Imperials used to not exist either. Khajiit used to look human, and orcs were just enemies in Arena.

Think I'll do Stormcloak this time. Used to always go Imperial, but I find myself becoming more and more sympathetic to the Stormcloak cause.
Also, since I built my house in Morthal when I last played the game years ago, I think I'll build mine in either Dawnstar or Falkreath. Anyone have any opinions about those build sites?
Oh, and are Dawnguard and Dragonborn good? Never got them on PC.
I like Falkreath the most. It's very green and has a nice view made better with a few mods.
Haven't played much of DG or DB, though.

I usually do dawnguard at various points alongside the main story and then finish it about half way through.

It kind of sucks how little the end of the civil war changes the game. Some people comment about it, but many still act like it's still going on. Not being able to get rid of the last Imperial/Stormcloak camps is also annoying.

I wish the civil war was more developed, definitely one of parts of the game i was disappointed in.

Oblivion has better sidequests in my opinion, and sidequests are a huge part of TES.
And although it has arguably worse Destruction spells, it beats Skyrim in almost every other school of magic, especially Alteration.
I don't really have any other reasons. I like the magic and sidequests more.
That's about it.
And Oblivion also had Sean Bean.
But I do play Skyrim a lot more nowadays because of my newly obtained access to mods.

If Bean didn't die in it, he doesn't count.
Does he?

I like the Dawnstar house. All snowy and stuff.
Dragonborn's great. You get Solstheim, a bunch of new questlines, and a much better antagonist than Alduin. Dawnguard doesn't add as much, but the quest is good. The constant vampire attacks can get annoying, though.(two of them, in fact)
