Official Statement of the President
Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a very urgent statement after dangerous rumblings in SACTO-Asigna tensions. I will not sugarcoat it or make it sound better than it is. War between the Bayan and SACTO is upon us. This war will be of massive proportions and involve many different countries. I take this time to say that Hatay, as in the last conflict that was so close to our shores, is neutral. We will working as peacekeepers and for humanitarian aide. We have formed a strong peacekeeping force with the help of our German allies, who we sincerely thank. This force will be deployed in the war zone wherever it may be, and form a camp to which we will bring civilians in need of shelter or medical attention. The specifics of the force are open to the public and viewable at the Presidential website. This force will establish a neutral perimeter in the war zone protected by armed men. Eventually, this perimeter will grow into a full-fledged refugee camp. The civilian cost will be high and destructive, this war will be good for no one. On one side, a cabal of right-wing fanatics, SACTO, committed to enforcing their worldview on others who do not want it, and a clique of autocratic tyranny and imperialism, the Bayan and Acadia. While some in the two groups may have good intention like Inyursta and the New Roma Republic, the overall purposes will lead to either Nihonese or Filipino domination of the East, a terrible predicament. But many people have asked me why I do not join forces with the Bayan to expand progress. Well the answer is all too simple my friends. Benjamin Franklin, perhaps the wisest man in American history once said "Anyone who sacrifices liberty for little temporary security deserves neither." He's right, but I have my own quip for the Bayan. Anyone who sacrifices freedom for progress deserves neither. Because freedom, democracy, and progress all go hand in hand. They are one package, the Bayan progresses indeed they do. But at the price of the people's liberty, who are under the constant watch of the ever-present KK. No good Hatayan should support the Bayan, and SACTO is not better. SACTO endorses brutal regimes across the world. I agree with the Inyurstan call to arms for liberty at all costs, but when they sent forces to protect Nasheed's dictatorial regime, I couldn't help but feel it was hypocritical. Cuscatlan, well don't get me started. They imposed a brutal, genocidal, bloodthirsty regime ion the good people of New Yama, and cut Guadalupador in two. Nihon rants and rants about destroying the brutality and oppression that often comes with communism, but they back a brutal regime in Bashriyya, and in Nihon I often find that left of centre activists always turn up to be pedophiles. So in this battle of two evils, Hatay takes the moral high ground of helping the innocent. We will also be pursuing a peaceful solution, any nation that wants peace can contact us, and we will go to the ends of the earth to restore peace and tranquility. We will gladly host talks, I understand the lust for conquest from Inyursta, frustrated by inconclusive diplomacy like in N Awlins. But this war will have too high a cost. I urge reconsideration of what both SACTO and the Bayan are about to do. In conclusion, if any power finds that peacekeeping is an obstacle to their expansionism and attacks us, we will consider it a monstrosity, but more importantly, and act of war. Our force departs soon, I wish them godspeed and Allah bless the people of Hatay! And the families threatened by this war, may Allah deliver them his great mercy.

If any belligerent power demands passage, you must refuse, this will make you a target, neither side will hesitate in attacking you if we have enemy combatants in your company. If they intend to pass, ignoring you, you must fight them off and evacuate the base.

Megan O'Brian - AP - Earlier today, the Ministry Of Defense confirmed reports of a massive military exercise kicking off today, that will take part across the whole of the Dominion and include forces from across every branch of service. In a press statement released by Madam President herself, the massive exercise is being conducted to determine logistical deficiencies across all branches in dealing with a mass mobilization of assets in preparation for a total war scenario against a hostile coalition of nations.
These drills are expected to take place across the nation for the next few weeks, with some military assets coming in close proximity to civilian population centers as it has also been confirmed that joint operations with Homeland Security Anti Terrorism forces will also be taking place. Citizens are advised to expect travel delays during these drills, as screening and security at all port authorities will be on high alert during this exercise for evaluation.
Earlier today, Polizei SRT members could be seen at Edinburgh International Airport conducting a tactical sweep of the terminal in response to a mock active shooter and mass causality scenario.
Dominion citizens are advised to stay vigilant during these exercises, and to remain clear of all military personal they may encounter in their daily tasks as to not hinder the exercise. Remember, Obedience Demands Sacrafice!

