Three ships simultaneously appear near the planet, Caliph. A couple of fighters exit from the carrier. The fighters scouted around the planet and sent back reports back to the Cruisers. They kept on surveying the surroundings of the planet.

On the Cruiser
The Captain was still having thoughts about the explosion on Agric Beta and the scary mentality of the clones. He had heard of reports of clones killing themselves, but not at a scale like this. It was simply too much for him to understand. He was only given these clones after they finished their "training" "Captain!" The Captain suddenly broke his stare and looked at the Crew member. "What?" "You haven't touched the report, sir" the crew member said in a very deadpan voice. "I will, I will." The Captain said in an annoyed tone, "Now leave me" And with that, the crew member left

3rd Battle group, near Caliph

The 3rd Battle group was almost done their routine patrol when three unidentified ships appeared on the edge of their scanners the Senior Captain of the Battlegroup raised en eyebrow as he looked at the holographic projection. It seemed that they where facing two cruiser type ships with a carrier, IF they where going to attack them the carrier would be the VIP target, however he didn't want to risk an attack as they not know what type of weapons, armor, counter measures, etc they had in placed.

"Officer"

"Yes sir?"

"Get a stealth probe online, and scan those ships"

"Yes sir. Any primary targets?"

"Cruisers then the Carrier, if they go by normal ship make up the carrier will be defended but not as much as the cruisers which can take more punish me to do can give out more punishment."

"Yes sir" the officer went back to his station and took control of the stealth probe, which was then seen moving towards the unknown fleet

The High Captain then turned and sat down in his chair, he began to think for a few seconds before opening a message channel and then typing

Attention, incoming ships you are nearing the 3rd Battle group of the New Earth Federation. The planet known as Calpih is under our control, we ask you identify yourself and state your intentions

A message popped up in the captain's screen. It was easily translatable. The captain read it and he typed a response. "Send this response down."

"Yes sir"

It was in the Captain's mind to form alliances as fast as he could. He was unsure of the response from this foreigner, but he had faith in the message.

We are the Exploration group from the Ministry of Military which is a part of the Ministry of the Imperial Ministry.
We are looking for a planet to colonize for the Imperial Ministry. If you like, we could send a political officer and bureaucrat to discuss about this

Southwestern Front
331st Shock Division

Nazar was quick to dodge a weave around Thorvan's blade, rolling behind him before striking out in a fury of steel. The Centurion's breathing was ragged, his two heart beat a thousand times a minute. "Then you are no warrior... You are a puppet! Tangled in the strings of Doom!" The young legionary spat out his words from behind clenched teeth, "And yet you dare to insult my brothers! You dare to question my honour!?" Nazar kicked out at Thorvan's chest, before bouncing back. His weapons raised and ready to attack once again. At the same time, Arkadin fought to get his wounded comrade off the battlefield, doing what he could to suppress the rest of Throvan's squad with his rifle.

"Come on, Maykl, we're almost there!" Arkadin ducked to avoid enemy fire, "Get a medic!" He called out, before falling back with a grunt. He had taken a grazing shot across his abdonmen. Still, the Centurion clambered to his feet, clutching his comrade by the back of the neck and dragging him along, "Stay with me, Maykl! We're going to make it!"

Meanwhile, Volk waited as the Doomlord rushed towards him. While his vision was obstructed by his meat shield, he tracked Malebolgius's movements on his HUD, seeing the small red dot get ever closer on his minimap. At the last second, he threw the corpse forward with as much force as he could. Time seemed to slow down as the Legion Master ducked to the side, scanning for a chink in the Doomlord's armour while reaching for a grenade off his belt. A cruel grin crossed his face as his eyes found something that very well may be what he was looking for, but it did not last for long. His cry could be heard across the battlefield as his foe's Runemace smashed into his shin, smashing the bones in his left look into shards like glass. The Legion Master tumbled to the ground, roaring about every swear in the landfish language, cursing Malebolgius' name. Even with his left leg nothing but flesh and powder, the landfish crawled to get back on his feet, using one of his swords to prop himself up.

"No. No!" He roared as he stumbled and fell, trying to keep his balance on one leg, "You bastard! You can't kill me... NO ONE CAN KILL ME!"

The rest of the division was fairing about as well as the Legion Master. While they fought with the ferocity of a pack of feral wolves, their foes attacked them with just as much power, and their technological edge made itself ever apparent. Tank crews were forced to abandon their vehicles in fear of being ripped apart, or even burnt to a crisp inside their cockpits. Still, the tanks carried onward, their onboard computers taking control. While they were less effective this way, they did offer support for landfish units falling back to safer lines. Still, that didn't stop many soldiers to be taken prisoner, dragged off kicking and screaming behind enemy lines. This still did not stop the landfish from committing one final act of loyalty to Empire. Several soldiers, certainly not all, but the most fanatic were given the option to install a certain device in their armour, which once activated would detonate a miniature antimatter bomb, with a blast yield of 10 meters. Nothing large enough to put an end to the enemies advance, but enough to display their resolve. With a cry of "Slavay ann Karstovni!" meaning 'Glory to the Empire' in the native landfish tongue, dozens of explosions erupted across the battlefield.

239th Sun Breaker Marines
I, II & III Cohort: On Board Battle Cruiser, Kryma's Redemption
Near Caliph

The landfish cruiser exited warp only a few hundred miles from Caliph, instantly alerted by a cacophony of warning messages on the bridge. The crew jumped to action as an unidentified fleet appeared, cresting over the planet's Horizon. The ship's Archon jumped down from his platform above the bridge, strolling through the lines of consoles and other officers, all working on different tasks.

"Alert all crew, get everyone to their battle stations. Have them ready for a fight." He ordered, as a team of coms officers began working on getting the announcements over the ships loud speakers. "I want all Marines ready for boarding in no more than 10 minutes, aye?" He ordered, looking out the ships view finder at the group before him. These must be the New Earth Federation, he thought to himself. "Time to test their steel," The Archon whispered, reaching out for the ships radio to hail the fleet before him.

"Men and Women of the New Earth Federation, we are the Kryma's Redemption, of the Imperial Navy of the Great and Eternal Landfish Empire. You have no business in this system. Stand down now, or face the consequences."

Osric's Auxiliary Army
199th Light Armoured Division
Northwestern Front

"Osric, you're being overrun! Advise you fall back, let the field artillery clean up!"

"Nonsense!" The Inzili warrior roared, emptying several rounds through a Doom beast charging his position, "I will hold the line to my last breath!" He still had his men behind him, and his column of tanks, still generally intact, engaging the enemy marauder tanks. While the landfish G-44s Walkers lacked the maneuverability of standard vehicles, it made up with it with excellent fire power. Powerful energy shields could easily provide cover for Osric's Auxiliaries, and powerful hard light cannons mounted on the tanks could compete decently with their foes.

Artillery continued to bombarded enemy forces, often coming extremely close to Osric's men, but for the most part focussing on the Harvester, doing everything in their power to keep it from getting to close to the front lines.

