Demeterius wrote:"Lawthorn's careful. He wouldn't have brought you here if you didn't have something." Elizabeth continued to guide Matthew down the hall, "There's something in you. If Lawthorn thinks so, so do I." She sighed, turning to thank Aaron for the help, "He's a good man, it's just... well he's had a hard life, you see. Lost people..." Her voice trailed off, "He has powers though." She shook her head, smiling again. She leaned closer to her smaller group, lowering her voice, "Telepathy. Mind Reading and Control, so if you ever break the rules, be careful what you think about around him." She giggled, "Don't worry much about it. He's cool. This property used to be his before the attacks, part of it was a vacation home that was on the lot for years. The Army built the rest of the school, dorms, the gym, etc." She explained.
"And it's nice here. Last year it was quiet, a bit lonely at times, but we didn't have nearly as many people here. Still, it's nice, in that kind of way. Right me?" Suddenly, a second Elizabeth had appeared on the other side of Matthew. The second Elizabeth smiled proudly, "Oh yes, very right." She waited a moment before she laughed softly, and the version of herself that had been in it's original spot dissipated. "Teleportation and Decoy-Creation. It's great if you ever want out of a test." She said, reaching a set of double doors at the end of the hall. "Here we are."
Inside was a plain white room, large enough for several hospital beds, as well as a counter and cabinets covered in medical equipment. Posters of skeletons and muscle covered the wall, as well as 3D models. Two adults stood in the far side of the room, a young Asian woman in a pristine white lab coat, and a large muscular man in black, crew neck t-shirt, psitol harness and black cargo pants who was seeming to be a bit to close for the woman's liking. As the students entered, the woman looked up relieved, pushing past the man, "Ah, Elizabeth! Good to see you. And you, you must be new." She smiled warmly at the new comers, offering her hand, "Dr. Choi, pleased to meet you."
Meanwhile, out in the lobby, Thomas waited impatiently as the new students bustled around. One, had sat down close to the fireplace, seeming to relax by it's warmth. Grinning cruelly, Thomas starred at the flames until they flared brightly in a sudden flash, hoping to get some kind of reaction from the new student.
Aaron nodded along at Elizabeth's explanation of Dr. Lawthorn. He frowned at the mention of mind control. While he was sure that the man in charge of the school was nice, the idea of someone with mind control always made Aaron nervous. He was always afraid that someone would control him without him knowing, and that made him more nervous than normal.
When a second Elizabeth appeared next to the group, Aaron jumped at least three feet in the air, and while he would never admit it, he let out a small yelp of surprise while he did so. His face flushed red when he realized that it was just Elizabeth's power, and he let out an extremely forced nervous chuckle at her joke.
Upon entering the nurse's office, Aaron's face lit up. His father had been a doctor, so seeing places of medicine always felt familiar to him, like he was visiting his father at work. He noticed the nurse, Dr. Choi, introduced herself. Aaron timidly put his hand forward in response.
"I-I'm Aaron... I wanted t-to see what the nurse's office was like... M-my father was a doctor and... And...And I can heal people..." Aaron said, his voice getting quieter and quieter.
