"This world is a dangerous place. No one can deny it even in slightest degree.

Strong nations constantly prey on the weak ones, spreading terror and subjugation as the powerful giants trample over the weak and defenseless. It has been so for ages; our world is a chaotic one. And today, in the period of disintegration of nation - state, threats to the sovereign states come from multiple directions. They come from below, in form of non-state actors being result of awakening of multiple religious, political or economical groups based on super-national ideologies; or they come from above in form of supernational unions trying to dictate nation - states what needs to be done. Both of them contribute to breakdown of traditional order and destabilization all across the globe. And when a new kind of war that is neither declared nor ended by peace treaty, a kind of war waged by small groups hiding among the shadows and striking with deadly precision against anything that has a value rages on, no one has been able to make a suitable response. Until now.

I seen this, and honor demands me to act.

I, Shogun Maki Kojiro, have been given a post that I wanted not to hold by ruler of heavens, Christ the Heavenly King, and in his mandate I command Nihon. By his mandate I established laws to promote good, and by his strength I smitten the evil in the land of Admiral Yi. The great wheels of Nihonese industry moved forward again, flooding the markets in the West with goods that are both of enjoyable quality, and lower price. The Imperial Nihonese Navy reigns over the waves, bringing wrath of Christ the Emperor over all who defy the Land of the Blazing Sun. Led by the warrior's way, the Nihonese military proven to be invincible, halting multiple communist revolutions and taking a stand against Asignese oppression. As a bulwark against the evil we stood, for honor demanded it.

My work is not yet done here. By Heavenly Father I accomplished the great deeds, and now I plan to move forward - addressing this to those who lead weaker nations. I know that there are states in this world that require protection. I know that there are those who want to be part of greater construct. For the evil is on the move, and it knows that it's time is short. As the world progresses into chaos all around us - Nihon offers order. Nihon offers the moral authorities that were forgotten long ago. Nihon offers honor and legions of modern samurai to protect you.

Stand with me and become my vassals and join the Empire of Greater Nihon. You shall know that my bakufu has no intent on spreading my rule by force - for becoming a vassal is a voluntary issue. It has neither plans of intervening in your domestic politics. But calculate your chances carefully. Sooner or later you will be faced with a grand struggle, and then, it is good to have someone as honourable as Imperial Nihonese Army ready to stand behind your back...

Nihon has a navy that can protect you. By wisdom of heavenly father, Nihonese capital may boost your economy. You can get access to the Mandokoro, and enjoy benefits from international cooperation, various forms of arbitrage and mediation between you carried out by me, Shogun Maki Kojiro. Since a long time, I have been very interested in the way that empires create a satellite states around them. The tributary system is such system created by the Empire of Greater Nihon, aimed at expanding it's international influence. It works in very simple way - in exchange for a slight tribute paid in either precious metals (gold, platinium, palladium, etc) or in natural resources on yearly basis and nominal (means no intrusion in any politics of any sort) sovereignty of the Nihonese Shogun over your head of state, your county gets protection of the Imperial Nihonese Army (which made it's name in countless battles over the International Incidents), access to Nihonese investments and free trade / common market structures, as well as being granted right to sit among the Mandokoro in the Shogun's court, take part in multiple common defense initiatives, etc.

This offer is mostly aimed at younger / smaller states that feel that they want to develop their position on II; ones that have historical and cultural links with Empire of Greater Nihon (in such case, Nihonese Shogun's support may be a way of getting political legitimacy by your leadership). There is no denial that I am aiming at developing "Nihonosphere" here. This institution may also work as a way to develop international relations. On OOC note, I offer to guide all those who join this group in the ways of RPing, introducing them to the world of II.

This personal vision of Nihonese international relations is based on various geopolitical developments from IRL; namely weakening of the nation-state. My vision was that the concept of "trans - sovereinginity" and gradual loss of nation - state's power made people look back to the state when the world looked like that the last time - to the middle ages. Of course it is more focused on political, than economical relationships - but I think that it is worthy scenario to consider.

THE SHOGUN'S COURT

Shogun's court is an institution when vassals - and friends who are not vassals - meet with Shogun Maki Kojiro and his subordinates to sit among the Mandokoro - the council that serves as a tool to solve peacefully international disputes and promote international cooperation. Each vassal is granted a right to sit in Mandokoro, take part in debates and issue proposition of joint initiatives. It has to be noted that important personnel of NGOs and corporations can also apply for becoming vassals.

