Far From Home

Introduction:

Hello and this is my first attempt at a rp. I made this since I noticed a lack of Science Fiction rps and rather than wait for one I like, I made one. Any ideas or helpfully advise is welcome and here it is.

Background information for humans

By 2100 mankind had discovered how to move between the stars after discovering the jump drive and had colonized several star systems by 2115. Earth had united under the United Earth Alliance or Alliance for short. There was peace for hundred years till 2195 when war started between the Alliance and the froniter worlds that wanted Independence. The war lasted for five years and ended in a Alliance victory. Up till now, there has been no sign of sentient alien till the frontier planet called Agria was found in 2200. On the jungle planet, surveyors found what appears to be an alien ruin and a research team was sent to investigate. While they were studying the ruin, it activated. Seemly by random and the research team was teleported to another world and seem to have to have no way to return home. But, the humans were not the only ones teleported to the world and the stranded have to help each other to escape the planet and return home. But, the planet has it own dangerous surprises and uncovering the mystery of the planet may help with their survival.

Overview:

So you can either play as a member of the human research team or as a alien that was either teleported too or became stranded on the planet. Your goal is to find other stranded people and work together to find a way off the planet and survive the local wildlife and lingering automated defenses around the planet. As of now your character will start in one of three starting zones which I will decide where your character ends up based on your app. If you are teleported to the planet then that means you were around or in contact of the similar alien ruins that teleported the human research team.

Unknown Planet

The unknown planet which characters will find themselves is a temperate planet with multiple biomes that range from large jungles to remote polar regions. The planet is littered with abandoned buildings and even cities. Though some of these buildings are still guarded by automated defenses and either lay dormant or are active. The cites are centered in the deserts of the planet which lie in the middle of the planet in comparison to the starting zones.

Tech

While the Aliens tech can vary from primate spears to plasma rifles. The humans tech is advanced ballistic gas-operated magazine-fed weapons. Powered armor which goes from light to heavy armor. Vehicles like cars are hovercrafts and have mechs. Has Interstellar travel without the use of cyro chambers. Has limited terraforming capacities and have advanced AIs.

Also, due to a magic user being accepted. I will allows some more magic users in this rp. Three slots for magic users will be available for now and they can either be reserved or taken on a first come basis. I would ask that if you make a magic character that you not included demons in your magic.

Occupation: Commander of The Fifth Nitomian fleet

Background: Kegan Kruvok IV was born as Ethan Kruvok into a noble house in Rumek. Since he was a mere five years old he was trained in military and economic strategy. His purpose in life was to succeed his father and become the commander of all Nitomian forces. Though he would be in competition with his twin brother Michael Kruvok and younger brother Stephen Kruvok for the family name. He soon showed promise as a commander in mock battles and was given control of a single light cruiser at the age of thirteen. He participated in several battles, eventually out shining both of his brothers and was given control of a Socrates class dreadnought at age twenty-five. At age forty, he was given control of the Fifth Nitomian fleet and ordered to go to the Milky Way Galaxy to relive the eighty second fleet that was stationed there.

Sixteen years later after several military victories in the outer edges of the Milky Way, he was sent off in a Persius class light cruiser to offer a planet the option to surrender. In route to his destination the ship detected an anomaly and dropped out of FTL to run a full scan of the signal and run an diagnostic test on the ships scanners. However, when the ship dropped out it was too close to a supernova that had occurred the second the ship dropped out of FTL. The ship immediately jumped back into FTL but the drive was effected by the supernova and the ship was sent off course and exited above a planet. With all systems down the ship began to rip apart due to its speed and part of it crashed into the planet while the rest headed straight for the sun. Luckily, Kegan has his protective suit on and managed to survive the crash, but he was alone and unconscious. His suits AI soon began to repair his body and moved him to the hibernation chambers which still had power. It would take weeks to fully repair his body to the point of being able to survive out here.

I am hoping that magic can be a thing

Name: Azjeel the Warlock
Gender: Male
Species/Race: Alkurian/Arakorian
Age: 250
Appearance: He is also around almost 9 feet tall
Personality: A figure of defiance and scientific innovation, Azjeel will never recognize authority when he views that they are not fit to rule over him or if they are wrong in his perspective. He is also very inquisitive and will never back down against any new opportunities. He is also willing to cross moral borders for the sake of scientific advancement, which earned him the title of Warlock.
Occupation: Grand Consul of the Imperial Court and Scientist of Tresh-Alkir
Background: Azjeel was hatched within a colony of workers, much to the astonishment of the Overseer of the region. He was then sent to the Oratorium, where the intellectual castes are stationed, raised and trained. There he learned the arts of the mind, the currents of the Arcane Blood of Krezoth, the stately matters, and the sciences.

It was a bloody ordeal he had to face. He was met with scorn and hostility by his peers and teachers and he was often beaten to submission when he cannot learn his lessons. However, he wanted to prove himself worthy of praise and let the beating and sharp words pierce him. He was often criticized of his control of the arcane energies but found that he can easily control soemthing seen as heretic and forbidden. The nether energies are akin to dark energy and anti matter and seen by the Arakonia as a vile substance in the universe. They are usually synonymous to death, dread, and the dark beyond, the eldritch monsters of deeper space. But he focused on this, gaining more criticism but with it recognition.

