Three states are voting on measures relating to the death penalty.

California: Prop 62 would eliminate the death penalty entirely. Prop 66 would keep it and make it harder for death row inmates to prolong their appeals.
Nebraska: Referendum 426 would reinstate the death penalty. The death penalty was eliminated by the state last year, the governor vetoed it, and then the legislature overturned the governor.
Oklahoma: State Question 776 would amend the state constitution, guaranteeing the state has the power to execute and choose the method of execution.

Go Prop 62. Prop 66 would be a poor consolation prize.

Assuming a rape consists of more than one "pump", such as it were, you would then end up with numerically higher amounts of rape per engagement. Driving up the total of reported rapes through statistical "analysis".

However, this not being the point of the thread, we'll just have to assume that no matter who is elected in the US it is unlikely that they will adopt Sweden's model.