Posts in Mandokoro:

- Shōgun (将軍): Shogun is the chief of Mandokoro, exercising the mandate of heavenly father in the name of the Emperor - the right given to Nihonese shoguns from Chosokame Bakufu by emperor Kogyoku in 1550. Shogun is the head of the Empire of Greater Nihon, exercising all the powers.

- Rensho (連署- cosignatory): is the Shogun's chancellor and 2nd in power. Rensho is responsible for organizing work of the Mandokoro as well as carrying out the public diplomacy. Rensho can also replace the shogun should he be unavailable, after his permission.

- Two ministerial posts (左大臣 Sadaijin - minister of the left and 右大臣 Udajin - minister of the right) exist. Minister of the left is responsible for promoting economic cooperation among the vassals and economic initiatives; while minister of the right is responsible for promoting security initiatives (udajin must have military and security knowledge experience which will be determined by proper exam). Vassals who hold those posts will have their tribute lowered.

- Minister of the center (内大臣 - Naidaijin) is responsible for overseeing the judicial functions of shogun's court; he can also judge minor affairs should Shogun or Rensho be unavailable.

- Each vassal receives title of Shugo (守護 - lit. Protector or Governor). If he is unable to personally take part in Mandokoro sessions, a shugodai (守護代) can be appointed to represent him in his place.

- Do you want to get nobilitated and cement your rule? Nothing hard to accomplish! By order of Shogun Kojiro you may receive a title and be included into Kazoku (華族). Titles that you can obtain that way include Lord (大名 - Diamyo), Duke ( 公爵 - kōshaku) or Earl (伯爵 - hakushaku) depending on your county's geopolitical strength, population, geopolitical importance and relationship with the Empire of Greater Nihon. Each vassal will receive his own mon, administered by Shogun Kojiro.

The territory held is Inland China, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Szechuan, Zhong Yuan, Southern China, the Manchurian Coast, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Burma, Siam, and Malaya as well as
Singapore. It's Culture is a mixture of Japanese and Chinese, and English, Japanese, and Chinese are all official languages.
It is very focused on Feng's State, and while it is a free market state and has many wealthy corporations, people expect the state to provide an extensive list of official jobs, related largely to military affairs. The state has placed it's trust in a few corporations that are strictly regulated and confined to Feng and occasionally extremely close Feng allies to help provide jobs where the government cannot. In Feng there is a big emphasis on military and the Samurai Spirit can be felt throughout Feng. Above all though, Social Liberties, Loyalty to the Nation, and the development of one's talents are what are hallmarks of Feng Culture. This is an emphasis on "Order maintained through Trust" and for expressing oneself and using that to serve one's nation. The Feng Military Culture goes beyond the government as many companies work closely with the government and help provide citizens jobs. Many Feng citizens(An estimated 18 million) are Mercenaries which is legal as long as it doesn't occur in Feng's sphere of influence or obstruct Feng goals. Also the Companies are expected to in a state of total war and economic sanctions maintain loyalty to the nation and those that discuss not backing Feng in a conflict are often publicly shunned. Feng's economy(Which will be explained in much greater detail) is focused on militarism, food production, arms sales, military vehicle production, sales of precious minerals and oil, environmental protection(About 37% of Feng runs on nuclear power, with 36% running on renewable power with 18% running on other forms of environmental friendly energy and 9% on Coal.
While Trade is big in Feng Feng tries to limit it's markets to friendly nations such as Aravea, Topkekkia, Chkalvosk, etc. to prevent crippling economic sanctions that could destroy it's economy. It's population is also 76% ethnic Feng, with 5% Caucasian, 6% Southeast Asian, and 9% other making up Feng's demographics.
It has about 33K GDP Per Capita, and a 660 Million population.

It is common for people to trust the government and the people are strongly protective of both their democracy and monarchy. and seek to keep them both. They would never allow themselves to be occupied and/or annexed and many are in militias to prevent Feng. However the Feng people are surprisingly okay with Vassalship as they believe their nation should be glorified but also protected and must sometimes submit to survive and flourish. Often many people would be okay with a Vassalship if it benefited Feng enough to be justified at the price of the costs. This is why Feng once was a Aravean Vassal for about 5 Years without any problems or internal rebellion. However the people only support Vassalship if the Monarchy supports it as while the people don't blindly follow the Monarchy's demands, they view the current Dynasty as what makes Feng Feng. They believe that if the government supports a vassalship and if they can give good reasons of why it would benefit Feng many people would agree to it, as long as it wouldn't infringe too much on their lives. This has led to Feng often being willing to pay tribute to nations(Such as Aravea) as long as there isn't too much meddling into Feng affairs.