"At 1130PM, Explorer is seen lifting off from the Areostat Nautica launch facility."
Paul Smith - AP - Under a slightly overcast sky, Dominion Orbital Explorer gracefully lifted off in a cloud of orange light and ascended into the heavens above, beginning it's week long mission of repairing a dysfunctional telecommunications satellite and resupplying the Axis International Space Station. The station resupply was called in on short notice, after a critical design flaw was discovered concerning a recently installed prototype waste removal system. While the exact nature of the error remains a mystery, sources have told us that a third party contracted Jewish engineer seems to be behind the design flaw.
More to follow as this story develops.
"Map Of Newly Acquired Territory."
Jason Stone- AP - Cheers erupted on capital hill today, as the finial draft officially ceding Burma into Dominion control was signed by Madam President earlier this morning. While the exact details of the deal remain a closely guarded secret, we do know that a deal was stuck with a neutral third party in brokering this historic transaction.
"Today, the people of Myanmar will finally have a chance to achieve greatness and reach their full potential under the Dominions banner." Said Madam President Melissa Stern in a short, but informative press conference after the bill was signed, before promptly leaving.
Already, Dominion military assets have been dispatched towards Myanmar, to facilitate and ensure a smooth transition into Dominion rule, and are expected to be boots on the ground within the day.
The peoples of the Dominion look forward to welcoming our new brothers and sisters, with open arms.

Official Communique of the Republic of Acadia
The Republic of Acadia fiercely CONDEMNS the act of barbarism committed by these Communist terrorists where 6,000 innocent lives were lost. Even though we are a Socialist country, we fiercely believe that the only path to socialism is through peaceful change, not terrorism and violence. The Acadian government will cooperste with the Bayan in stamping out these terrorists. Mabuhay!