25th Heavy Shock Battalion: "Objective Anvil"
Nova Rimworld
Extraction Zone

The sound of the shelling seemed to subsiding as Legion Warden Zhestokiy hurried up the stairs of the metro station he and most of his unit had taken cover in, leaving his hostage in the care of a fireteam. His own men also ceased to fire, as the Vektran private disappeared in the smoke of the attack. There was no point in firing anymore, it would just be a waste of ammo.

"Did you hit him?" The Warden asked.

"No idea, brother." A soldier sighed, "Don't suppose he'll make it far though, you beat his ass pretty good."

The Warden snorted, grinning, "Aye. Bird's are 5 minutes out, let's get ready to move once they get here. YOU!" He shouted down the tunnel at the fireteam guarding the president, "Bring that bastard up here!" The soldiers began to drag the man up the flight of stairs to the Metro exit near the extraction zone, as President Vissari bled profusely from his leg. It would be a challenge for Vissari to stand on his own, due to the holes now making his knee cap look like a piece of Swiss cheese.

"Overwatch, this is Skarog! Be advised, LZ is hot!" The Warden hissed over his radio, as the shelling slowed. Judging that it was now safe, he motioned with his hand for his men to move out of the metro station, "Move and secure... engage hostiles on site." On other sides of the road, more legionaries pushed out of buildings where they had to taken cover. Suddenly, the sound of gunfire erupted once again, as landfish soldiers formed a line down the road as a Vektran mech raced towards them.

"Dammit! Engage! Engage!" The Warden roared. He jumped towards the fire team escorting Vissari, pushing the Vektran President behind the wreckage of and old car for cover. "You're people are determined, I'll give them that..." He spat at the President, before raising his rifle and opening fire on the Mech.

1st Battlegroup

The Senior Captain stood up and walked to the edge of the walk way, where he looked over the rest of the bridge crew. A eriee cloud of silence soon descended upon the crew as they waited for their captain's reponse. The Senior Captain then turned to the radio officer and spoke

"Tell all ships move to alert II, they have been ordered not to engage the incoming cruiser. I want to see if the Knight Captain want to talk to them"

"Yes sir"

"Also order all Troopers to prepare in case this goes sideways"

"Copy"

It was a few minutes later before a message was sent to the Landfish ship,
I have ordered this Battlegroup to disengage for now, any threating moves and we will open fire. I have talked to my Knight Captain and she would like to talk to you commanding officer personally to see if we can come to an agreement.

Space near Nova Rimworld
With the first missile salvo finished, 10 more ships appeared around 10 light seconds from the planet. These were planetary attack transports, massing half a million tons each, and each one was retrofitted with a pair of side-mounted particle beam cannons, design to spray wide areas on a planetary surface with lethal radiation levels while keeping structures, and machines, intact. Immediately afterwards, a message was sent to the Vektran commander.
From: Sugiyama Murai
To: Anastasia Dudnyk
We have just deployed 10 planetary attack transports in the field. While the continued orbital combat prevents them from deploying troops, they are designed with anti-surface weaponry and you can consider them to be at your disposal for providing your ground troops with space support.

Nova Rimowrld
20km from Surface, Currently en-route to Objective: Anvil
23rd 'Roasters' Helljumpers Division

The Helljumpers were a branch of the Constitutional Marines meant for Orbital Drop insertions, and the mission high command gave them was important as 'Anvil' could end the war faster with less casualties.

"Alright boys and girls, plan is simple, we support our friends down their to get that damn president out and then we get out also, simple as that" their CO Knight Captain Gorov said as anti-air fire poured out on them, taking out some pods, a chorus of yes sir was heard after.

"Exfil will arrive as soon as our job is done, now how do we go in marines?" he said

"FEET FIRST INTO HELL!" they all yelled

"Damn straight, see you all topside" he said as he switched off the monitor.

The ride was bumpy, some holes were in his pod from fire, miraculously, he was unschathed.

As soon as they hit the ground, loud thuds were heard and doors popped open and they came out, guns blazing, shooting at anything that had an enemy IFF Tag

"Mech on the far side, AT!" one Helljumper yelled, but it was destroyed before the AT crew came as a group of dropods smashed into the mech, the occupants had come out fine.

This Imperial Ministry Exploration Group, the man sounded too eager to send a diplomat and a bureaucrat which meet that they really already had a planet in the system but it was destroyed.....and that they really need a planet to colonize. Anyway he did what any good captain would, and ordered the HKC and point defenses, then had them point at the Ministry ships, just I case that they decided to attack.

Once the shuttle had dicked with the lead frigate the Imperial Ministry was greeted by a welcoming party of Paladins and Troopers who stood at parade rest on either side of the door with about 5 feet of space between each soldier. A lieutenant walked forward

"Welcome, please follow me" he said turning around

Operation Mirmidon

Postby Vektra » Mon Aug 01, 2016 5:08 am

The hover mech roared through the street, dodging everything that was shot against them. He shoted several smoke grenades in the direction the shots came.

"This is the farest i can go without risking ourselfs. I will give you fire cover, now move!"

Elongur left the hover car and run to take protection behind an abandoned hover car, and, using the smoke coutain, she continued advancing, from cover to cover
Meanwhile, the mech began it's transformation in less than 4 secons

"Behemoth, this is ghost. I'm taking the right flank from this street, do you copy? Let's advance all what we can using the mech as cover, over"

Massive plasma bolts from the mech gatling canon were shot directly were the enemies were before the smoke grenades were shot, creating small explosions, something that made the white smoke look blueish.
A noise from motors could began to be heard now. From the distance, dozen of black figures, still unidentifiable for human eye because the distance, were aproaching, something that made Elongur look behind. She didn't had any notice about an enemy or friendly air assault. Blue dots... that meant friendly units.

Nova Rimworld

Lazurania army

Get in positions. Cover our allies!! Anti tank units, get ready to blast enemy tanks as soon as they appear! Medics! Treat the vektran wonded! We will use our numerical advantage and we will storm them! Charge!!
Lazuranian were elite fighters in urban and close combat fights, as they learned and mastered it on the streets of Nova Moscovya. As so, a high amount of units, had flamethrowers, and began burn dozens of Polis soldiers in front of them, while the regular troopers charged against the enemy battle line.

The vektran hover tank, continued shooting its main canon and blaster heavy machineguns against the enemy, devastating everything it hit.

The vektran army that stormed the metro station from the Market square time before, and managed to enter the stations from diferent stations after Landfish destroied the direct entrance, were begining to arrive. For now, the enemy were being assaulted from one direction, but if they decided to flee, there was no place to run...

Nova Rimworld
Operation Valkyre

Thousands of space fighters hunted downs as many Thautum dropships as they managed to enter the atmosphere. From the beggining of the invasion, the skies have been under vektran control, and trying to enter with dropships so easely and carelessly will cost the enemy thousands of deads.
From now onwards, the enemy will suffer constant attacks from the skies. The bombardment will never cease. The tank hunting will never stop. And the air assaults with dropships, will began to drive the enemy crazy.