As he worked his way towards the top of the ladder, he focused upon the ancient civilizations that the Arakonia outlived. He used the nether to open their secrets, to defile the sealed chambers buried for eons, and even do what the intellectual class thought was impossible and most certainly taboo, revive what was long dead. Soon the name of Azjeel the Warlock was associated with disgust and fear, something that the Empress of Tresh-Alkir noticed. He was raised to the position of Grand Consul, one of the most prominent political figures of the Empire, and brought forth cracks and fissures upon the ideals of the scientific community. Soon the Empress was influenced to colonize four of the neighbouring planets and used their inhabitants to fuel their workforce and their biotechnology.

During an expedition he led himself, his party encountered ruins in one of their colonial planets. There he saw things almost identical to their own culture. When they arrived within the Inner Sanctorium, a mighty ancient beast guards a stellar gate. Knowing that it would still be functional, Azjeel's party protected him as he configured it back to life. As the swirling miasma of time and space started to form, his exploration party was torn apart, mangled, and consumed by the beast. The last thing he can remember from the Sanctorium is the beast's infernal screeches, his subordinates' wails and the crashing of the ruins.
Equipment: Four energy gauntlets that are strapped to his four forearms

Sorry for taking this long, I do like science fantasy and your magic could work in this setting if your character is not OP about it. Consider yourself accepted.

Name: The Seraphim

Classification: Humanoid like ethereal creature, sometimes called angelic

Homeworld: Sahaqiel (a planet beyond the milky way)

Government: Council system

Level of Technology: Psychic like technology with a strong sense of elegance in the designs. They possess space travel but don't do much with it, and they have a strong physics based technological development alongside the psyonic technology.

Physiology and Abilities: While there isn't much of the Seraphim left from what can be observed is a complex mental system, with a much more fragile body. They have been described as being 'jellyfish like' which autopsy reports stating their body is too week to legitimately support their body. The race looks very different between persons, however they are all linked by the often surreal look to them. It's been nearly impossible to explain why this has happened, but it may have something to do with the almost 'fantasy' like structure of their home world.

Signature Traits: They are perhaps the most mentally strong of all the races, but also some of the weekest among physical world.

Name: The Overseer Dalla

Gender: Male

Species/Race: Seraphim

Age: 500 years old (young by his races standards)

Appearance: He is around 8 feet tall

Personality: Kind, curious, intelligent, yet unforgiving and very talkative.

Occupation: Overseer (High ranking commander who 'oversees' an operation)

Background: Dalla holds the title of 'youngest overseer' within the Seraphim. Born to single parent (common within the race) he lived a scholarly youth finding himself within the presence of many overseers. From this spawned his desire to become an Overseer grew and he gained his first scientific assignment at the age of 250. From this he became known as the 'Saviour of Nal For' a colony world struck by a plague.

50 years after his original success he carried on his work towards the betterment of his race and began his own independent research studies. From this he found out the existence of another race, and the Seraphim extended an attempted friendship with them. This resulted in a bloody war which caused his race to go into decline. With the discovery of Agria he was appointed overseer by the council and he sent his own research team to investigate. This was how he found himself on the strange planet and surrounded by humans.

As for the fate of his research team, he has no idea.

Equipment: A simple yet elegant plasma pistol, a data pad, and the robes he is donned in. He lacks any medical supplies or any food however, and no form of proper armour or storage.

"-Look I promise I'll be back soon, I'm due a vacation and it's in time for our anniversary. We can go see a movie, go find a nice place to eat out, get a few new books and some fun. I promise nothing is going to happen, and if it does, I'll damn well fight my way back to you. I really have to go now, I'm going to be late I've got a surgery at half past," he hung up the phone sighing. It had been year since he last saw his other and a year since his transfer. Things where changing, for better of for worse.

He didn't know what was upcoming, he just knew things where getting worse. He just hopped he could make it back to Britain before things started to crumble. This fear of what was being called 'the Japanese Flu' worried him, but he remained calm and collected. He may only be a surgeon but with the mental patients he couldn't let himself give in to the stress.

Humming a small tune he donned his doctor's clothing and made his way down to his wing. Giving the odd 'Hello' to doctors or patients as he passed by. Something often regarded as his 'odd little British things.' Into the nearby staff room he prepared himself a cup of tea and went to prep surgery room, after all, half nine would be upon him.

He didn't work alone, but is was normally one step ahead of his colleges but today he was running late, and got ridiculed by one of the other surgeons for it. But he just shrugged it off, he had to prepare for a Kidney transplant, messy yet delicate stuff.

He remembered his training quiet well, a very odd teacher who spent far to long messing around with the organs than teaching his students. While the professor had often scolded students for stupid mistakes, he always seemed to be this odd 'goofball' of a man who always found something funny. In the middle of a kidney transplant he once threw the old one out the window my accident, as a result he gained the name 'Sadist Estonie' and Johnathon had long forgotten his real name. Some would argue it was the fact he was Estonian and he didn't grasp British culture lead onto this odd behavour. But it certainly helped Johnathon through his harder times of study.

However, he had no idea what was to come, the nightmare's he'd face. The lives he'd seen lost and his inability to know if his family was safe. Could he mentally handle it? He wasn't sure.

He lacks any medical supplies or any food however, and no form of proper armor or storage.
