Personality: Originally a bit bubbly and altogether sunny, time in the marines (even f only just out of basic) has toughened her up, setting her to a mare pragmatic, down to earth girl while still maintaining her happiness. As of late though, that happiness has been hard to come by with the appearance of the end of days.
Bio (one paragraph at least): Growing up in her native Florida, Silvia was a bright young girl who liked to play in the mud and run around the neighborhood naked. As she grew older her parents began to move her to remote sections of the Southern state, hoping the serenity and calm would the girl in to something resembling a young lady. At 14 she dyed her hear a dark shade of red in defiance of her parents sending her to a boarding school in California. She would still go, but upon graduating she would pull off one last feet of defiance towards her parent: Enlisting in the Marines.

Being shipped off to 21 Palms quickly made her rethink her acts as she was faced with the grueling training and found her greatest test of endurance int he crucible of fire. None the less she passed and her family was a bit more relieved to see their daughter a bit more drawn and down to earth, though she kept the hair the same dark shade of red. She was stationed with the national guard regiment in Bismark when the infection spread and her Humvee was his by a tow truck in her squads vain attempt to escape the city. She awoke some hours later, still in the semi-burning wreck, and picked her way back to the small Guard base were she found it abandoned and pilfered what supplies she could before bolting off in to the surrounding woods.

- Winter gloves and hat
- A large backpack, containing:
- Several thermoses full of water to prevent freezing.
- A can opener, along with a few canned goods, mostly Spaghetti Os.
- 5 MREs, scavnged from the remains of an abandoned military vehicle.
- Walter PPQ M2 Navy, along with several magazines of ammunition, and a box of 9mm bullets.
- Knife
Personality: Tara is somewhat jittery by nature, and seems to have a hard time sitting down without fidgeting or doing something. Generally rather friendly, but has a problem with filtering, leading to her often seeming to be blunt or uncaring. Tara considers herself a woman of action and has very little tolerance for bullshit or subtlety as well, and generally doesn't approve of just sitting around and doing nothing.

Bio (one paragraph at least): Tara grew up in Toronto, Canada, and lived there for most of her life. She was something of a busy body, and mostly spent her time running, her only real passion besides a fascination with comic books. She was close with both her parents, and her life was pretty until she was 14, when her mother was found to be cheating on her father. This split the family straight down the middle, and her previously happy home devolved into one of constant tension that culminated in large shouting matches between her parents. Eventually, her mother moved out and divorced her father, leading to him falling into something of a depression by the time Tara was 15. She had to grow up, quickly, and much of her time not spent working on school work or at the track was spent helping take care of her dad. She graduated highschool, and began to attend University of Toronto, joining their track team for sprinting.

When she was twenty four, and the outbreak was in its infancy, a distant uncle living in Mandan, across the river from Bismark, died. Said uncle left everything to her dad, which wasn't much truth be told. Travelling with her father to Mandan to collect this stuff and facilitate burial, the two were trapped in the town when the outbreak began hitting its stride. As travel became restricted, she and her father rented a room in Bismark, hunkering down for the duration. The duration didn't seem to be ending any time soon, and as it became clear the military had little to no control over the situation, the two began making plans to make their way out of town. However, when the two were in an abandoned grocery store soon after the military pulled out, Tara's father went down a darkened aisle and just... vanished. Gone, like he'd never been there in the first place. Tara searched and searched, but it was clear she could no longer stay on the streets. Hunkering down in a second story apartment with a decent stock of food, Tara is currently doing her best to survive, and hopefully find her dad.

Strengths: Decent sprinter, and semi-decent shot with the hand gun. Tara is rather good at keeping her cool and planning out a trip to her best advantage.
Weaknesses: Not so quick to adapt to new situations if a plan goes sideways. Still somewhat shaken by the disappearance of her father, and her frustration with herself for not finding him manifests itself as concessional bursts of anger.
*Quirks:
*Likes: Comic books, dogs, sleep, and good food.
*Dislikes (don’t say “infected.” Trust me, I know your character doesn't like infected): Being wet, awkward silences.
*Worst Fears: Mice, spiders, and closed doors.
*Miscellaneous (anything else you’d like to add): Tara has punched a bird.

