Most politicians are somewhat tall, taller than the average person, as it projects power to the voters. I think it's reasonable to anticipate the candidates being a bit on the tall side.

Let's just say that size proportionality sometimes becomes a factor in such insecurities.

I think the pictures are what make it so weird. Looking at Egazarian in pictures he should be more of the smaller charming guy instead of a tank.