Feng has 1.5 million active military personnel and 1.8 million reserve military personnel, with roughly 6 million willing volunteers that have military training and experience, 12 million in Militias, and 30 million people that have military training, are expected to keep themselves fit, and will be the first ones to be consider for mandatory drafts. Feng finally has 3 million mercenary soldiers that have a contract that if they are in Feng that they will protect Feng when the time comes. Feng thus has no shortage of well trained men at it's disposal for manpower. In addition most normal Feng people are expected to keep a gun and train with it regularly, making drafting and training somewhat easier.
In terms of capability, Feng has an extremely well-trained Ground Force, Strong Naval Forces, and a strong enough Air Force. It in theory has no weaknesses in war, as the nation is trained for eras of chaos.
In terms of diplomatic prowess Feng is no slouch, as it regularly searches out new allies and seeks to strengthen it's ties with existing ones and regularly negotiates deals that strengthens ties and strengthens Feng for any potential conflict. Feng's recent strategic failure against Pillowlandia was not due to it's military training or equipment being questionable, but due to a tactical mistake.

Feng political idealogy is best described as "Unique". As it believes that a medium government is necessary for the military, education, and basic healthcare and welfare, but believe that the latter three need to be privatized most for effectiveness. As such the Feng government sponsors companies and makes them have very strong government ties, but the funding is done through some taxes but not too much, and instead the companies are offshoots of other large and powerful companies that also have strong ties and loyalty to the government, and some reserve funding is stored to make healthcare affordable without being overly controlled by the government and payed too much through taxes. Criticism of the government is allowed but considered taboo and though people regularly do it without government interference it is simply not as big as in other countries(Polls showed that only 13% of people in Feng regularly listen to such talk shows or media).
The Government has only one official news corporation that is fairly popular and there are many news corporations that are popular throughout Feng that are not controlled or sponsored at all and are highly popular. Media portrayals of the government are mixed, with many being positive, and many being mixed, and a few being negative.

Yujing Capitol Building, Congress, and Senate
You’d think now, the President was a veteran himself. For quite a long time now, many would assure you, his tired eyes have seen war itself. In truth, it was perhaps the battles he faced to keep rule. To him, perhaps, intrigue was a staple to his life. Beside him was his nephew, the Emperor. Another, perhaps, theoretical veteran. You’d assume that maybe these two were old friends from an old campaign and in truth they were. Except that their campaign was a tricky one. It was leading a nation.

Lulong Yin casually walked down the hall alongside Yan Yin. One would notice that the President had now a streak of grey hair running down his natural black. Politics was a strenuous task, especially in a war-stricken state like this. A turn to the right and there, the duo had arrived in the congress.

The congress was silenced, awaiting the duo to sit down. “Chancellor.” One of the congressmen said. “I trust you have something to discuss?”

“Indeed, fellow congressman.” Lulong said, his voice full of wisdom. “Today, I ask you for your aid.” He began, taking a sip of water. “We are bound by law to help our brothers in Persia and today comes a time where we must do so!” He says, further continuing. “But you see: a Kingdom divided is no Kingdom at all and as such today I take a vote to ensure we remain united. Will you congressman support a war against the treacherous Pillowlandians?” He asks, speculating their decision.

“Is that a question, Chancellor?!” One of the congressman asked. “I know of no man who would not support this.” Another remarked. The congressmen begin discussing in hushed tones, Lulong patiently awaiting their decision. “May we begin counting the votes?” He asks, the congressmen nodding in reply.

For a moment, votes were carefully taken and recorded accordingly. Yan was grinning, knowing the result beforehand.

“The results are… a landslide!” The recorder remarked. “What is it, spit it out!” One of the congressmen asked. “One… hundred percent, to support the war!” He said, stifling a gasp. Lulong grinned, gesturing for Yan to get up.

The Emperor, clearing his throat, stood up from his chair to deliver a speech about the results.