Name: Alexandr ‘Dmitrovich’ Soloviev
Age: 58
Sex: Male
Appearance:
Image
Equipment/Personal Belongings:
-Some limited first aid items
-Canned food
-Map of the general area
-Three cans of water
-Springfield Model 1861 Rifled Musket
-Bayonet
-Back powder and lead balls, paper cartridges
-His college diploma, framed
-Large backpack
-Assortment of kitchen knives
-Cutting board
-Small pan
-Various other kitchen instruments
-Toothbrush, razor, shaving cream
-Wallet with ID, credit cards, paper money
(He is quite overburdened with useless shit)
Personality: Alexandr enjoys a quiet life. He never married, never had children, just wanting to work, live, and do what he enjoyed most: re-enactment. Having an interest in civil war battlefields, Alexandr spent quite a few days in his basement, rebuilding large models of battles like Bull Run and Gettysburg. He is a quiet man, quite reserved, but never having an opinion against everyone. Somehow, he is elevated above the normal quarrels of man.
Bio: Alexandr Soloviev as born in Ukraine, in 1958. This being the height of the Cold War, he lived through a lot of hardships. His life was a reality of observing political dissent crushed, of seeing a dictatorial government crash down on all opinions deemed ‘other’. In Kiev, studying neurobiology and medicine, Soloviev just tried to keep mostly to himself and his studies, not interfering in any of the secret student societies that popped up through the east. After graduating from university, Alexandr realised what dire straits the USSR economy was in. He couldn’t find a job that could pay for his livelihood, and no pay check was enough to stand up to the time and effort he put in his studies. Instead, Alexandr fled the East, hopping over the Czech-German border in the 1980’s. From Germany, he fled to Britain, where he worked at various UK hospitals. After the fall of the USSR, Alexandr moved to the US, to Bismarck, where he wanted to live a quiet life.

As a neurosurgeon, he did quite well in Bismarck. He was totally above all political divides. Having lived in a true dictatorship, he cared little for Republicans and Democrats. Neither party really spoke to him. Instead, he focussed on his work, becoming quite well known throughout the Midwest for his professionalism and kindness. He performed many successful operations, and was leading in research in his particular field of neuroscience. He joined a local re-enactment society, as well as various historic reading groups. That is where he got his Springfield Rifle, which adorns the wall to this day.

When shit hit the fan, Alexandr tried to stay at home as long as possible. However, when the infected started approaching in ever-greater numbers, Alexandr knew there was no place for him in his home. He had to go. He packed all the stuff he thought would be useful, and set off for a better home, protected by others whom he could help.
Strengths: Is a neurosurgeon, who has a lot of experience operating on people’s brains. He knows what’s what in medicine, and is an excellent bayonet fighter. Speaks English, Ukrainian, Russian.
Weaknesses: He has no equipment to perform surgeries with. Neurosurgeons require a lot of complicated equipment, and Alexandr only has a scalpel on him. Besides, he is getting old, and his body isn’t as responsive as it once was. His eyesight has declined over the years, and he requires his glasses both for distance and for reading. His money is now worthless, too.
Quirks: He likes to sing civil war songs on the march.
Likes: Caviar, salmon, truffles, Ferrero rocher, re-enactment, civil war battlefields
Dislikes: Politics, loud music, shouts, hurrying, not being comfortable
Worst Fears: Never seeing the civilised world again, dying cold, hungry and alone.
Miscellaneous: The longer he travels without his neurological equipment, the more useless he feels.

