Day 1-3: Captain Nemo
Seine and Alabastor took a taxi to the city of Savastad. They intended to take either a boat or an airship down to the Traansval and move east from there or the Imperial Warglorian Empire and move east from there. Savastad was a port city, located in Eglise Sainte Even, and the navy along with the aerial fleet, which was only commercial, was lively. They decided to go for the more unorthodox route, and take the airship. They reached a nearby airfield, where they saw no airships but one. The captain sighed. The two compatriots looked at each other, then nodded. They approached the captain.

"Good day to you, monsieur. My name is Seine Passepartout. This is my master, Alabastor Fogg. We are looking for an airship to travel to Wargloria or the Traansval. May you aid us?"

I have heard about your son's wedding, and I would like to pay a visit on behalf of Rannoria, myself, and Sios Adance.
It is okay if I cannot come, but I still ask.
May I?
Sincerely, Maestoso Mios Askwell of Rannoria

Ambassador Fredrick looked over the revised treaty proposed by the Eakan Delegation

Ambassador Fredrick: Well then. On behalf of the Traansval and the Entente, we find this Treaty to be satisfactory. And as such, we shall sign.

Fredrick and his Embassy Staff moved forward to sign the treaty, and passed it to the Eakans.

With that over, Mister Guliver decided this was time for him to chip in his part.

Mist Guliver: Gentlemen, once you are done signing, i wish to propose the Treaty of Eakan Free Trade

Treaty of Eakan Free Trade

Article 1: A official Guateng Merchants Guild Trade Route shall be established from the port of Salev to West Eaka. The Trade Route will be organized by the Guateng Merchants Guild, and protected by the Boer Naval Force. The Eakan Naval Force is welcome to protect the route as well, however it is not required

Article 2: All trade that will receive a Profit in Traansval Territory or Eakan Territory will be subjected to Free Trade, in which no Tariffs or Taxes will be placed on the Goods sold. The only exception being Article 3

Article 3: Any Coffee, Oil, Rubber, or Tobacco sold by a Individual, Group, or Entity within Eaka will be subjected to a 5% Tax, payed directly to the Guateng Merchants Guild.

"Well then, I will sign the treaty as well, on behalf of the Eakan Republic." Stated the Donsharo.

Von Carson and the rest of the Eakan delegation signed the treaty as it was passed around.

The Eakan delegation then looked over the Free trade treaty proposed by the Guatang Merchants Guild, carefully gazing over it for any deformitys and unwanted restrictions, however it was found to be satisfactory.

"Very well, we agree to this treaty and as such will sign." Said the Donsharo as he moved over and signed the treaty before passing it onto the rest of the Eakan delegation as well as the Traansval delegation.

Outside of the Office of Commerce and Trade CIS agents still observed the NAD agents now sitting in the coffee shop, however soon the call was made to apprehend the NAD agents for questioning. 2 unmarked automobiles pulled up infront of the coffee shop, soon a dozen or so armed Eakan Marshals exited the vehicles, with 5 entering the coffee shop and walking over to the NAD agents.

"Hello there sirs, we have orders to take you in for minor questioning at the station, if you will?" Stated the Lead Marshal

Mister Guliver: Wonderful! Gentlemen, we thank you for your time today. These treaties will build a new relationship between your great Nation, and the Republic of The Traansval and her allies. Not to mention the wealth that will soon flow into your country along the Trade Route, Spices, Tea, Coffee, and all other valuables will be sold to your people, and will boost your economy like never before!

Meanwhile, at the coffee shop.

Senior Agent Lincoln: We will come, but i don't see why we are being questioned. We are Diplomats of the Diplomatic Corp of The Traansval, sent here to staff the new Traansval Embassy...

The 5 Diplomats (NAD's) stood up to follow the Marshals.

Bhaarland, Entente Headquarters

General Monroe Bishop walked into the command tent and stood in front of the Boer, Arengin and other Entente officers.

"I have just gotten word of the broken treaty, and how a outnumbered Norcourtian army is stuck in the middle of the bloody fucking continent!, My men of the Aclusian Expeditionary force have been ordered by the supreme senate to pull out and to cut all Aclusian operation in the whole continent, we are needed for the final offensive to defeat Sylbania once and for all. Good day gentlemen"

Monroe told the officers and he saluted and walked out and begun marching with his men to the docks for redeployment.

