Personality: The stereotype of German humorlessness manifests itself in Urban, no nonsense and completely focused on doing his job, being bothered while doing said job had best be for an important reason, outside of said job, he has a bit of wit that many don't necessarily expect. His general demeanor towards others is that of a disappointed father, anyone who enters into his infirmary without a valid reason will get a glare and a rather stern lecture on time and cause an effect.

Bio: Urban was born in West Berlin, less than three hours before the Berlin Wall was raised for the first time. His father and the rest of his family lived in the Eastern sector, leaving him and his mother as the only two family members in NATO controlled Berlin. His life was bumpy during his formative years, and while he went to school and had a normal childhood, he never really had any friends.

Eventually he signed on to the FRG's Army Medical Service, as a way to get a sustainable job to help take care of himself and his mother. He liked the job, so he slogged through for a decade, at the age of 29 the Wall fell, and his country was reunited... It was also the first time he met his father. It was a dawning moment for Urban one that changed him for the better until the weathering of age caught his cynicism back up with him.

Fastforward to 2011, and he was recruited by XCOM due to his extensive knowledge of battlefield trauma, psychological trauma, and general biological knowledge. Seeing as he really had nothing better to do, it would likely be a slow job, and that spending another thirty years of his life in Germany wasn't very appealing to the man he took the job. He didn't really expect aliens to actually show up, but he really should have.

I like the rolled up newspaper idea a lot better because its hilarious and believe it or not fits the character I made. He suffered trauma to the frontal lobe of his brain in combat and has IED (Intermittent Explosive Disorder) which he has an implant to prevent from being too bad and he also has very low impulse control.

Ah. My own fault, I interpreted raised as in fell. I saw a piece of the wall this week and I explained to someone how they got it there. I believed raised was fell because certain sections were raised upwards to remove the wall on that date. We should start having a Cold War veterans club at XCOM in the future.
