And how can you prove your experiment isn't real? Besides yours is less likely to be real since you didn't keep a running tally of all relevant data.

She has a school e-mail address... but I'd have to trust you not to reveal which school it is.

You should seriously consider reading more and writing less...Xerographica wrote:Earlier in the thread The Two Jerseys questioned whether my own classroom experiment was fake. So, you can't.
Well maybe Gallo could've made up a spreadsheet specifically designed to discredit his theory. But it is less likely to be fake than a string of anecdotes.
Maybe Xero shouldn't have admitted that he interfered in the experiment. That just loses all credibility for me.

I mean, I trust Gallo, myself. I personally would put my hands in the fire for him, sort to speak.
Xero could be telling me it's raining tomorrow and I'd have to look out the window.

Honestly I really wouldn't be surprised if your experiment is fake. So please prove that it isn't.
I asked The Joseon Dynasty if he would be willing to telegram you his e-mail address. He replied that he wasn't willing to. To be honest, I wouldn't be willing to telegram you my e-mail address either.
So how can you prove that your experiment isn't fake? Well... why is the psychology professor conducting the experiment? For shits and giggles? Or does he plan on publishing a paper on the experiment? Clearly if he's planning on publishing a paper on the experiment then the paper will be more than enough proof that the experiment was real. Of course, if he does publish a paper... then we'll all know exactly who he is anyways.
It makes sense for you to hide his identity if he's not planning on publishing a paper on the experiment. Of course, it also makes sense for you to hide his identity if he doesn't actually exist.
Earlier in the thread The Two Jerseys questioned whether my own classroom experiment was fake. I think my reply was that Michelle had shared plenty of other photos of her class. If the The Joseon Dynasty had corresponded with your professor... and the professor was using a college e-mail address... then I probably would have trusted the The Joseon Dynasty's verdict regarding the existence of your professor.
Have you asked your professor whether he would be willing to give me his e-mail address? Of course if your professor isn't real then you can say that you did but he conveniently said no.

She clearly didn't say that if you read Gallo's response carefully.
What she said was that because your blog is not a blog which is getting paid, it's not exactly doing anything illegal. She never said anything about it being "fair".
Your move is not covered under fair use doctrine, but it also doesn't run afoul of the law. So you're lucky.

Take it or leave it. You can stick your head in the sand if you want to, but that's your call. I didn't do this for you anyway. I find human behavior to be fascinating, and I wanted to know, when presented with a gamable system how long it would take people to hopelessly break it.

That's what your issue was? That I failed to adequately compensate you for your spreedsheets? If this is truly your issue, then why did you fail to say so before?

So you're not at all interested in proving that your experiment is real?

Did you even give me credit for the concept of coasianism and the specific idea for the experiment? I obviously gave you credit on my blog for facilitating the experiment.
It's not so much that I need the credit... it's just that I wouldn't be surprised if your own behavior is entirely hypocritical. Of course, the only you could actually prove that you did indeed give me credit would be if the professor himself told me that you did.

That's gotta be satire.