Nova Rimworld, will never fall, as the last vektran defender remain alive, there will be alwais resistance.

Nova Rimworld, behind the frontlines

Histos' unit soared through the skies calmly until some ships started to receive a hail of bullets. The ship that Histos road in shook violently. He opened communications with the other ships and pilots "Status report!" "We are taking heavy fire from Vektran fighters. Our fighters are trying to fight back" "Damn, we keep this up and we'll create a completely new war front" "what are your orders?" "Prepare the mounted AA turrets and get those fighters out of the fight" "yes sir". Another pilot interrupted the conversation "Sir some of the drop ships are taking heavy damage. Some of our shields are at 32%, our armor may hold but not for long" "We'll need a new battleplan" "Sir we have received a message from the other convoy, it seems that the Doom legions have begun to open fire on them. The enemy there has a small invasion fleet of warships armed with great firepower" "Well it seems the frontal assault has commenced sooner than expected". The count thought to himself for a brief moment and then began to give orders once more "Call in more destroyers to support them and call two more to aid us, meanwhile we will have to deploy some men here and have them advance on foot from there to ensure our forces get to the Landfish forces. Decoy pods will be deployed first to distract the enemy and after the decoys are deployed I want some of our forces to get into the actual landing pods and deploy. This way we take limited casualties. Those of the gunships that sustain too much damage must.attempt to crash land while we continue our route to the Landfish. The gunships that crash land will have there men proceed on foot." "You mean of they survive" "Correct" "Alright then we will proceed with your plan milord" "Remember to keep those damn Vektran fighters off of us as much as possible" "Understood". The twin linked AA guns turned around and opened fire on the enemy raining bullets on them.

Nova Rimworld, Low Orbit

The destroyers took heavy fire from Doom legion ships and it seemed as if they were engulfed ny green light. "By God's name the bastards really hit us hard" the captain looked over to the lieutenant next to him "Lieutenant what's our status!" "We have lost a couple gunships sir but we still have sufficient numbers but now most of our destroyers have shields at below fifty percent" the captain had to act fast "Did Histos give us a reply?" "Yes he said he.is.sending for more destroyers, about eight more" "Well then we have to hold the enemy back until reinforcements arrive. Order the fighters to distract the enemy turrets and while the enemy is busy with the fighters the bombers will strike at the enemy turrets to disable them. Our ships will fire concentrated volleys at the enemy ships and the gunships will try to.advance slowly along with the rest of us and will provide support fire with their mounted AA turrets" "Understood captain Rampel" "I hope to God that we survive this day"

Troaet, Surface

The drop pods smash into the ground at great velocity, cracking the earth as they do so. Infantry and conscripts emerge from the pods ten thousand strong. Tanks, equipment, and artillery pieces are sent down as well. The additional artillery troops start preparing the mobile plasma artillery and plasma tanks begin to move into position. As the soldiers prepare themselves the squad captain begins receiving orders from the knight Castemphel, as do the rest of the soldiers. ""Alright men your job is to make a push against Vektran forces to relieve the Landfish fish a bit meanwhile the rest of the gunships will deploy elsewhere to surround the enemy assaulting the gates. That is all, make Thaitum proud comrades and remember non sibi sed patriae"

Nova Rimworld
Orbit, Armageddon-Class Warship Mortis Nox

The Comms Officer approached Utgillion, bringing word of the unknown vessel that recently arrived in the system.
"Sir, we have recieved a reply." He said as he brought the message on screen. "They claim to be neutral at the time and state to not seek hostilities against us, it appears to be a single vessel performing recon, however they are still cloaked and moving, we can't determine their current position, not even the Probes are detecting anything, their stealth tech must be highly advanced. It is possible there are more ships hiding out there." Reported the officer.

"Hrm, very well then. We'll keep our focus on the battles here but we should keep an eye open for these strangers." Said Utgillion in response.

The fleet was still pouring fire at the Thaitum forces approaching the planet. Lower caliber weapons were shooting down dropships, ignoring the Destroyers present, those recieved fire from weapons like Plasma Turrets and Heavy Railgun Batteries. The Legion Fleet would pummel them out of existence with sheer firepower alone.

"Enemy strike craft on approach." Stated an Operator. "Deploy interceptors?" He asked.

"Yes. Have the interceptors engage them before they reach our ships. Have our Armageddons deploy some of their Fenrirs aswell, in case an enemy slips through." Ordered Utgillion, and his commands were obeyed.

From the fleet's carriers emerged hundreds of Frenzy-Class Droid Fighters, fast strike craft armed with laser and torpedo weapons both, ideal for taking out enemy fighters and bombers.
The hangar doors of the Armageddon's opened up aswell, from those emerged a few dozen Fenrir-Class Interceptors for each ship. Piloted by people instead of A.I. and equipped with both lasers and Heavy Railguns and even fitted with a small shield generator, they are an ideal defense against all kinds of strike craft.

Nova Rimworld
Mor'talïx and Elongur

Mor'talïx launched himself into the air from the hovermech, landing on the street, cracking the surface under him. The mech had laid down a curtain of smoke, but Mor'talïx doubted it would do them much good, the enemy surely had other ways to detect them, like heat vision, built into their visors or helmets. Wouldn't help them against him though, his form was stone cold, not even his weapons emitted heat, courtesy of being a Deathless.
The Vektran mech provided an excellent distraction, allowing him to fade into the smoke and shadows just like before.
"I'm moving to the left, we must locate our target before they can escape. I will see if I can detect the president." Communicated Mor'talïx to Elongur.
He dashed and rolled through the street, avoiding the main firefight between the enemy and the mech. He moved quickly but slowed for a second when he heard a groan coming from a car he passed by. Using his own specialised vision, he saw a person lying against the car, clearly badly injured, without medical attention he would most likely die soon. Mor'talïx approached, this person was no Landfish, but Vektran. Stripped and injured, he lay against the car, he couldn't even see Mor'talïx thanks to the smoke alone. When he was up close, the Deathless deactivated his cloak and appeared right in front of the injured soldier. Startled, he raised his weapon defensively but did not fire.
"Calm yourself, Vektran. I am no enemy." Whispered Mor'talïx into the young soldier's mind. "The President, where is he?" He demanded from him.

Northwestern Front

The Nightharvester was being pummeled heavily by enemy artillery, the large beast drew a great deal of enemy fire to it. This did often put foes at risk of getting hit by their own artillery, as the Nightharvester was well behind enemy lines still, snuffing out and crushing foes wherever they tried to hide. Though the creature did not feel pain, it did notice that it was weakening. Its injuries were great and violet energies were now actively bleeding from it, but the beast was determined to fight on to the last breath.

It did not stand unsupported though, besides the occasional flock of Venolisks that passed over the battlezone, friendly artillery was striking back at the enemy with terrible power and not too far behind, battlelines of Marauders and Legionnaires battled their foes relentlessly.

