This comes immediately after the Avrellian government's publicization of a shocking and incredibly gruesome video allegedly sent to its representatives by the government of the Hellgustine Empire, apparently as a threat. In the two minute and fifty-two-second-long clip, an unidentified woman can be seen being gruesomely decapitated with a large chainsaw. An unseen speaker then warns that, while Avrellon may continue to try to use diplomatic measures to force the Hellgustine Empire to back down, the Hellgustines themselves will respond only with "blood and iron." No details yet on the exact measures to be taken by the government, though the President has condemned this act as "senseless, pointless violence" and has characterized the Hellgustine leadership as "barbarous and without even a shred of humanity, decency, or honor."

UPDATE - 7:54 P.M. President Eskridge has outlined the basic objectives of the punitive operation to be undertaken by the Continental Armed Forces. Code-named "Urgent Fury," its primary objective is to render Hellgustine forces incapable of operating within the Humanian Theater of Operations. As is to be expected, the War Department is being very tight-lipped about the exact plan that they have in mind.