Kentucky Fried Land wrote:Alright, I imagine he has a backpack as well, right? I'd add that in the equipment because I'm going to be pretty much taking stock of everybody's equipment. Also, that's a heavy load to carry around on his mountain bike. I'd take something out that you'd think isn't of importance (I'd personally pick the camping supplies and the maul or bow, since bows won't be very helpful during THIS apocalypse). I just don't think he could fit all that on his back without tipping over every time he tried to ride his bike.

Other than that, I didn't find anything wrong with it other than a few grammar mistakes. Him killing some kid is a bit iffy, but it's not causing your character to be denied. So, just fix the equipment I guess.

I imagine my guy would be living in his house's basement so that is where most of that would be stored. Camping supplies varies from a tent, to a compass, to some blankets. I'm mulling over getting rid of the bow and replacing it with something lighter like a sling. Not gonna have a gun though, doesn't comply in my eyes with the bad boy scout aesthetic i'm sorta going for with this guy. In a way he is supposed to be a little like me having an interest in primitive skills which includes weaponry. I'll replace the maul with a hatchet though, more practical.

The killing in question was in self defence, he has a bad reputation and has a tendency to piss people off so it wasn't too surprising. He's not a sociopath though, doesn't feel exactly guilty since the guy was an asshole, but still.

If he's just got all this stuff in the basement of his house, then that's cool. As long as his house is in Bismarck, Accepted.

But, there's really nothing wrong with the app other than a few typos, so Accepted. Just fix a few of the grammar mistakes and delete the stuff in parentheses and you're good to go.

Also, we have a lot of male characters. Seems we have the opposite problem from The Last of Us: Exodus and Galdius' Delta Green.

A crime of passion is a violent crime that happens in the heat of moment. For example, say a man comes home one night and finds his wife with another man, then kills that man. That is a crime of passion.

Now, if the man had planned out the elaborate death of his wife's lover, then it would be premeditated and therefore NOT a crime of passion. Crimes of passion are typically a little more empathetic, as it was just basic human nature lashing out, rather than a sociopathic scheme to kill somebody. Does that all make sense?

Done.

Alright, cool. I like the whole "40 Year Old Virgin" thing going on. Accepted. Also, I assume he has a backpack on him, right? I'd just add that to the equipment when you get the chance.

To Parcia and Uthary, pretty much what Galdius said. Also, delete the parentheses, please.

Gonna update the roster soon.

Equipment/Personal Belongings: .45 handgun (7 bullets per magazine, currently carrying two magazines), pocket knife, matches, small first-aid kit, old blanket, silver cross necklace, English-Russian dictionary, Orthodox Bible, black knapsack
Personality: Easily warms up to others; likes to talk; can take and give orders, but doesn't like being told what to do by someone he feels is incompetent; nerdy.
Bio (one paragraph at least): The son of an Eastern Orthodox priest and a cashier at Barnes and Noble, Jakob Kynev was an average student who avidly participated in debate clubs and his church. While not overly religious, he turns to it frequently for personal guidance. After graduating high school, he felt going to college would be a waste of time and money, and began doing various jobs around Bismarck before opening his own bookstore. He at first doubted the infected incidents, but after witnessing someone turn (and shooting them promptly), he had no more doubts. Once electricity shut down, Kynev hunkered down in his shop, wondering if it would pass, but, it didn't. Low on food and resources, Kynev left his store, hoping there'd be other survivors in the area.
Strengths: Shooting, leading, intelligence, bilingual.
Weaknesses: Easily frustrated, strikes people if they don't listen, refuses to keep friends separate from colleagues.
*Quirks: Kynev will tell you random facts about anything when he's bored.
*Likes: Coffee, books, chocolate, debating.
*Dislikes: Spiders, arrogance, cold-heartedness, stupid people in general.
*Worst Fears: Being completely alone for long periods of time, worse yet, dying alone.
*Miscellaneous: He's a hugger.
RP Examples: In this RP, I played President Erdogan., In this RP, I played a younger Muammar Gaddafi.