Doomlord Gallidius was still in the middle of the fighting, leading his command squad across the battlefield. He pulled his Runeaxe from the decimated corpse of one of the strange beast-men and gazed into the distance. The sounds of artillery and explosions filled the skies and all around him were shouts and the clang of metal on metal.
"Those enemy tanks are starting to get annoying.." He grunted. "Battlemaster, get me some Magi, I want them dealt with." He shouted to one of his Senior Battlemasters. The Battlemaster saluted and ran off. Several minutes later he returned with a handfull of Magi, Pyromancers mostly.
"Brothers, I need you to do something about the enemy armour, I don't feel like waiting for our own tanks to break through their shields, we've been stalled long enough as it is. Any suggestions?" Asked Gallidius.

One of the Magi stepped forward and saluted. "My lord, I have an idea. Me and my fellow Pyromancers could, if we get close enough, summon Emberback Elementals in their midsts, they should be able to wreck their tanks and anyone else in the vicinity." He said.

"Hmm, a bold plan. Very well, see if you can pull it off, I can give you two squads for support. Do not fail me." Replied Gallidius, and his troops saluted and moved out..

Southwestern Front

Thorvan growled as one of the strikes against his back pierced his suit, nicking his back. Still, he fought on. "Hrr, enough talk! It's time to finish this once and for all!" He yelled and he struck out with both his weapons, performing a dual downward strike.

Sindrannox and the others exchanged some more shots with the others of Nazar's squad. "They are running!" Shouted Phagilius. "Don't let them escape!"

"Don't worry." Replied Sindrannox. "They won't." The Battlemaster grabbed a grenade from his belt, on it was a crying skull. He activated it and tossed it right in the middle of the withdrawing foes, who were immedeatly showered in a smoking, blue liquid: Pandora's Tears. The Biochemical weapon would seep through the gashes and gaps in the enemy's armour which they suffered from the battle, and dissolve their organic tissue. A horrible way to go.

Meanwhile, Malebolgius continued battling Volk. The dead Legionnaire Volk tossed against the Doomlord was knocked to the side by the charging warrior. Noticing his foe was trying to dodge, Malebolgius quickly struck out with his Runemace, hitting Volk in the shin. The force and discharge of the Runes turned Volk's bones into paste.

Turning to the squirming Landfish, Malebolgius laughed. "Pitiful, foolish little Landfish. I will not kill you.." He said as me moved over to his foe, stepping down on Volk's injured leg just to make him scream some more. "No, I will DESTROY you!" He yelled, and then, while keeping his foe from running by pinning his leg, he raised his Runemace for the killing blow..
Cum is stored in the brain, and I've got a headache.

Space above Nova Rimworld, aboard the UGM Mercurius-class Corvette Imbres Venient
11:07 AM Terran time
Iudas Rufus

Darkness. Light. A nudge to the left.
"Captain, adjust your course three degrees to the left."
"Affirmative, centurio. Adjusting three degrees to the left."
What more? No, never. Breaking? Absolutely not. Ever? Perhaps. Three. Once more down.
"Captain, three degrees downwards."
"Affirmative. Three degrees downwards."
Down? What is? Surely does not matter. No directions. Nothing. Space, empty space. What's happening?
More? No. Soon. Soon soon soon. Out of fight, into fire. Fire? Fire. Blossoming fire.
"Captain, we are nearly there. Do you remember what you are to do?"
"Aye, centurio. I am to go into geosynchronous orbit above the atmospheric insertion point as close to the planetary shield as possible for a quick deployment and exfil. Then we go back the way we came."
Iudas nodded, retracting his mind from the dark abyss of consciousness. His work was done, the captain no longer needed guidance.
"That is correct, captain. Should we break radio silence, you must obey any command we are to give you, affirmative?" The captain nodded. Judas observed him. He was Gaiae, for certain. He had pitch black hair that went down to the base of his neck, trimmed just within regulations, but only just. His bangs curled, keeping them just at eyebrow level. Surely, those were longer than regulation standards. Perhaps the curling allowed him to be a special case. The captain looked up at him.
"Sir," he asked, "may I help you?" Iudas blinked, before shaking his head and making his way out of the bridge. How long had he been staring? Whatever, it didn't matter. The captain was beneath his concerns, anyway.

Surface of Shavu
11:10 AM Terran time

On the surface of Shavu, the castra came to life. One by one, the circular structures in their centers blinked online, now standing even taller than the walls of the castra. Brilliant beams of electric blue burst out of the tops of the cylinders- which had now opened up like flowers- and separated at their apices and came cascading down to completely cover the grounds of the castra and all of the trenches that had been dug. Their walls and buildings had been completely completed, all finished with the brilliant white paint. The middle squares of all the castra were still barren with the exception of the command buildings. The builder drones had even taken the liberty of painting ash-coloured lines onto the walls and buildings, giving the illusion of 'bricks'.
Then, the castra awoke.
"Salvete, omnes. Ego sum Minister castri Amy, Linda effatus"
"Salve, Minister castri Amy, Ego sum Minister castri Belt, Lucius effatus"
If Linda could smile, she would have. It was nice to know she was not alone. Having just come out of her 'sleep', Linda ran a diagnostics check on herself. All systems green. No corruption or missing data. Fully operational. Linda could barely contain her excitement. Finally she was able to do what she was created to- run a castrum as efficiently as possible. It was her purpose, her eudaemonia, and she couldn't be more happy. She projected her avatar (a simple woman in simple robes) and voice into the helmets of all auxilia milesque that would be living in her castrum.
"Ladies and gentlemen," she started, smiling brightly, "ego sum minister castri tui. It is a pleasure to be working with all of you. If you are currently digging trenches, there will be no need for that anymore." That would surely get their attention! "The builder drones will take care of that. In the place of work, I invite you all to the mess hall, where servi ancillaeque tui will be ready to prepare a feast celebrating the completion of construction of castrum Amy. I look forward to 'seeing' all of you!" Linda cut off the connection, pulsing with joy- or whatever joy was like to an artificial intelligence.

Surface of Shavu, trenches around Castrum Amy
11:15 Terran time
Iulius Caecilius

A tremendous shout rose up from the trenches as all the auxilia celebrated the announcement. The miles were less enthusiastic, but still very pleased with the development. Iulius, Marius, and their pun-hating squadmate Marcus climbed out of the trench and began walking back with the rest of their squad.
"What do you think we'll have for lunch," asked Iulius. "I hope it's something good- like steak and mashed potatoes." Marius chuckled.
"That would be nice, but I bet we'll probably just have some form of thanksgiving MREs instead." Iulius rolled his eyes, smiling.
"Don't be a buzzkill, Mari. You know we have fresh produce and animals." Marius shrugged.
"Well, you're the one that's gonna be disappointed when you get served turkey-flavoured nutrient paste and," he raised his fingers and made air quotation marks, "'cranberry' sauce." Iulius snorted. Marcus shook his head, chuckling.
"What do you think, Alexander," asked Marius. Alexander inclined his head thoughtfully, and through his depolarized visor they could see him glancing up to the top right of his vision, a clear indication of thought.
"I'm thinking we're going to be having pork... and coleslaw." Iulius and Marius nodded in approval.
"I'm hoping for sushi," added Marcus.
"Isn't that the weird raw fish stuff on top of rice," asked Marius.
"No, that's nigirizushi," Marcus replied. "Commonly referred to, wrongly, as either sushi or sashimi."
Marius snorted. "Gee, I didn't know you were some sort of connoisseur, Marce."
Marcus frowned and continued on.
"Hey," Iulius started, "don't decry him just because he knows more than you about a certain type of food. I mean, you can name all the different types of beer off the top of your head." Marius rolled his eyes, but didn't respond. Alexander chuckled, giving Iulius a thumbs up. Iulius smirked and took a bow. Marcus seemed to perk up a bit as well.

