It is just the same thing as when Obama won, people were brainwashed into thinking that he was the Devil and so everyone was panicking about how America was doomed. Now with Trump it is the same thing, but with the political ideologies switched.

As a viable threat, yes, that is a concern. What am I referring to in my post? The idea that Socialism and Soviet ideals will save us. I will gladly point you to history where it has a more important say in the matter.

Sort of. There's no real evidence that he's any more racist than any other seventy year old man. Or sexist for that matter. And he's probably pretty moderate on LGBT issues.
Well, unless you accept dog whistle theory, but that's nothing more than the left-wing equivalent of birthers arguing that Obama's [x] is a secret shahada intended to signal his legions of Islamist sharia law supporters, and with about as much evidence.

So your thoughts?

Most millennial voters have only lived under Democratic presidents.

Usually Millennials are considered those who were born from the 80's to 2000. The older crop grew up with Reagan and Bush Sr. and came into adulthood under Clinton and Bush the Younger. Those born in the 90's barely remember Clinton and grew up under Bush 43 and Obama. The only people who lived under only a Democratic Presidency would be those born post-2008. Those who only remember Obama I reckon were born around '05.

Some people fear that Trump marks the end of American democracy.

Unfortunately, he rose to power because the system worked exactly as intended. Rural America spoke, and now we can at least know that, yes, shockingly, your vote does actually matter.

The Republican hegemony in the government is unfortunate, yes.

The fact that I'm from Indiana and I get to have my garbage, white-trash state represented by a VP that thinks torturing gays is acceptable is unfortunate.

The fact that we have a bumbling caricature of our country for a president is unfortunate.

The fact that the worst aspects of American society are riding back into power on the coattails of a populist buffoon is unfortunate.

This whole thing sucks, but it's too early to say if we're going to die in nuclear hellfire, or from heart-disease or car accidents like we normally would.