The only issue I see is the ammo count. So far the OP hasn't been to keen on letting guns have a bunch of ammo. Probably need to cut it down too a magazine or two of ammo.

What Insaeldor said. She has a LOT of ammo. Probably should cut down to around 5-15 bullets, honestly. The survivors will find some more ammo eventually, but for now (and the majority of the RP) there will be a heavy emphasis on horror.

Seems like a nice casual RP.

Name: Walter Roge
Age:16
Sex: Male
Appearance: Light bronze skin with a small afro he stands at an amazing 5'4 sporting a stocky frame of 160 lb. On much of his body and especially within his arms and torso one will find a rather impressive array of scars, burns, and old bruises. A testament to a rather rough upbringing. One will find a distinctive lack of piercings or tattoos, not his style, and the fact that his attire is usually rather simply composed mostly of polo shirts and mildly baggy jeans.

Equipment/Personal Belongings:
- Hatchet
- Hunting Knife
- homemade Self bow
- Quarrel of Stone Arrows(24)
- Bottle of Poison
- Wool Cap
- Leather Jacket
- Christmas Sweater
- Spare Clothes
- Boots and socks
- Basic Camping supplies
- Mountain Bike w/electric motor
- Trumpet
Personality: Kinda of an asshole overall, the term hard to love is sorta an understatement. He has never been really close with anyone let alone his family. Family conflict came from a variety of sources. Part of it had to do with his general lack of motivation and care, No matter how much his parents prodded he just didn't get involved in anything really. Sports were a bust, despite his love of camping boy scouts didn't pan out at all, and he never got into any clubs or other school social functions. Heck school in general has not been an amazing endeavor with him constantly getting into fights and his consistently subpar grades. He was a kid who was on a path to nowhere and everyone around him knew it. He in a way has attempted to rectify this in the past by ending this worthless charade and taking a step to the other side with the earliest of these date back to when he was only 8 and this has unsurprisingly led to some strain especially with his father who still cared to some degree.
Bio: Born and raised in California coming out here roughly a year ago with his family. A loner at heart since Walter was young he has always had difficulty fitting in and things didn't change much when he arrived here. At best he has been able to accumulate a few acquaintances here and there before things went to the gutter. When the epidemic started coming around Walter didn't think too much of it. Sure he occasionally checked the news or chatted in some forums online but honestly it was mostly at the back of his mind. He continued as is spending a good portion of his time honing his skills going camping out on the weekends and chilling in the wildlands around. After coming back home from a recent camping trip he found a rather strange sight. Making his way through he saw a rather chaotic scene of fighting and looting far worse than he remembered and when he finally went back home it was abandoned with his family nowhere to be seen.

Alone and on his own Walter has for the past few months spent his time hiding in his basement, he having abandoned the upper floors long ago for being too exposed, only occasionally leaving to search for supplies. though he has contemplated leaving the city to get away figuring his chances out in the boonies would be better he understands such a thing would be unfeasible in winter and without a lot of prep. So he decided to wait figuring it would be best to stay in a place that he knows best. Thankfully he has been able to mostly avoid hostile groups and the nightmares that lurk in the night, though he most certainly has had an encounter or two. This hopefully is proof that maybe just maybe he could survive it out despite being a lone wolf. His only hope is of possibly riding it out and the fact that he is still living may be proof of his chances. Hopefully.
Strengths:
- Foraging(Fishing, Gathering, Trapping) for food
- Decent Cook
- Can start a fire with some sticks if he had to
- Knows some basic wilderness/urban survival
- Of sound mind
- Decently healthy
- Good Fighter
Weaknesses:
- Poor endurance
- Bad social Skills
- Lack of a strong social network
- Poor reputation
- Quick to anger
- Comes off as cruel
- Hates the cold
- Plenty o phobias
- Mildly Suicidal
*Quirks: Little bit of a clean freak, bad temper, abrasive,
*Likes: Quietness, safety, reading, primitive skills, history, music
*Dislikes: Large Crowds, long conversations, being touched, stupid people, mathematics,
*Worst Fears: Aquaphobia, Arachnophobia, Glossophobia
*Miscellaneous (anything else you’d like to add):
- What led to Walter's family moving to the middle of nowhere was a specific incident where a couple of other boys jumped him on his way home. He drove them off but not without killing one of them. It was determined to be in self defence so he was let go but still it left a stain which got his family to move somewhere far away, specifically to his stepmothers home town of Bismarck. At this point they mostly just gave up on the kid not really caring anymore; it's not really surprising that when he arrived home to find them all gone he didn't fret too much and to this day has little interest in finding them honestly.
- Family composed of his father, his older brother, his stepmom(called her DDR = daddies dick rider), and 4 younger step sisters.

