Welcome
- Welcome to the 2nd Gemini Games of the Sovereign Charter, hosting right now in Oceanion sponsored by GTR & The Scribbler. We bring you the Sovereign Charter's first global rally, bringing competitors from around the world to race on a series of off-road and urban tracks around Oceanion for the best times.
We bring you 14 rallies on everything from snow capped mountains to dense forests, to beach excursions, to a city run through Oceanion's Capital city. Strictly speaking this is a Sovereign Charter role-play so only SC national teams can compete, but "private" teams are welcome (just to be clear that means everyone).
So what happens?
- The 14 rallies have a number of 'stages' on these Drivers and their teams compete to finish the stages in a quick a time as possible sometimes to within 1/100th of a second. A co-driver assists with navigation during the rally.
The rallies follow the same routine, including a few days of practice at a restricted speed to check out what they're up against ahead of the big day. Then a full speed practice day followed by the competition proper running for the next few days before moving onto the next rally.
Each Rally takes several days and racers are permitted to make stops at designated areas for repairs, for a set time period being either 15, 40 or 60 minutes long. During the race itself, away from the service point only the drivers and co-drivers can work on the vehicle with whatever tools they have onboard.
Rewards and Penalties
- Points are allocated to the top ten finishers on a 3/4 reducing basis, with 2nd place receiving only three quarters of the 20 points the winner (who wins the Rally) receives (rounded up). Points are deducted if visits to the designated service area exceed the allotted times and penalties are also given to teams that don't get to the check points in time.
OOC
- Times are decided by the host by way of a scorinator, finishing times are reduced for those that role-play from the previous posts.
Posting should take no more than a week after which the next stage will begin.
Please do not contradict these results.
The Host may vary or adjust these guidelines to suit the needs of the role-play.

Rally
- 1st. Douglas Plains
- Location: Douglas · Type: Moorland / Dirt · Stages: 3 · Length: 1852km
Taking place in central Douglas, Oceanion, the opening rally Stage 1: 472km takes advantage of the rolling plains and the rocky outcrops creating some spectacular corners and observation areas for viewers alike. It is a challenging but fast paced down hill course, that starts from the highest point of the plains between two rock formations, winding its way down through bogs (don't come off the track!) before emerging into a dusty slalom. Stage two 627km, carries along the plains, but makes use of a number of country roads through a small hamlet, before turning into a farmers corn field before emerging onto a windswept precipice adorned with wind turbines. The final part 753km of the stage is a steep descent down winding rocky roads
Difficulties
Mostly unsealed road surfaces, during Oceanion's Spring season, meaning unpredictable weather patterns, particularly unexpected torrential rainfalls, possible snowfall in remote areas.
Drivers should expect wet, muddy surfaces mixed with dry rocky surfaces sometimes all at the same time.

2nd. New Gloucester Inter-city
- Location: New Gloucester, Oceanion · Type: Country lanes / City · Stages: 3 · Length: 1884km
Unusually for a rally there are more sealed than unsealed surfaces however the New Gloucester Inter-city rally course still holds a series of challenges and begins in a major coastal city in the west. Stage 1: 611km is a course that takes a hilly and meandering coastal route around the outskirts of the city with narrow lanes and high hedges, in places stone walls and other places clear providing excellent views thanks to a notorious 150m plunge off the steep cliffs only a few meters away from the track. A brief down hill followed by fording a small river then takes the driver across the mudflats of the estuary, up a sharp ascending hill before a long steep descent back into the city across a high suspension bridge.
Stage 2: 544km takes the drivers along winding country roads that are open in places across vast plains but also narrow in others. Drivers will have to watch out for parked trailers and other obstacles. The track has a number of dips in the road on corners that will force drivers to drift for extended periods if they wish to maintain speed else destroy parts of the vehicle. A number of bridges also obscure the view of some of these descents and the road ahead. The drivers will then depart the road taking a short cut through a small woodland area, where the road is mostly a form of unmaintained cobbles. Exiting the wooded area the drivers emerge at a sharp 90° left hand turn onto a long straight main road. This road is followed into a small village that follows an intricate S shaped pattern. A very narrow right hand turn takes the drivers off the road again, back onto cobbles between two walls before emerging into a hairpin 170° corner back onto a main road up onto the three laned thorough way where drivers can fully exploit the speed of their vehicle.
Stage 3: 729km The final leg of the journey that follows the thorough-way for some kilometres before taking drivers off down to a large round-a-about shooting off to the right into a semi-residential area, complete with chicanes and road narrowing. Wide corners are interspersed with crests, dips and a number of sharper turns. This leads out of the semi-residential area and back into country lanes that descend quickly to follow a river. A right turn then takes the drivers into the river to ford it up to the next crossing up and out of the river on the other side, following a muddy dirt track into an industrial estate. Long straights and 90° corners are prevalent here but the road out leads straight onto a slip road, across a bridge that is partly opened, drivers must jump. This then leads into a winding down hill route that leads around the back of the city before entering the main route in, the final straight, into the city centre. However there is a last surprise in store for our drivers as they must race through the city shopping centre, usually pedestrianized and descend a series of steps to emerge out of the other side to the finish line. Precision is a must any damage will be charged to the teams.