Geosynchronous orbit around Shavu, aboard the UGM Iupiter-class battleship Artes
11:20 AM Terran time
Quintus Iucundus

Quintus sighed hopefully. Maybe she'll thank me. Maybe she won't be like the other auxilia. Quintus had more than his fair share of run-ins with condescending auxilia. Honestly, he couldn't fathom why they had to be such asini to him and the other servi. He hadn't even washed out of the training programs- he had just not been good enough to secure a spot as auxilium. He, just like most of the other servi, could fight just as well as any auxilia- or at least, had been trained just as well. Why not just draft a bunch of suitable candidates to be auxilia and then a bunch of other candidates to be servi? it makes no sense. Why bother training us all if so many are just going to wash out or not score high enough? Absolute merda. At least some of them are nice. What was that one guy's name? Iulius? Something like that. Quintus continued pushing the cart of food down the pristine hallway. Since there were many soldiers deployed to the surface of Shavu, there were many room openings. Many soldiers that were previously crammed into rooms with each other now had other rooms to move into- at least for a few months. This woman had been one of those soldiers. Speaking of her... Why'd one woman order all of this food? Surely she has friends over. There's no other explanation. Quintus continued downwards, grumbling to himself about being a serf. At least the pay is nice and the robes are comfy. That was one thing, he admitted. Serfs in the military were treated just as well as any auxilia. He enjoyed that. It was nice to feel appreciated. Yeah, I guess it's necessary. I mean- without us, the whole military wouldn't be able to function! Quintus allowed a smile to creep onto his face. Without nos servi everyone would have to make their own food and clean their own ships. Without us, they'd be hopeless! Finally, he arrived at the room he was supposed to deliver this food to. Before he could knock, however, a voice called from inside.
"Intra! The door is unlocked!"
Shrugging, Quintus opened the door.
Oh, dei.
To say Quintus was shocked was an understatement. Sitting on her bed polishing her lasrifle was the person he was supposed to deliver the food to- a Ms. Melissa Metellus. What the order had failed to mention was that she was a two meter tall superhuman engineered to kill anything that stands in the way of the imperium.
It had also failed to mention that she was stunningly beautiful. Quintus gulped. He was hardly nineteen, and here he was standing in front of a gorgeous woman that could most likely end his life in record time.
"H-hello," he managed to choke out. By the gods, Quintus, get yourself the fuck together. Shaking himself, he smiled brightly. "You are Miss Melissa Metelle?" She smiled at him. Oh gods I am not ready for this.
"Yes, I am. Please place the food on the desk over there." She nodded her head towards a desk pushed up against the right wall, with many writing implements and a lamp pushed off to the side to make room for the plates of food. Quintus bowed, pushing the cart inside and beginning to place the several plates on the desk. Quintus glanced at her. It appeared all of her attention was focused on polishing her lasrifle. What's she polishing it for? It's just going to get dirty again... Bluh, whatever, Quinte. Just put the fucking food on the desk and go. The plates barely fit on the desk. It was a miracle he didn't have to move any of her stuff.
"That's all, centurio," said Quintus, finishing.
"Gratias tibi ago," she replied. "And, please don't call me that. Melissa is fine."
Oh gods oh gods oh gods oh gods oh gods
"Oh, I see. Well, it's very nice to meet you, Melissa." Quintus bowed once more, and began to pull the cart out of the room.
"Nice meeting you as well." Then she looked up at him, expectantly. After a few tense moments of staring (Quintus was sure he had done something wrong) Quintus replied,
"Uh, Quintus. Mihi nomen Quintus Iucundus est." She smiled again. Ffffffuuuuuuuu...
"Nice to meet you, Quinte. Have a nice day." Quintus nodded.
"I, uh, will." Then he finished pulling the cart out and closed the door.
Quintus had pushed his cart several doors down before he allowed himself to release the breath he had been holding.
Oh gods, I hope I don't have to go back there. That was terrifying.
When he got back to his working quarters, he made sure to look out for any more orders from her. Just in case I know to tell someone else to do it.

Space above Nova Rimworld
11:30 AM Terran time

"The warlocks are ready on your Raven, Candela," asked Nivea.
"Affirmative," came the reply. "We are ready to begin masking once the countdown to the blink jump begins." Nivea nodded, even though Candela wasn't there to hear it. The three Raven gunships that housed Instinct, Mystic, and Valour were floating just under the doors that lead to the vehicle bay of the Imbres in an arrowhead formation- with Candela's raven at the tip. They were still within the Cloak and Mask bubble, though that would soon change.
"Attention, we are making blink jump in five." Two warlocks began Masking the presence of the three dropships- though not nearly to the extent that the Imbres could achieve. With strong enough sensors, one would be able to break through. They were, of course, completely visible as well as soon as they left the Cloak bubble. Judas was in the cockpit, relaying instructions to the pilot.
"Four"
Teams Instinct, Mystic, and Valour checked their weapons for a final time. This was it.
"Three"
They were ready.
"Two"
The Ravens began moving, going out of the Cloak and Mask bubble around the Imbres
"One"
They were completely out, the coordinates were locked, and they were entering the shield bubble- and atmosphere- of Nova Rimworld.
"Blinking."
They entered completely, and they were gone in a flash.

. . .

There was a judder and crack of misplaced air as the three Ravens blinked into the atmosphere of Nova Rimworld, just above the tops of the skyscrapers.
"MOVE." Came the shout over the comms, as the bay doors of the Ravens opened and teams Mystic, Valour, and Instinct piled out onto the roof of a skyscraper. Hissing in exertion, the two Warlocks waved off the Ravens. They would not be able to mask them any longer. In another, more silent second, they were gone. There was a slight rush of air as it made to fill the gap the Ravens had left.
The insertion was a success. If one at objective Anvil was being attentive- one would be able to see this happening, far off enough that the Raven gunships would appear as small, white, unmarked ships about the size of a small fly. They were X-shaped, with jets on the end of each 'wing', and a central cockpit and troop bay in the middle. That would have been all they saw due to the distance and time they were in atmosphere.
Immediately, the Warlocks toned down the Masking to cover only the three squads of centuriones while they all dropped to the 'ground' of the roof of the skyscraper to reduce their visibility- except for the Hunter-class centuriones. These three (one for each team) engaged their Cloaking devices, completely fading from view.
Operation Troia had begun.