“So it has been decided. We will go to war with the Empire of Pillowlandia. We will adhere to our treaty, and show our allies that we are with them no matter who tries to fight them! We will remind Pillowlandia of who is the dominant nation in Asia, and who is the father of the East! We will show them the Sleeping Dragon of Feng, and will wake our nation up and once again take flight after our long rest! We will take our fate back into our hands and strike down this scheming Naga once and for all! We will protect Persia as if it was our own Bear cub! We will… we will … WE WILL FULFILL OUR ANCIENT DUTY OF BEING THE PROTECTOR OF THE VIRTUOUS, THE WEAK, THE BRAVE, THE FREE, AND ALL THAT IS ASIA AND WE WILL! WE WILL PROTECT ALL PEOPLE OF THE EAST AND THE ORIENT AND WE WILL SHOW THE PILLOWLANDIANS, BACKSTABBERS TO THE OCCIDENT AND THE WORLD THAT THE DRAGON OF FENG STANDS READY TO STRIKE DOWN ALL THREATS TO PEACE AND JUSTICE IN THIS WORLD! The emperor then set down, winded by the long and passionate speech he had just made. The last few lines had been spoken with a particular fire and passion not usually seen in national leaders. Not the fire of ambition or rage, but the flames of sincerity and true desire to do good in the world, much like his family had done for generations.

The room was full of applause, congressmen approving the fiery speech. It could very well be the speech that would be the flame to set the Pillowlandians apart. Who knows? The duo once more left. They still had plenty more work to do.

Next they entered a more quiet room. The Foreign Ministry, where the Famed Tong Yin did his work. Tong Yin was not part of the Yin family, but had been given the name to honor his work for the country and the work of his father before him, who had died after being killed by an enemy spy in a war fought about a quarter a century ago. Tong was older than his friend Yan, being in his mid thirties, but he and Yan had remained close throughout childhood. Tong had been given the command of the military at only 11 years old-which caused a massive debate in parliament about letting one so young command the entire military. But Tong had since he was four, studied modern military strategy and politics rigorously with a passion, and by age nine, had been able to outdebate many top military officials. He was considered by many to be a genius, and when he was given command of the military at age 11, he proved those words by winning many brilliant victories against Feng enemies and though there was still a debate over that if Tong was responsible enough, he quickly soothed their fears. Granted, a few more years of debate of allowing or not child soldiers were held due to Feng abandoning that practice centuries ago, but they eventually decided to make an exception for this General. He had risen in rank and by age twenty seven, had also gained the titles and positions of Defense Minister and Foreign Minister, being the only military officer to hold that position since the early 1700’s.
He was loyal to Yan Yin, treating him like a younger brother, and often would get angry at those few who believed he should overthrow the emperor. While many soldiers supported the emperor, there were a few(A few dozen, less than 100) who believed that Tong Yin should be emperor instead, and his loyalty and harsh punishments to those who suggested he seize power for himself made him known as one of the best and most loyal generals in the last century Feng history- and that, for Feng, is quite an achievement, as many generals are very loyal to the people and the crown, though occasionally an ambitious general attempts a coup and is either thwarted or takes control over a small foreign territory Feng holds.

When they walked in, Tong and Nobuchika Asakura(The Deputy Foreign Minister) were having an intense debate, with Nobuchika looking livid. This struck both the President and the Emperor as odd, as the two were usually good friends. They watched for a few moments, until the Emperor cleared his throat, getting the two men to snap to attention and bow respectfully.

“What is the matter here? You two are usually like two peas in a pod.” Yan said concernedly.

Nobuchika slowly got back up, swallowed hard, and stammered, trying to form a reply.

“Tong ha-has gone mad! He wants to do something totally in-insane! An action that would mak-make us a laughingstock and just make things worse!”

“What did he suggest?” Lulong asked quietly.

“He-he wants us to request peace talks with the Unified Free Isles, and form an alliance with them. They’d never accept that. We are at war with them. It’s ridiculous.”

Yan then spoke up.
“Interesting Tong. What do you have to say about this?”

“Your majesty, if we agree to a peace treaty and to peace talks, we could persuade them to agree to our demands in exchange to having us as an ally to fight Pillowlandia, instead of fighting us both. Especially if we claim the current Iraqi regime is a Fascist dictatorship that isn’t even ethnically Iraqi and that public support is for Feng.”


“Interesting Tong...what do you have to say uncle?”


“I like it. We’d gain an ally and be able to focus on the Pillowlandian front.”

“But they’d never agree to it! Attempting this and offering a ceasefire or an armistice would only make us lose precious time, money, momentum, and prestige. We must have our forces retreat from Iraq and prepare for a slower but more calculated offensive.” Nobuchika argued. “This would only humiliate us.”

“Perhaps.” The Emperor mused. “Tong, do you think it will work?”

“I am 100% positive my lord.” Tong replied quietly.


“Then do it. We will do this then, as it seems to be the best option to avoid a drawn out war. Nobuchika?”

The Deputy Foreign Minister, looking defeated, finally conceded.
“I’ll write it up…” He mumbled.