The weekly long bombardment of the city of Veice was coming to an end, the city walls and outer defenses were the main target of the barrage, now the men were to prepare to go over the top of the trenches and advance with Landship support towards the city, capturing the outer trenches and establishing a perimeter inside the city where continuous staging points of attacks can break through the inner defenses, all of which are to be achieved today.

The officers came out of their dug outs and began to issue orders.

"Fix bayonets!" an officer yelled followed by many more.

The troops unsheathed their bayonets and were on the ladders, many knew that this battle would be fierce, some shaking from fear knowing they might not make it through, but it had to be done. after 5 minutes of silence, the whistle was blown, hundreds of whistles rang through the air as the men began to climb out the ladders and advance at a walking pace near the landships. The battle had begun.

Over 250,000 of the 2nd army and 7th cavalry division, as well as the 8th artillery battalion were being sent to Alefum. This was one of the best Arenginian armies. Many of them used Krnak rifles and many were special shell troopers. This would be a messy war. The entire army was commanded by experience commanders, veterans from the Carriebean war. This would be a messy war.

Even still people were eager to say goodbye to their soldiers.

The wedding was schedule for the day, Oswyn had arrived to the palace to greet the incoming guests and Martha was with Melissa getting her ready for the ceremony. Guests from Arengin were arriving now. The international leaders were schedule to arrive soon. Kruger was supposed to be the first to arrive from Traansval. Given that he was the father of the Prince's bride.

St. Osloverg, Royal Palace.

Mark Kruger arrived in his White Ford Model T Car, a favorite of his. In the car was his wife Sophie, and their 2 year old Son, Sios.

The three entered the large doors of the Royal Palace, which had become all to familiar from their frequent visits.

Inside, they were greeted by the Royal Family, and Melissia

Mark Kruger: MELISSA! MY OH MY HAVE YOU GROWN! You look so beautiful, i haven't seen you since your Regiment shipped out! Ah! And this lucky devil must be that foolish boy who dared to take the blame all those years ago! Come here young Nicholas, we are practically family now!

Kruger stepped up and embraced young Nicholas in a bear huge, Melissa swore she heard poor Nicholas's spine crack...

Mark Kruger: Oswyn! How are you old friend, it has been many moons since we have seen each other. I heard that the death of our old friend Sios has taken a toll on you, we tried everything we could but security at his prison was tight, all we could do was slip him a Weapon, and have a Agent assist him. I am deeply disturbed by his death, but now the Republic rules Rannoria once more.

Wilbert Had just entered the palace, he was seen out there with his Navy Blue Vauxhall-D Type.

As soon as he entered, he greeted the other saying loudly "Hello,Friends!"

It could be seen he was a bit old, with some of his hair white-colored.

The Battle for Veice City

The Veice Line

The Traansval

BAYONETS!!!

The battle for Veice had begun, the Aclusians had started their charge on the Front Gates of the city wall, and now the rest of the Entente Forces in Sylbania were going to swing around on the flanks of the City.

On the East, 30,000 Boer Troops, 20,000 Arengin Troops, and 5,000 Norcourtian Troops prepared to assault the East Gate of Veice City. The East Gate was protected by the River Ardon, but the tide was low so troops could wade across. To help the troops even more, Army Engineers had built Pontoon Bridges that would be rapidly deployed onto the river to get men across.

On the West, 40,000 Boer Troops, and 10,000 Arengin Troops prepared to take the Argonne Forest, which defended the West Gate. The Forest encompassed the entire West Flank of Veice City, and there was a open grass field between the City Walls and the Forest. The Sylbanians had deployed the Arditi, Elite Hunters that specialized in Forest Warfare and Guerrilla Tactics. The Sylbanians had also deployed the Elite 5th SA Division (The one adler used to lead) into the Forest, but mainly they were deployed there to destroy the Warglorian Foreign Legionaries.

The Armored Corp had deployed a large number of Vehicles for the battle. 50 BAV-1 Tanks would support the Aclusian Frontal Assault, which was currently underway. An additional 15 Tanks are deployed on the West Flank, in the Argonne, and 30 Tanks were deployed on the East Flank, near the River Ardon.

As the Aclusian went over the top, the men of the West and East Flanks waited for the Sylbanians to turn their attention to the Aclusian Charge, after a few minutes, Scouts and Spotters could see that the Sylbanian Defenders had moved to the Frontal Gate to defend against the Aclusians.

Now was the Time...

Whistles blew as the West and East Flanks roared to life, men climbing over the tops of their trenches and making their way towards Veice.

This news is most excellent, the Traansval is very interested in the development of these U-Boats. As for the "Pens" and other Centers, they would be perfect in the North Cape, which is also the base for the National Naval Drydocks and Dockyards.