Agric Beta, Orbit-Planetside:

Readings of an anti-matter device were being picked up by Halvatian officers at the Taigawanese FOB, which concerned the officers greatly. The possibility of an Anti-Matter bomb was very real and if activated it would be devastating, despite only potentially killing a small amount of Halvatian marines. Halvatia did not like to take unnecessary losses and worked to use an emergency teleportation system to warp the one thousand Halvatian marines or so back to the ships currently in Agric Beta Orbit. Halvatian officers also communicated with Taigawanese marines, telling them to at the very least prepare for the worst situation. Halvatia would offer Emergency teleportation to its Taigawanese allies in the case that it was a bomb.

Moments later, Halvatian suspicions were confirmed as a loud boom followed by a bright flash of light and a small earth quake sounded off near by, an Anti-Matter bomb was being used by Ministerial. However further readings seemed to suggest that it was a controlled blast, only meant to destroy the immediate area as to eliminate any trace of Ministerialian involvement. Halvatian marines, however, were quickly teleported back to Orbit and by the skin of their teeth, no Halvatian marine or officer or pioneer on Agric Beta was killed. However the Emergency Teleport was shotty for some reason and pioneers had to work to fix it as it could not be used again for a long while. Sabatoge perhaps, or maybe an idiot who didn't know how to connect certain things, only a small investigation would tell. It is currently unknown, however if the Taigawanese soldiers on the planet made it and the Reich hoped that they took the offer to have them teleported to Halvatian ships.

Moments later, after the Antimatter bomb:

The Halvatian Colony ship as well as the extra transport ships have finally arrived at Agric Beta's orbit, they met up with the Halvatian ships that were going to strike Ministerial. Without any further hesitation, The Halvatian colony ship entered into the Planets orbit on the North Eastern Side. The Colony ship landed in the matter of seconds and as soon as it landed, it began to colonize the planet, even transforming certain parts as the need arised. The Halvatian Wehrmacht immediately began working with Halvatian Pioneers to build fortifications and military structures which would be completed in a day or so.

Medical camps and immediate refugee housing was also established for any and all refugees found lost and distraut from the recent attempt of genocide against them from ministerial. Education centers were also established to get the Natives used to the Halvatian way of life and to teach them the language. This would also help Colonization efforts as the Natives were more knowledgeable about the planet and how to work it properly. This would also help military recruitment as some of the natives were ready and willing to fight for one of the empires that helped save them. Propaganda was also established, including towers and other methods to convince the natives that the Reich was the best choice.

After a day or so, two decent sized Halvatian cities were established on the North East part of the Planet, both with equal defensive capabilities and both with weapon, vehicle and armor factories to further cement Halvatias defensive capabilities and control of the planet. However, production would be a bit slow as the work force, for the time being, was more concerned about defense than anything, so production would be rather slow.

Growth for the two cities would be controlled as not to have too wild of a population and to build as needed to maintain a balanced system. Despite it being only a day, Halvatian defensive structures were minimal at best, but would become stronger over a period of a week and possible sooner, given any possible threat comes towards Agric Beta. The Halvatian forces on Agric Alpha would also be moved to Agric Beta to further support the Halvatian colonies and to increase defensive capabilities and production capabilities and speeds. This would happen in a day or so. The Entire 12th would also move to Agric Beta's Orbit as well, leaving no Halvatian influence on Agric Alpha besides the super structures built by the Reich to support its Taigawanese ally. The structures were unable to be reverse engineered however, as they were beyond too advanced to be understood. As Halvatia wanted Taigawa to progress at a decent pace with their technology and didn't want to over burden them.

Drone Detected on Agric Beta:

Halvatian central command on the first city picked up readings of a foreign drone near by and a small scouting team was sent out to investigate. 5 Halvatian Wehrmacht in a small scout vehicle, nothing too elaborate, were sent from the first city which had yet to be named.

The distance to the drone was relatively unknown but enough was known to figure out the general direction. The signal would get stronger as the scouting team got closer. Soon, the scouting team with reach what they were looking for.

FOB, Agric Beta

The Antimatter blast was fortutely blocked by the Bane of Weapons tower constructed just before the bomb had been detonated. However, the corvette-class warship sent to communicate with the genocidal nation was destroyed, and everyone aboard it were killed.

Primary City, Agric Alpha

The foundation of the space elevator was nearing completion as small arcologies began to be built at it's base. It would be a good while before any of these building were complete, but it was a sign that the colony was flourishing. The cities on the planet had yet to be named, but after the elevator went up, they would be.

Agric Beta, location unknown

The dorne was flying along scanning and photographing the native flora and wildlife, then it stopped it had picked up a mechanical object on its long range scanners. It could been seen hovering of the ground for a few moments before slowly moving in that direction and while heading that way scanning the wildlife and flora that it hadn't scared before.

Nova Rimworld
Surface, South-Western Front
384th 'Marauders' Power Armor Contingent

Commander Greystone saw the defeat of the Legion Master, and as what he'd assumed to be the second highest ranking officer on the South-Western front he knew it was a matter of time before he was the Doomlord's next target, by all means he would try his best to end the bastard, but he wasn't stupid, if it's one thing he knew, it was that even if the enemy was one person, never dare say it's not a big problem.

"Eagle 3-4 and Saber 2-7, get ready to engage the Doomlord on my command" he radioed in "Copy that boss, ready to re-deploy when needed" they replied back, for the meantime he continued to lead the troops around him, still ready for any fight.

Nova Rimworld
Surface, Metro Line
243rd 'Frontliners' Mechanized Batallion

As the medics were tending to the wounded and engineers were busy cutting out parts of the train where survivors were located, no one noticed the transports with reinforcements were coming through.

The lead vehicle, a Scorpion tank stopped in the middle and fired its dual railguns at enemies, HEF slugs loaded, troops began to disembark as a hail of green bolts of plasma began to overpower the enemy, one of the engineers shouted.

"Reinforcements have arrived!"

Nova Rimworld
Surface, Vektran Shield Generator
743rd 'Predator' Gunship Assault Airwing

With the scarcity of ground forces Battlegroup Utguard brought, they made up in terms of support weapons, like gunships.

From the sky, despite heavy AA fire, they could see the Landfish forces moving up towards the shiled generator, seeing them push up again, it was time to make their entry. All gunships began to dive into attack vectors, firing all heavy plasma and hardlight cannons, firing missiles every once and awhile as miniturized plasma lances danced around and minaturized plasma torpedoes splashed here and there.

Nova Rimworld
Surface, Objective Anvil
23rd 'Roasters' Helljumper Division

The Helljumpers right after their orbital insertion were quick to get into defensive positions, all of them were standardly equipped with jetpacks which they made use of as some decided to jump to roofs and windows, some even using them to turn themselves into makeshift CAS craft.