What Insaeldor said. She has a LOT of ammo. Probably should cut down to around 5-15 bullets, honestly. The survivors will find some more ammo eventually, but for now (and the majority of the RP) there will be a heavy emphasis on horror.[/quote]

Fair enough! Let's go with 12 lose bullets, and one extra already loaded magazine. Sound okay?

Yeah, I can live with that, since the bullets aren't very powerful. Accepted.

I edited it to give a number. And thanks. :)

If you edit it down to maybe one and half magazines to two magazines, and then you should be all set to go.

Say hello to the most charming sociopath in the world (and somewhat creepy). Also, yes, I used Aaron Hotchner (Played by Thomas Gibson), from Criminal Minds, as the sociopathic murderer. Sue me.

Name: Jonathan "Jon" Briggs
Age: 28.
Sex: M.
Appearance: Jon.
Equipment/Personal Belongings:
  • Stolen backpack
  • Clothes
  • A knife/shiv/shank

Personality: Jonathan Briggs is what many consider to be a sociopathic individual: he is charming, manipulative, and has no care for "right" or "wrong" ; whatever benefits him the most at the time will be the course of action taken. Of course, Jon does keep some friends, but very very few.
Bio: Jonathan Briggs, son of Thomas and Julia Briggs, was a child who grew up in an impoverished neighborhood in south east North Dakota. Jonathan could never seem to get anything right; he was always beaten by his father for one reason or another. This, coupled with severe bullying and isolation, and the fact his mother didn't do anything to help him (often for fear of being beaten herself), had to deal with being beaten up throughout his childhood. Eventually, Jonathan snapped. He, in a fit of rage, killed his entire family.

Jonathan has been in prison since; although, he is charming and friendly, easy to like. Under the surface, however, is a very dangerous person who can - and will - kill someone if it becomes the necessary course of action. Jon, during his time in prison, managed to befriend many people. However, it was an act to attempt to escape. Of course, that would prove unnecessary, as the apocalypse was suddenly upon the world. Jon used the opportunity and chaos created to escape from the prison; now that he's free, he will do anything to ensure his own survival.
Strengths: Intelligent, fit, manipulative, charming.
Weaknesses: ASPD, OCD, sometimes a bit short-tempered.
*Worst Fears: Extreme fear of having no control, e.g. being caught without a way to defend himself or being caught and restrained.
*Miscellaneous: Jonathan may or may not suffer from various mental illnesses, aside from his obvious (and sometimes violent) ASPD.
RP Examples: KFL, Corrian. You guys know me, man! If you really need one, I'll add one, but I'm a friend, right? You guys can trust me.

So, just cause it hasn't exactly been covered yet, what are the Infected like? Basically 28 Days Later zombies, or more vampirish, or what?

Also no. Military didn't bring tanks and heavily armored vehicles to North Dakota. A SWAT van or military humvee would fulfill your needs for speed, but they'd also have to be non-working since gas stations ran out of gas during the initial panic. Also know that infected can easily break into either one of these.
I don't know what I'm s'posed to do.