O P I N I O N What should be done in chaotic Burma BY JULIE ANN GADAYAN Original article
Much of the Timente administration has been relatively quiet with the president vowing to make a change in our foreign policy direction to a more isolationist stance. Despite this, the bayan still finds itself widely under attack by forces it had tried to make peace against such as communism and a purported anti communist movement. Our nation had been long bombarded with lies and comments that it has been the bad guy all along such as how our crusade to liberate Palestinians from Christian Maronite genocidal oppression has been misinterpreted as colonization, how our liberation of Sunni oppression from socialist Houthi lead oppression was interpreted as colonization despite Yemen being incorporated into the bayan through the people's own free will and desire for military protection against anyone who wishes further subjugation and how our liberation of Romania from communism was against treated as an invasion. Contrary to popular belief my friends, truth as it seems is the first casualty in the war of the bayan by the alliance that has betrayed it to which the bayan is responsible for its founding. Morality has been heavily twisted through our enemy's monopoly over numbers but quality, information wise, has never been in their favor. Contrary to what they want people to believe, there has never been any forced change in culture by the bayan on Yemen, who freely practices a sultanate form of government under Sultan Omar Sadek by popular vote for Yemen to become an Islamic elective monarchy and theocracy. The bayan also strictly follows the Muslim law not to allow non Muslim soldiers to be stationed in the region for long so to respect the sacredness of the peninsula of Muhammad to which the bayan willfully understand as it has its own Muslim culture that contributes to its own beauty as well through our Bangsamoro brothers. But the bayan has been clearly the victim of politicized and sensationalized lies that are too loud to even be separated from the truth. To loud to be ignored and are produced at a rate so fast that one would not have the time to distinguish truth from lie before it is forced to swallow another lie. But let's face it, now, it is hard to believe SACTO's lies amidst the fact that the bayan itself has once again found itself targeted by forces to which it has long battled against, true and true communism that flies the red flag of the hammer and the sickle and worships the internationale. Despite its riskiness, the bayan has still confirmed that it will once again begin military operations in Burma to avenge the barbarism of the attacks that has been the result of Cuscatlan's inability to control the communist threat that is threatening to grow once again through Burma. Martinezism creates failed nations Burma, contrary to what Cuscatlani propaganda claims, is actually a democratic nation since the rise of Au San Suu Kyi as state counselor but the nation fell into the dark trap that plagues destabilized nations today. Once Martinezism is installed in a nation, it spreads like a cancer on a society corrupting some of its members to become uncooperative asocial forces that want constant warfare and rebellion against what they view to be part of their criteria of what is a "civilization of death". Sadly, the Martinezist ideal was only built to fit societies that are like those of South America whose culture is built to support a sustained Martinezist regime for long periods of time. But a mixture of ignorance and arrogance had lead Martinez and the succeeding Caudillios to believe that its ideology is fit for world exportation. We all know what happens to regimes that try to export their own ideologies; they fail to do so after failing to acknowledge that cultures of nations everywhere are different from one another and the divide will stay in this ever heterogeneous world. This is the Martinezist issue: they start a revolution in some country, fail to totally bring order, are rejected by the populace after finding it to be too distasteful to their own lifestyles that are incompatible with the Martinezist ideal that claims the western Abrahamo centric ideal fits everywhere and therefore, are overtaken by other "better" ideologies such as communism, which is in essence a terrible and failed ideology if history is to become our witness in the court of truth. When a proper solution is introduced, by then it will be too late for Martinezist insurgencies are often backed by ignorant backers who think their efforts will lead to a successful revolution. The medicine will be constantly rejected by quack doctors who insist that they should be the ones treating the sick instead. What was the result? Not a successful Martinezist regime that has brought order to our regional neighbor but a failed state in Asia suffering from an extremely high poverty rate, constant warfare, negative population growth, extreme hunger despite its natural resources, numerous black market players popping in and widespread lawlessness all over. The nation has become, as a result of Cuscatlani and SACTO backed actions, a failed brutalized state that is the perfect breeding ground for extremist ideologies like communism. From a domestic standpoint, nothing can save Burma now for the bearers of the medicine have either fled or been killed in the crossfire leaving the lost among the populace to be confused about who to follow despite the choices are only a matter of choosing the lesser of true evils than actually finding the right choice. Morality has been utterly destroyed in Burma. The solution: A war lead by us, but a political transition independently lead by the Burmese themselves The bayan has long been hesitating from the conflict for reasons that it may be victimized by even more lies by the SACTO propaganda machinery and also because it doesn't want to stir things up even more. But our inaction has only lead to us being harmed even more that gives us only one viable choice left: Action. There are already numerous Burmese people in the bayan who are activists for the rebirth of a democratic Burma, but this time, unmolested by the corrupt destabilizing and problematic ideology of Martinezism. The bayan itself shall not play a role in deciding the kind of government the Burmese will take because it seem that the nation's best and the brightest are perfectly capable of looking for the answers themselves. History has shown that nations which had not been spoon fed with help all the time but rather have risen structurally on their own accord have become great nations who are able to build their own original reputations for themselves. Carbon copies and wannabees don't get much attention from history as those who had been the avant gardes in their own field. However, that doesn't mean that the bayan should exclude their own role in any field. We may help the Burmese in this struggle but not from the political or social standpoint but rather from a military and pragmatic standpoint in which our role in Burma will not be a matter of pressing our own opinions but rather wiping out forces and terminating the possibilities of the nation being used by corrupt elements as a platform or a springboard to harm innocents just like how it is right now. We will not be the invaders nor will we be liberators. It is up to the Burmese people to assess what our role will be in their history from a socio cultural standpoint but it is inevitable that we will have to fight to protect not them with what we know, but us. In the short run, this war is about us, our safety and our security and putting those responsible for the barbaric attack against us to justice. But ultimately, the future of Burma will be about the Burmese. Not about us. |
