So if a six year-old girl asks you if she's ugly, and you believe she is, you'll happily make her cry? Or if a person with a brain tumor asks you if you think they'll make it, you'll tell them that they'll probably be dead before Christmas?
Stay classy.

The first I'd lie (and also lecture about beauty not being the most important thing in the world to judge people on). The second I won't. It's a tough one, but if I have to be the person giving them the answer, I'd rather tell them how it really is.

If you answered 100% truthfully to every question ever posed to you, you'd probably be dead by now.
Plus, universal honesty is a two way street. Everybody would know exactly what you thought of them too. Boss? Check. Coworkers? Check. Friends and acquaintances? Check. Family? Check.

Yup pretty much.
Better than you my friend who lies to feel good about themselves.

''Hi Nazrin, how are you doing?''
''Well, I just fucked my ugly ass coworker, got groped on the bus by some next women, was caught watching fucking Leafy at work, I'm now fired, and I hate my fucking life.''
''Uh... okay?''

For the first I'd probably lie as well and follow up with a similar talk about how external beauty isn't important and such, but for the second I'd probably say something like 'just stay hopeful' or 'I'm no doctor, but I know that you never give up'. Even if some patients may get tired of hearing that sort of thing over and over again, I'd rather leave the depressing frankness to the doctors.

There was a time in my life that I lied copiously, mostly out of a sense that I wasn't an interesting enough person. Fibbing was second nature. The problem is that when this becomes a habit, you have to start making up new lies to cover for inconsistencies in your old ones, and eventually you get caught out to much embarrassment and public shame. On the other hand, that isn't to say that I never lie. I just make sure that they're limited in scope, appropriate to the situation, and above all, necessary at that very moment. I also never tell one that I'm scared to be caught in.
So you agree lying is a necessity, even if overindulgence is bad.