Lulong spoke up. “Don’t forget to ask the Armenians to stop their genocide and to have us condemn it publicly. They are our allies but not doing this would make us look bad.”

Nobuchika nodded, then headed to the computer.

Greetings your excellency. We, the Feng, would like to offer you a deal for peace. We recognize that a drawn out war in Iraq would be disadvantageous for both of us, and that we both have our eyes on a bigger opponent...Pillowlandia.
Feng offers you a military alliance and cooperation against Pillowlandia in Persia and Feng will take no land in any potential invasion from Pillowlandia, and will agree to not annex Persian land for ten years and keep a military alliance with them for at least four years, and create economic ties and trade between us, boosting our economies. We will also condemn the Armenian’s breach of human rights by slaughtering hundreds of thousands of Arabs, and while they will remain our ally, we will pressure them to stop.
We will also sign multiple trade deals with UFL.
In exchange, we request the following:
-A mutual defense pact, and the UFL joining the Yujing Pact Military Alliance
-Withdrawal of UFL troops from Iraq and reassignment to Persia to help fight the Pillowlandians.
-The partitioning of Iraq between Feng, Persia, and Armenia

Tibet
Feng troops and paratroopers appeared all across the Tibetan border, air sorties launching missions to distract enemy air defences. that allowed the Feng infantry and armor to land on the Plateaus of Tibet. 10,000 Feng troops set their sights on the nearest major Tibetan city, Amdo, and immediately prepared to advance. There was a particular large force of IFVs in the attacks, nearly 200, rolling towards nearby towns and cities in step with the paradropped infantry. The invasion was supported by the Feng Air Force, with a third the air force being dedicated to the campaign in Tibet, which was roughly 1,700 planes attacking enemy positions and disrupting enemy fortifications.


Bengal
The region of Bengal had roughly 270,000 Feng forces in the region, and, when the news broke, the forces prepared for combat.
Less than three hours after the declaration of war, Feng forces began firebombing forests and taking great lengths to avoid civilians, whilst attempting to gain air superiority over the region with about 950 Feng planes in the area, that like in Tibet, cleared obstacles, bombed enemy fortifications and command centers, and engaged in occasional fights with other planes in the skies.
After the initial air assault, the Infantry began moving west aiming to take the town of Sylhet before the week's end, moving quickly through the cleared forests and attempting to rescue civilians and treat them with great care and kindness, which was a staple of Feng's war strategy-A method of psychological warfare designed to make Feng seem like the good guys, though, the current Emperor had pushed for this strategy more than even his predecessor, partially due to his benevolence, partially because he wanted to have as less insurgents as possible. Any towns captured would be reassured that Feng would not annex or oppress them, and would allow them to have their freedom after the war and even help pay for some of the damages.

Persia
After the formal declaration of war, Feng forces-as many as 180,000-moved to counter the Pillowlandian attack with a strong defense, while the other 120,000 decided to stay in key defensive regions away from the border just in case defensive lines were broken.
As many as 1050 Feng planes were used in the defense to take out enemy Tanks and infantry, launching a deadly counterattack to stall and hopefully eventually reverse the enemy's advance at the cities of Srinagar, Multan, and Lahore.

However, in former years the base has grown to several times its original size as extensive command, airstrips, drydocks, and substantial air and sea defensive emplacements have been constructed. Furthermore there is a long chain of environmentally protected just off the northern coast.

The economy is a typical one, having begun rapid industrialization and growth for several decades it became a nation which other larger nations saw as useful militarily and economically. As such, it grew until the crash of the Kach stock market. Following the crash in early 2006, the nation quickly fell into a mild recession. However, the massive crude oil boom of the era saw it quickly rise out of the ashes, on a meteoric climb back up. Yet, the glory days failed after only a few short years. In late 2011 the nation once more fell into a deep recession, falling victim to both capital flight and feeling the crunch of a falling comedies market. Thus, it primed the nation for it's current state.

Today the nation sits ravaged by war, the Bluewell Conflict having begun in early 2016. Now, the major cities of the west sit in ruin, streets littered by rubble and ragged government forces. However, even as further peacekeeing and Pillowlandian forces arrive to bolster the native forces the war has begun to spread to the east. As of now the west is filled with little more than displaced citizens, the central mountain range is firmly in control of a rebel faction, and the north sits at threat by slaver forces.

The national GDP sits at 735.21 billion Commonwealth Notes, the current interim currency until full Commonwealth Integration, though there is undoubtedly a sizable grey market. As such the official GDP per capita is 9043.17 CN. However, unemployment remains high and stagnant at nearly 18%.