The 13th Infantry division had arrived on Ester Island and deployed along the beachhead. The infantry formed a perimeter while the engineers set about constructing their initial camp, a large Jamestown style fort, built to house the entire force. The transports would sail home when the fort was completed but the task force would remain, permanently attached to the colony as Task Force 161.

Cavalry units began scouting across the island in Squadrons of 25 troopers. They were under orders to scout out locations for the other fortified towns, which would each house an infantry regiment, each with a squadron of cavalry and a detachment of artillery. The 13th division was different from all other divisions in that it only had field artillery rather than field and heavy. Without any heavy artillery, it was far more mobile and had far more guns, allowing each of the twenty fortified towns to have ten guns, all 76mm howitzers.

Their first first only took a few days to complete and then they startes on the others, expecting to complete them within three months. And, when the civilians arrived in three months time, they would find that they had access to simple housing, which could be improved at a later date.

Colonel Kaupyl was pacing back and forth along his tent when the lieutenant walked in.

"Sir, reports have been confirmed. We've seen a dozen platoons or so across the island, and our scouts have seen a massive fort constructed on the north end of the island. Manticore has landed."

Kaupyl let out a deep sigh before returning to his pacing. "It is as I feared, and as I predicted. Tell the Exploration Squad to pack up and prepare for departure. There's nothing that we can do now that wouldn't start a war."

Kaupyl paused. "With one exception. Lieutenant, I want the men to hack down as many trees as they can by nightfall. We shall load the cargo onto the ships and head for home. At night, we shall set fire to a part of the jungle we haven't burnt up. We shall sail away, and Ester Island, at least the southern part, will have lost its charm. See to it, lieutenant."

The officer gave a quick salute and hurried out to tell the men. Kaupyl paced out of his tent, muttering to himself, "God have mercy on us all."

The first experiments with self-loading rifles had begun. There were two main candidates, one was a recoil operated rifle, which used the force of the round leaving the barrel to push the barrel back, ejecting the spent cartridge on the back stroke and loading the new cartridge as it returned. The system was almost identical to that used in artillery, making it very familiar. However, it was complicated to maintain and had a terrible kick.

The other option was a gas system, using the pressure of the expanding gases released by the round firing to push the bolt assembly back towards the stock. Then, a spring in the stock would force the bolt back forward, loading the next round. This one was simpler, although it still possessed a hel of a recoil, largely due to the size of the round.

Carbine and pistol variants were also being developed and it was hoped that, by 1895, self-loading arms would be issued to all personnel.

OOC: Semi-Auto Rifles and Carbines are restricted to Elite Troops, or if a nation has a combined army under 380,000 they can issue it to all of their troops.

THE PREVIOUS ZJAUM NARRATIVE HAS BEEN ANNULLED, DUE TO A MISTAKE. IT HAS BEEN REPLACED BY THE FOLLOWING:

Background: The Zjaum Empire never knew about the Manticore ambitions. As a result, the Exploratory Brigade was never deployed, but the Gas Corps was sent to Maui to aid in development, in the instance that war was declared in the tense Norcourt-Zjaum relations and the newly-founded territories surrounding Maui were put in danger. Speaking of, the territories surrounding Maui were colonized in the search for new resources.

The following scene comes from a Zjaum corvette patrolling the trade routes between Europa (particularly Traansval) and Zjaum. This ship was given the secondary mission of exploring Nippon and Ester Island as suitable candidates for expansion.

Captain Kaupyl was standing at the bow of the K'shim-poia as the great ship turned about the great northern peninsula of Ester Island. He sighed; the exploratory mission was quite productive, but not a success. Nippon yielded no great bounty, nor anything in particular from the shore. Perhaps Ester Island would be different.

As the north side of Ester Island revealed itself, however, hope began to fill him and his crew. Lush, verdant greens, fertile soil next to warm sands, and a wide variety of beautiful colors filled the land. Yes, this would be a proper place to call home.

"Captain, I see something!" called the lookout.

"What is it?" Kaupyl shouted back, pulling out his telescope.

"Look at the far end, almost at the horizon!"

As he looked through his telescope, his jaw dropped. A fledgling town was being constructed in the distance. The groundwork and woodwork for a massive fort rose into place around its perimeter. "God bless me; have we been so blind as not to notice this?"

His first mate approached him, her hands clasped in astonishment. "Who do you suppose they are?"