The Knight Captain quicjly informed the Legion master within the area of their pressence "Legion Master, this is Knight Captain Gorov of the 23rd, we're here to cover your exfil, what is the status of 'Anvil' over?" he waited for a reply.

From across a window, a Helljumper sniper looked through the scope of his rifle, he saw an injured Vektran leaning against a car, he took aim and made sure that the flash hider of his plasma sniper rifle was on the barrel, he looked through the scope again, this time, seeing a Deathless warrior, his blood ran cold, not fear of the Deathless but now he had to act quick and pick a target, the Vektran or the Deathless? He made his choice, he pulled the trigger and sent a blob of superheated plasma towards the center mass of the Vektran, the heat should have bursted and cooked all his internal organs, the sniper then ran towards another room to relocate "Deathless unit spotted, I think they're here to retreive their pet" he radioed on all allied frequencies.

Troaet
Surface, City of Kylanistow, Underground Shelter
Combined Forces of Alpha and Echo Squads, 174th 'Revolutionary' Spartan Company

The Spartans were now looking for the rats, but to flush one out was to force them out, Paladin Major Briggs had an idea.

"Deploy the mines here, here, here and here, set them to home onto Enemy IFF tags or Vektran Magnetic signatures, this should be fun." he said, fun was a word he scarcely used. The mines were deployed soon and began to roll around the bunker. These weren't ordinary mines, they were more of injections, they injected either a very strong acid or plasma, causing the enemy to litterally melt inside out.

"Legion Captain. Paladin Major Briggs, we have deployed roller mines ro hunt down our prey, not to worry these arent't explosive in any way, Briggs out" he dropped the line and the rest of them began to track the locations of the mines.

Nova Rimworld
Near "objective Anvril"

The young vektran covered himself as he could behind a car. He was tired, and his muscles were retilient to move again. "okay, gotta move. No one in my left, no one in my..."
-"What the" he aimed his battle rifle to what appeared instantly in fron of his eyes
-"Calm yourself, Vektran. I am no enemy." Whispered Mor'talïx into the young soldier's mind. "The President, where is he?" He demanded from him.

"Hurry, he is" he began to sput blood, as some of his internal organs were badly injured. He fought against his own pain, and looked directly to the Deathless eyes (or, at least, where the deathless eyes where supposed to be behind his helmet). "The last time I saw him, they were taking him inside that..."

A blue light iluminated the area near them. The vektran cautiously tried to look what was, and discovered a blue plasma bolt in front of his face, immobile. Then, he saw a figure that was partially under some cover. When he saw the figure mor closely, discovered her, with one hand in a "halt" position, aiming directly to the plasma bolt. "A section 9 agent!" he thought.

The boy took a better cover, to keep his head out of enemy fire.
"The enemy took him inside that metro entrance! I will provide you fire support and try to be as usseful as I can be in my condition!"

He then, confirmed his personal shield generator was active, and after that, took position and aimed his rifle against the enemy. He was going to return the shot to the one that shoted at him, but the mech went faster, and a full burst of automatic explosive plasma was shot against the enemy sniper.

Elongur advanced a little more, and saw multiple polis hostiles coming from the sky.

"Seems we have some bugs up there, behemoth."

A briliant light began to appear on the palm of her hand, and a small blue energy ball appeared. She aimed at the multiple hostiles still in the skies, aimed at the center of one group and... A dark explosion engulfed a dozen of enemies. The ones that were farthest of the explosion, were only half engulfed by it, and when the explosion dissapeared, only the part of their bodies that were not in touch of the explosion, fell from the skies... several half parts of some bodies smashed the ground, covering in blood its surroindings, while the rest of their bodies, and the allies totally engulfed by the explosion, never appeared...

Nova Rimworld
Energy Shield

The vektran and lazurnanian defendors, exploted the diferent traps set around the tower, and armed drones defending were deploied to support the regular troops and to watch any potential enemy trespasing the surroundings.
AA units doomed the skies. Any fool trying to be close to the shield tower, will be shot on sight. Meanwhile, the AA units were used to shot their automatic laser cannons against enemy armour and infantry alike.

This tower was behind friendly lines, after all, and reinforcements were called.
the MGs roared, shooting burst after burst against enemy infantry, while anti tank units were spoting for enemy armours.

Troaet

"Sir, the enemy bite the bait, what are your orders?"
"Start the bombardment. Shot the Yamato cannon at low. I only want to destroy a couple neighbourhoods, not the whole city or planet"
"Aye, captain. Orders have been sended. Preparing Yamato... 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.. Firing"

A yellow bolt was shot from the Imperator class. Any landfish that was present in Dumbster, will remember the exactly same colour and bolt when Dumpster was condemned to an Exterminatus.

However, this time, it was shot at very low energy, and it smashed Thaitum troops, creating an explosion that erased several neighbourhoods, creaiting a giant crater in middle of the city.
Meanwhile, the rest of the fleet continued shooting all the enemy warships present in the zone, except those previosuly destroiers set to doom the planet, who now turned their gunst to obliterate from orbit the Polis army, who just stood unprotected on the planet surface...

On the planet, the comandos infiltrated as they could inside the instalation, shooting and killing any enemy that presented a thread and couldn't be evaded.
Fastly, they entered inside a comand room, where landfish and Polis units were protecting.

"This must be it. There's a well protected room up there, brothers. Let's just do this, copy? Now, take cover, put your personal energy shields at maximum power, and let's do this!"

They took cover, storming the place in the proces. A soldier aimed his tachyon canon, and shoted against a couple soldiers that were standing in front of him, and like this, the battle inside the shelter begun..."

A message was sent prior to the shuttle's departure:
Do not worry, we will not bring any weapons. On the Shuttle, there will be a political officer and an ambassador. There are several soldiers, but they are unarmed.

The captain eyed the spaceship out of his window. He wasn't ready to trust these foreigners, and he wasn't sure of them. He made the troops in all three ships ready the cannons in case negotiations didn't go "correctly"

A political officer and an ambassador walked out of the shuttle. The political officer was wearing a dark grey trenchcoat and dark boots. He had a peaked cap with the Ministerial Dragon pinned to it. Meanwhile, the ambassador was dressed completely different. He was wearing long black robes with a black guanmao on his head.

They quietly observed their surroundings as they followed the lieutenant through the ship.

