Alrighty, as part of the new thread, I've been working on the creation of what I'm calling "The Pub Advisory Board. To explain it simply, members can choose to join one of three sections of the Advisory Board.

Writing Advisors: Basically what it says on a tin. You can apply as a general writing advisor, or you can specialize in a particular field such as science fiction or drama. Already got a few people gunning for this, so get in while you can.

Openings:
• General Writer Advisors
• Worldbuilding Advisors
• Nation Advisors
• Action / Adventure Advisors
• Drama Advisors
• Science Fiction Advisors
• Horror / Thriller Advisors
• Political Advisors
• Future-Tech Advisors
• Modern - Post-Modern Tech Advisors
• Superhero Advisors

Utility Advisors: The idea with this is to create a base of individuals who can provide banner art, rosters, maps, the works. Anyone with artistic ability, really. My preference for this is to have at least one person for a particular field, but having too many people in this group isn't as much of a problem.

• Banner Artists
• Cartographers (Map Makers)
• Roster Creators
• Flag Artists
• Pixel Artists
• Other Artists

Internal Affairs: This is replacing the previous laissez faire approach to self-moderation. Basically, Internal Affairs is the official leadership of the Pub. This is going to be relegated to members that have been here the longest, with a preference for folks that have stuck around since the beginning. The idea is to have a small group of people policing the thread to keep the shitpost swarms to a minimum and to keep moderation's nose out of our business by ensuring the thread stays as nontoxic as possible.

• Internal Affairs Officers (Max of Four)
• Applications Supervisors (Max of Two)

In short, nothing much is really changing. Moreso just evolving to provide more services to those who might become involved and those already involved.

I'd be willing to fill in as a future tech adviser, nation adviser or MT adviser.

So I am working on a film noir rp set in the 1920's called Hot Lead and Cold Hearts, it will go up when my current rp ends, but i have a couple others planned: Welcome to the City, which will be a modern neo noir rp set in the same city as the above and may be a continuation of it, and it will be a bit like Sin City, As well as Beneath the Shadows, name pending, which will be a modern supernatural noir type rp also set in the same city.]

What advice would you guys have for creating a city for such purposes?

I have a bit about it, such as: It was founded in 1803 started as a trading post and timber hub, then with the mass immigration and full use of the waterways in the US, it changed. It is along the Canada-Pennsylvania border and close to several rivers in northern Pennsylvania. During the 1920's as well as a few other periods afterwards it has experienced periods of heightened crime.