"I can think of only two nations right now who have bases close enough to send such a mighty force here," replied the captain. "Manticore and Norcourt."

"Oh, those dastardly Norcourtians! They assault Volga for sport, and now they laugh at us here!"

"No, no, Zjopia; Norcourt is far too busy in their war to think of other things. Besides, if you see the building designs, it doesn't lead to that conclusion. No, I believe it is Manticore that has claimed Ester Island."

"Manticore! But Polynesia is our destiny!"

Kaupyl repeated the age-old Zjaumit proverb: "As an empire, she must grow; but better she be friend than foe." He responded more directly. "Manticore is not an enemy, nor is she a rival. We would be a foolish nation indeed to fight this nation over a single island. Perhaps we will send an emissary to this colony someday. And yet..."

He put away his telescope. "It is a shame, really. We had always thought Polynesia to be our birthright, and now Manticore has perhaps the most beautiful isle of them all. Let us return, Zjopia. Manticore has defeated us this day."

I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

I hail from The League of Conservative Nations. Hearts unthawed, hearts unshaken!

(Always something with you lot.)

About the Semi-Autos, I'd imagine they'd probably be carbines. Preferrably those firing pistol rounds.

Chapter: IV
Restoration
- Ep 7/To the Skies as the Seas Rise -

The Rannorian Airfield/Day 3 - To The Skies
"400 Banjopicks? That's rather expensive... but, it's the only option we've got. We're already here, might as well do it." Alabastor said. Seine paid them the money, and they moved into the ship.

"To Aclusian Rheinhalt!" Fogg announced.
Near the Coast of Lubezyk and Eglise Sainte Eve - Brewing...
It was the time of the year again. Around December to March, the tides rise for some odd reason in one of those three months. And for a week the seas rise and there may be a small flood. Though it was never a big issue. Dikes helped kept the tide from coming in, and they've been fortifying them for a while. But now, it's different.

The tide came in this month on January, just two weeks into the month. Normal, normal. The tide rose. Normal, normal. But, then, the unfortunate happened. The dike broke. Due to the dike being reinforced each year, it couldn't break due to age. No, it was the water. The water was strong enough to break a dike like that. The houses living on the dike fell under, the people to be lost in the riptide. The water broke in. The Delta region was flooded, and houses were broken. People died. Buildings collapsed. In the end, 100,000 people died.
St. Osloverg Palace - The Bells Ring... or not
Mios nodded, and followed the guard in. As he entered the palace, he was amazed. How grand everything was. Sure, Zee Prlmnt may have been grand, but this was majestic. On another level of grand. The Rannorian parliament was made mostly of wood and stone, but this... not so much. He continued following the captain.

Royal Palace

The captain guided the young Mios and eventually they came across Oswyn and the others. Oswyn immediately gor up from his seat to greet the man.

"Askwell. You come just in time. We are heading to the ceremony in a couple of minutes. You must join us."

Streets of St. Osloverg

People gathered in the streets as the Royal and Kruger families, couple, and invites paraded through the streets. This was called the matrimony walk. A tradition in Arengin where the soon to be wedded, their families as well as invites would walk their way to the place where they were to marry.

The parade continued as thousands celebrated, throwing flowers and colored ribbons. Melissa and Nikolai were in their separate carriages with their families. They both waved to the Arenginian people. Even some Boers in the mix.

Guardsmen as well as soldiers marched chanting in the name of the king and in the name of the couple. The streets were lighten up with happiness and joy.

Soon the parade stopped at the Cathedral. The famous Sudinki Cathedral. A rather old structure that had served as the primal place of gathering for all Orthodox Christian Arenginians. A beautiful place, decorated with delightful windows of different colors as well as echoing atmosphere.

The wedding was underway. Melissa was taken to the backrooms for the last touches. Nikolai then waited at the altar, alongside his closest friends, many were military officers and young politicians. He seemed quite happy but composed himself as his father came up to him.

Oswyn took hold of Nikolai's hand and looked at him in the eyes. Oswyn was already in his early 60's but kept on that postured of a leader, a soldier, and a father. He had shortened due to his developing arteritis, but he still hold on to his sons hands.

"Son... I still remember when you were no more than a year old and I had you in my arms. I've seen you grow and develop. I'm... I'm proud of you." He smiled.

Nikolai smiled back and gave his father a hug. Oswyn hugged back.

Mios nodded and sat down next to Oswyn. He looked to the parade and smiled as he saw Oswyn and Nikolai hugging.

He then decided to ask a question. "What did you think of Sios?"
