Our country is facing austerity and constant cuts to public services. But can't let a multi-billion pound football club pay for their own bloody stadium, that's something for taxpayers to bear.

I presume the thread is in this state because there is relatively little to discuss? (and also because of other reasons). Its not like British politics has actually had much happening recently, espcially not since May's de facto rejection of the grid system. So we either get tired Brexit debates or whatever the fuck this is.

Well, Brexit aside, there is much for the government to be doing. Me no like this status quo, because instead of improvement, we mostly just get mismanagement and statements so vague the words are literally transparent. Also, that shitstorm in the media concerning migrants, Brexit and patriotism, just perpetually brewing itself like a good storm of clusterfuckery.

I am, actually. Although frankly I don't stay long in any general thread aside from contributing brief opinions - I am not well versed in the art of NSG-ing. But good day.

In that case, I might stress that there are reasons why certain posters' tempers have frayed. I myself would probably be in the same situation, but I've tended to stick away from this thread recently for that very reason. Naturally this doesn't excuse their actions, but I very much sympathise with why they are angry.

We're going to dedicate all our resources towards developing an AI capable of running the nation. Then we're shutting down the government and letting the AI take over. That's what I want to be done.

Lawmaking has the unfortunate distinction of being both tedious and perilous. Its so very hard to predict what laws might actually be used for, and then account for all the negative possibilities.

If we got to be 3rd or 4th most rich i'd give a speech wearing a robe and channel palpatine about how the united kingdom will be reorganized into the third british empire!!!! alongside announcing mars colonization goals.