The Bluewellian Armed Forces are comprised of 80,000 active duty army personal. They are organized into four divisions of 20,000 infantry each. However, as the economic situation has worsoned the military has experienced massive budget cuts and thus has poorly maintained bases, equipment, and personal. Furthermore, with the uprising of the Bluewell Independent Army further elements of the forces have defected to the terrorist organizations ranks. One positive note is that following the announcement of joining the Pillowlandian Commonwealth, and rumored to be before, the Pillowlandian army has begun a massive modernization and training program designed to bring native forces to par.

You know, ironically none.

While Kojiro may be diametrically opposed to certain ideologies, he also is very pragmatist in terms of politics and realist in terms of IR. You would find Nihonese political ideologies very ill defined and pragmatically oriented.

Dahon is not a "violent revolutionary based nation" and thus would be fully allowed to participate.

The Feng Military Culture goes beyond the government as many companies work closely with the government and help provide citizens jobs. Many Feng citizens(An estimated 18 million) are Mercenaries which is legal as long as it doesn't occur in Feng's sphere of influence or obstruct Feng goals. Also the Companies are expected to in a state of total war and economic sanctions maintain loyalty to the nation and those that discuss not backing Feng in a conflict are often publicly shunned. Feng's economy(Which will be explained in much greater detail) is focused on militarism, food production, arms sales, military vehicle production, sales of precious minerals and oil, environmental protection(About 37% of Feng runs on nuclear power, with 36% running on renewable power with 18% running on other forms of environmental friendly energy and 9% on Coal.
While Trade is big in Feng Feng tries to limit it's markets to friendly nations such as Aravea, Topkekkia, Chkalvosk, etc. to prevent crippling economic sanctions that could destroy it's economy. It's population is also 76% ethnic Feng, with 5% Caucasian, 6% Southeast Asian, and 9% other making up Feng's demographics.
It has about 33K GDP Per Capita, and a 660 Million population.

It is common for people to trust the government and the people are strongly protective of both their democracy and monarchy. and seek to keep them both. They would never allow themselves to be occupied and/or annexed and many are in militias to prevent Feng. However the Feng people are surprisingly okay with Vassalship as they believe their nation should be glorified but also protected and must sometimes submit to survive and flourish. Often many people would be okay with a Vassalship if it benefited Feng enough to be justified at the price of the costs. This is why Feng once was a Aravean Vassal for about 5 Years without any problems or internal rebellion. However the people only support Vassalship if the Monarchy supports it as while the people don't blindly follow the Monarchy's demands, they view the current Dynasty as what makes Feng Feng. They believe that if the government supports a vassalship and if they can give good reasons of why it would benefit Feng many people would agree to it, as long as it wouldn't infringe too much on their lives. This has led to Feng often being willing to pay tribute to nations(Such as Aravea) as long as there isn't too much meddling into Feng affairs.

Feng has 1.5 million active military personnel and 1.8 million reserve military personnel, with roughly 6 million willing volunteers that have military training and experience, 12 million in Militias, and 30 million people that have military training, are expected to keep themselves fit, and will be the first ones to be consider for mandatory drafts. Feng finally has 3 million mercenary soldiers that have a contract that if they are in Feng that they will protect Feng when the time comes. Feng thus has no shortage of well trained men at it's disposal for manpower. In addition most normal Feng people are expected to keep a gun and train with it regularly, making drafting and training somewhat easier.
In terms of capability, Feng has an extremely well-trained Ground Force, Strong Naval Forces, and a strong enough Air Force. It in theory has no weaknesses in war, as the nation is trained for eras of chaos.
In terms of diplomatic prowess Feng is no slouch, as it regularly searches out new allies and seeks to strengthen it's ties with existing ones and regularly negotiates deals that strengthens ties and strengthens Feng for any potential conflict. Feng's recent strategic failure against Pillowlandia was not due to it's military training or equipment being questionable, but due to a tactical mistake.

Feng political idealogy is best described as "Unique". As it believes that a medium government is necessary for the military, education, and basic healthcare and welfare, but believe that the latter three need to be privatized most for effectiveness. As such the Feng government sponsors companies and makes them have very strong government ties, but the funding is done through some taxes but not too much, and instead the companies are offshoots of other large and powerful companies that also have strong ties and loyalty to the government, and some reserve funding is stored to make healthcare affordable without being overly controlled by the government and payed too much through taxes. Criticism of the government is allowed but considered taboo and though people regularly do it without government interference it is simply not as big as in other countries(Polls showed that only 13% of people in Feng regularly listen to such talk shows or media).
The Government has only one official news corporation that is fairly popular and there are many news corporations that are popular throughout Feng that are not controlled or sponsored at all and are highly popular. Media portrayals of the government are mixed, with many being positive, and many being mixed, and a few being negative.