"Do you think we can trust these foreigners?" the ambassador whispered to the political officer
"They are a lot better than the others." the political officer whispered back

They continued to follow the lieutenant

As they headed form the docking bay to the the bridge they passed several groups of Troopers and Paladins that seemed to be patrolling the ship, as this was one if the many duties that they had. As one would have guessed all of the Troopers, crew members and Paladins where armed and in full combat gear save the crew who wore only their standard grey uniforms, black dress shoes, with brass ranking bars, and a holster for their pistols. They finally reached bridge, the lieutenant looked back behind him and then turned forward and opened the door, the captain turned around in his chair and looked at the Ministry party

"Welcome, please sit" he said waving his hand toward the seats on the other side of the holo projector

Bridge of the UGM Iupiter-class Battleship Artes
11:31AM Terran Time
Felix Vorenus

Felix strode briskly through the hallway leading up to the bridge, his head buzzing with excitement. Their first combat engagement- even if it was small and recon-oriented. Don't worry, Felix. There will be fighting soon enough. Stepping out into the bridge, he allowed himself a moment of appreciation for the view of Shavu. He wished he was down on the surface, at least. Felix had always preferred solid ground underneath his boots.
"Felix? Amice, do you have my report?" Felix pursed his lips.
"Unfortunately, we have not received word from the Imbres Venient. It is possible that she may have had to go dark due to mission complications." Septimus frowned. Felix hated giving bad news.
"What kind of complications, Felix?" Felix shook his head and shrugged.
"I do not know, Septime. It is possible she may have been detected in some form, or come under fire and needed to disappear. Either way, I am confident in the crew of the Imbres. Her first mate is one of my... More decorated operatives." At that, Septimus raised an eyebrow.
"Felix, perhaps it would be best to... not discuss matters such as that in a public area." Felix chuckled.
"Sir, with all due respect, I don't think the bridge crew would hear anything short of a warning klaxon. They're too embroiled in their work." Septimus sighed. "I thought you... Frumentarii were supposed to be secretive." Felix smirked.
"Septime, amice mei, we don't need to be secretive if nobody cares to listen in the first place, hmm?" Septimus shook his head slowly, giving a low chuckle.
"I suppose. Anyway, is there anything else I should know?" Felix pondered the question for a moment, his head tilting to the side.
"Hmm, well, not really." He paused for a moment. "However, I was going to recommend that you send some more scouts out." Septimus furrowed his brow.
"Felix, I will make this very clear. We cannot risk discovery. We are outnumbered heavily and without support from the Border-expansion Fleet." Felix shook his head. "No, I don't mean to the main conflict. There are a few worlds that are outside of our long-range sensors' reach. Warping to them would be a simple task and it would always be nice to have another base of operations in case this one is discovered." Septimus shook his head. "Felix, I will not allow it. What if some of those worlds happen to be occupied by one of these factions?"
"Which is why," Felix said, "we need to send scouts there. We will never know unless we try it. I already have a world in mind as well." Septimus scowled.
"I don't like this, Felix. Why should I risk more of my men going out and being captured or killed? Why should I risk us being discovered? I cannot allow this unless you give me a reason why none of the former will come to pass." Felix sighed.
"I have more operatives, a squad of them." Septimus sat back in his chair and narrowed his eyes.
"How many 'operatives' do you have on my ships, Felix," asked Septimus.
"This squad, the first mate of the Imbres, and around ten more scattered across the fleet." Septimus narrowed his eyes, before sighing and sinking deeper into his chair.
"Are you going to budge on this, Felix?" Felix shook his head, a grin beginning to form.
"Nope. What say you, Septime?" Septimus groaned, placing the palm of his hand on his face.
"Fine. However, you will send this squad only, for all of the planets you wish to survey. They will not return until they have surveyed all of the planets you wish for them to. If they are discovered, they will not return unless they are certain they cannot be tracked. You will also send only the minimum required amount of servants for them." Felix nodded.
"I accept these terms. However, Admiral, what if they find a new faction?" Septimus shook his head.
"They won't. If there was another faction, they probably would be fighting on Nova Rimworld."
"But in the event that they do?" Septimus groaned.
"Standard procedure." Felix made a small bow.
"Of course, Admiral. I will carry out your orders at once." Septimus nodded.
"Yeah." As Felix made for the doorway, Septimus called out again. "If we are discovered because of this, or if something bad happens, this is on you." Felix turned back and smiled broadly.
"Septime, I assure you, nothing bad will happen." Septimus didn't respond, so Felix made his way out. Once he entered the hallway, he placed his helmet on his head and opened up a channel to the leader of Aurum squad- the team he would be sending on this mission.
"Hey, Melissa? We have a green light. It's go-time. Get your team ready." Her laugh echoed in his helmet.
"That's wonderful, Prime Pile. I will do so at once. Felix nodded, even though she couldn't see it.
"Be careful, though. The Admiral wants you undiscovered and alive."
"Felix my friend, they will not know we are there. Proshchay"
"I don't speak your language, Melissa." She laughed again.
"I know you don't. Goodbye." Felix nodded again.
"Goodbye." And he terminated the call.
Closing his eyes and exhaling loudly, Felix gave a quiet thanks to the gods. He hoped to them that a new faction- willing to assist them- would be found. Of course, he knew that there wouldn't be. It was as Septimus said. Any factions who were here were most likely fighting on Nova Rimworld. And any who we haven't discovered yet are probably just scavengers or too weak to participate. He shook his head. At least knowing for certain nothing occupied the other planets was better than knowing nothing. O dei, date mihi pacem... Felicitatemque. Of course, there was the chance that the other planets were bases for the other factions like Septimus had already stated. Felix severely hoped that wasn't the case. Let's hope I live up to my name.

Surface of Shavu

Castrum Minister Linda

Linda felt her circuits pulse with delight as everything went exactly as planned. Everything was showing green, all across the metaphorical board. Oh, what fun! She 'thought' to herself. All preparations were completed for the signaling of the Border-expansion fleet. It was tiresome, yes, but humans were slow creatures- at least when compared to her. What had seemed like hours for her was merely minutes for them. She sighed, regarding them fondly. It takes them so long to eat! It had taken them five to ten minutes to walk to the mess hall, and they were only a quarter of the way through their eating! So lovely! In that time, Linda had optimized all of the systems and programs put in place, made sure she and all of other AIs were compatible, and had the builder drones construct a relay from which they could send their message. After that, it was a simple manner of using the relay to connect themselves- now united- to the network of information that flowed freely through their universe. They found where the 108th Border-expansion fleet was currently, (patrolling near some recently conquered space by the furthest reaches of the Imperium) and prepared the packet of information they had currently gathered. They also included their location. This would be sent across the relay, to be carried through the network of connectors that made up the web of all information in the Imperium, until it found rest with the 108th.
The packet had been prepared, and Linda was now given the honor of sending it off. She happily placed the packet into the relay's data flow, and sent it off.
And now, we wait. It would be several cycles until the information got to the 108th, and even more once they got it. Hopefully we won't all be dead by the time they get here.
Until then, Linda was happy to watch over her humans. Oh goodness, I think that one has eaten too much.

"No, we haven't seen any other colonized planets or planets that could be colonized in this system....I'm not sure about the other planets further in the system." Replied the Captain "I'm sorry that this is not the answer you are looking but, that's we know. What are you plans after colonization?"

This piqued the ambassador's interest, "What exactly do you mean by any other colonized planets that could be colonized in this system?" "Are they taken or are they just uninhabitable?"

The ambassador and the political officer started to shift forward. "Can you tell us?" the ambassador asked.
