. Political discussion in TET is also funny because we don't care if you're from "the other side of the argument" providing you understand that we're just here to have fun and poke a little fun in each other's direction.

Also, never mod Ethel. I don't know if NS would ever be the same again!