You’d think now, the President was a veteran himself. For quite a long time now, many would assure you, his tired eyes have seen war itself. In truth, it was perhaps the battles he faced to keep rule. To him, perhaps, intrigue was a staple to his life. Beside him was his nephew, the Emperor. Another, perhaps, theoretical veteran. You’d assume that maybe these two were old friends from an old campaign and in truth they were. Except that their campaign was a tricky one. It was leading a nation.

Lulong Yin casually walked down the hall alongside Yan Yin. One would notice that the President had now a streak of grey hair running down his natural black. Politics was a strenuous task, especially in a war-stricken state like this. A turn to the right and there, the duo had arrived in the congress.

The congress was silenced, awaiting the duo to sit down. “Chancellor.” One of the congressmen said. “I trust you have something to discuss?”

“Indeed, fellow congressman.” Lulong said, his voice full of wisdom. “Today, I ask you for your aid.” He began, taking a sip of water. “We are bound by law to help our brothers in Persia and today comes a time where we must do so!” He says, further continuing. “But you see: a Kingdom divided is no Kingdom at all and as such today I take a vote to ensure we remain united. Will you congressman support a war against the treacherous Pillowlandians?” He asks, speculating their decision.

“Is that a question, Chancellor?!” One of the congressman asked. “I know of no man who would not support this.” Another remarked. The congressmen begin discussing in hushed tones, Lulong patiently awaiting their decision. “May we begin counting the votes?” He asks, the congressmen nodding in reply.

For a moment, votes were carefully taken and recorded accordingly. Yan was grinning, knowing the result beforehand.

“The results are… a landslide!” The recorder remarked. “What is it, spit it out!” One of the congressmen asked. “One… hundred percent, to support the war!” He said, stifling a gasp. Lulong grinned, gesturing for Yan to get up.

The Emperor, clearing his throat, stood up from his chair to deliver a speech about the results.

“So it has been decided. We will go to war with the Empire of Pillowlandia. We will adhere to our treaty, and show our allies that we are with them no matter who tries to fight them! We will remind Pillowlandia of who is the dominant nation in Asia, and who is the father of the East! We will show them the Sleeping Dragon of Feng, and will wake our nation up and once again take flight after our long rest! We will take our fate back into our hands and strike down this scheming Naga once and for all! We will protect Persia as if it was our own Bear cub! We will… we will … WE WILL FULFILL OUR ANCIENT DUTY OF BEING THE PROTECTOR OF THE VIRTUOUS, THE WEAK, THE BRAVE, THE FREE, AND ALL THAT IS ASIA AND WE WILL! The emperor then set down, winded by the long and passionate speech he had just made. The last few lines had been spoken with a particular fire and passion not usually seen in national leaders. Not the fire of ambition or rage, but the flames of sincerity and true desire to do good in the world, much like his family had done for generations.

The room was full of applause, congressmen approving the fiery speech. It could very well be the speech that would be the flame to set the Pillowlandians apart. Who knows? The duo once more left. They still had plenty more work to do.

Next they entered a more quiet room. The Foreign Ministry, where the Famed Tong Yin did his work. Tong Yin was not part of the Yin family, but had been given the name to honor his work for the country and the work of his father before him, who had died after being killed by an enemy spy in a war fought about a quarter a century ago. Tong was older than his friend Yan, being in his mid thirties, but he and Yan had remained close throughout childhood. Tong had been given the command of the military at only 11 years old-which caused a massive debate in parliament about letting one so young command the entire military. But Tong had since he was four, studied modern military strategy and politics rigorously with a passion, and by age nine, had been able to outdebate many top military officials. He was considered by many to be a genius, and when he was given command of the military at age 11, he proved those words by winning many brilliant victories against Feng enemies and though there was still a debate over that if Tong was responsible enough, he quickly soothed their fears. Granted, a few more years of debate of allowing or not child soldiers were held due to Feng abandoning that practice centuries ago, but they eventually decided to make an exception for this General. He had risen in rank and by age twenty seven, had also gained the titles and positions of Defense Minister and Foreign Minister, being the only military officer to hold that position since the early 1700’s.
He was loyal to Yan Yin, treating him like a younger brother, and often would get angry at those few who believed he should overthrow the emperor. While many soldiers supported the emperor, there were a few(A few dozen, less than 100) who believed that Tong Yin should be emperor instead, and his loyalty and harsh punishments to those who suggested he seize power for himself made him known as one of the best and most loyal generals in the last century Feng history- and that, for Feng, is quite an achievement, as many generals are very loyal to the people and the crown, though occasionally an ambitious general attempts a coup and is either thwarted or takes control over a small foreign territory Feng holds.

When they walked in, Tong and Nobuchika Asakura(The Deputy Foreign Minister) were having an intense debate, with Nobuchika looking livid. This struck both the President and the Emperor as odd, as the two were usually good friends. They watched for a few moments, until the Emperor cleared his throat, getting the two men to snap to attention and bow respectfully.

“What is the matter here? You two are usually like two peas in a pod.” Yan said concernedly.

Nobuchika slowly got back up, swallowed hard, and stammered, trying to form a reply.

“Tong ha-has gone mad! He wants to do something totally in-insane! An action that would mak-make us a laughingstock and just make things worse!”

“What did he suggest?” Lulong asked quietly.

“He-he wants us to request peace talks with the Unified Free Isles, and form an alliance with them. They’d never accept that. We are at war with them. It’s ridiculous.”

Yan then spoke up.
“Interesting Tong. What do you have to say about this?”

“Your majesty, if we agree to a peace treaty and to peace talks, we could persuade them to agree to our demands in exchange to having us as an ally to fight Pillowlandia, instead of fighting us both. Especially if we claim the current Iraqi regime is a Fascist dictatorship that isn’t even ethnically Iraqi and that public support is for Feng.”


“Interesting Tong...what do you have to say uncle?”


“I like it. We’d gain an ally and be able to focus on the Pillowlandian front.”

“But they’d never agree to it! Attempting this and offering a ceasefire or an armistice would only make us lose precious time, money, momentum, and prestige. We must have our forces retreat from Iraq and prepare for a slower but more calculated offensive.” Nobuchika argued. “This would only humiliate us.”

“Perhaps.” The Emperor mused. “Tong, do you think it will work?”

“I am 100% positive my lord.” Tong replied quietly.


“Then do it. We will do this then, as it seems to be the best option to avoid a drawn out war. Nobuchika?”

The Deputy Foreign Minister, looking defeated, finally conceded.
“I’ll write it up…” He mumbled.

Lulong spoke up. “Don’t forget to ask the Armenians to stop their genocide and to have us condemn it publicly. They are our allies but not doing this would make us look bad.”

Nobuchika nodded, then headed to the computer.

Tibet
Feng troops and paratroopers appeared all across the Tibetan border, air sorties launching missions to distract enemy air defences. that allowed the Feng infantry and armor to land on the Plateaus of Tibet. 10,000 Feng troops set their sights on the nearest major Tibetan city, Amdo, and immediately prepared to advance. There was a particular large force of IFVs in the attacks, nearly 200, rolling towards nearby towns and cities in step with the paradropped infantry. The invasion was supported by the Feng Air Force, with a third the air force being dedicated to the campaign in Tibet, which was roughly 1,700 planes attacking enemy positions and disrupting enemy fortifications.


Bengal
The region of Bengal had roughly 270,000 Feng forces in the region, and, when the news broke, the forces prepared for combat.
Less than three hours after the declaration of war, Feng forces began firebombing forests and taking great lengths to avoid civilians, whilst attempting to gain air superiority over the region with about 950 Feng planes in the area, that like in Tibet, cleared obstacles, bombed enemy fortifications and command centers, and engaged in occasional fights with other planes in the skies.
After the initial air assault, the Infantry began moving west aiming to take the town of Sylhet before the week's end, moving quickly through the cleared forests and attempting to rescue civilians and treat them with great care and kindness, which was a staple of Feng's war strategy-A method of psychological warfare designed to make Feng seem like the good guys, though, the current Emperor had pushed for this strategy more than even his predecessor, partially due to his benevolence, partially because he wanted to have as less insurgents as possible. Any towns captured would be reassured that Feng would not annex or oppress them, and would allow them to have their freedom after the war and even help pay for some of the damages.

Persia
After the formal declaration of war, Feng forces-as many as 180,000-moved to counter the Pillowlandian attack with a strong defense, while the other 120,000 decided to stay in key defensive regions away from the border just in case defensive lines were broken.
As many as 1050 Feng planes were used in the defense to take out enemy Tanks and infantry, launching a deadly counterattack to stall and hopefully eventually reverse the enemy's advance at the cities of Srinagar, Multan, and Lahore.
