'It appears I've made a mistake' Kennedy Rowan Coleman said softly. 'You are not interested in anything but the complete and utter destruction of Ardoki. You all want to eliminate our government, so a far-right SACTO force may seize power.' She said, truly believing every word. 'We can control Moriarty and O'Brien, they won't be committing crimes against humanity any more. At least they would do what is best for Ardoki. They don't want to destroy us!'
Nihon wrote:For a time, admiral and his wife were whispering something into their ears, talking about something while being visibly very exited. Indeed, soon Ambassador Amakusa went to write something, while the admiral stood up, spreading his hands. His katana - although the blade was dull and performed solely ceremonial function, it would be easier to strip leopard from it's spots than take a sword from Nihonese officer, citing it's ceremonial role - smashed against his leg as the tall, officer begun to speak, shocking the world with his words.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, honourable ambassadors and delegates of the international community..." he begun in very polite, calm and controlled tone, expressing great knowledge of rhetoric and culture "I arrived in here on behalf of Kojiro-tono ue, to represent Nihonese government in those negotiations, alongside my honorable wife. But I also had personal reason why I wanted to come in here. Why is it? Because I had a vision!" he said with emotional ending.
"I had a vision" he continued "that a day will come when this whole madness that has been running for several years will be put to an end. That Ardokians will cease killing everyone who does not sharing their believes; that they will stop sending Christians to toleration camps to be subject to sex change operations only because they dared to believe in some other "god" than Ardokian ominipotent and omniknowledgable state. I had this vision because I firmly believed that Ardokians will prove themselves to be honorable people - and I firmly wishes we will soon all forget our hate and live in peace, that antics of Moriatry and his cronies will be mentioned only in jokes about the past. Or at best - forgotten at all."
At this second the Admiral looked at Ardokian ambassador. She could easily say she never received a look at this. This was man no more - this was a real predator. Sight of his eyes resembled how tiger's eyes looked like when it stalked an antelope to kill; clam, confident, calculating every move... but expressing sight of superiority and disdain for it's prey. When coupled with scar - filled body and short beard, it indeed made the admiral resemble more a tiger than a man.
"Ardoki has been a tick on the globe for too long - and for too long Moriatry was allowed to suck blood of innocent people. For too long have the Ardokians been killing in the name of "progress", with all who defied the will of "immortal state" been tortured and killed. Question now is not a matter of international politics. It is a very matter of Nihonese honour. It is very matter of clear conscience. That long after we pass, our children will not look back on our deeds - and say that we had chance to change something - but we failed. This will not happen. For it has to be known that even if they will commit crimes no more - they still ought to be punished for ones they did, for nothing indicates any change of character in their hearts."
His voice was getting more and more emotional:
"We have been brought here, from nations that share little in terms of ideology. Us - Nihonese. Us - shazonites. Us - Hatyans. Us - Inyurstans. Almost every of our nations encountered the tide of tyranny at one point. Nihonese fought against Spain and it's attempt to force us to be colonized. Inyurstans, under leadership of brave Pierre D`Callero stood their ground against the socialist regime, of similar kind that dominates Ardoki today. Shazonites suffered much in the eleventh century, tortured all across Europe. What kept us forward was our sense of honor and dignity. It allowed us to overcome - and allowed us to win the battles of our lives. The same sense unites us today in face of yet another abomination."
Ardokian delegate would see now him touching his katana. This was not a gesture of threat - it was done when an oath was made.
'In the past, nations formed coalitions on multiple occasions. When Napoleon came to blitz across Europe, all nations rallied to stand for their survival. Nations stood against rise of Nazism - not a different ideology that what Moriatry practices now. Surely, peace is a good thing. But peace - as all things in this world - has it's price. High - but possible to be paid. We in Nihon do not know idea of peace above all. For there is only one thing in the lives of nations and states that is priceless - and that thing - IS HONOR!"
His wife was finishing the writ. The time was coming:
"Therefore... citing into account all crimes of Ardoki: tolerance camps, multiple genocide of entire populations, including Chielans, Ardokian Christians... invasion of Lebanon and Jezzine massacre; Shooting of civilian aircraft and others..."
Amakusa's face smiled, as he took finished writ from his wife to show it to everyone:
"Taking Christ the Heavenly King as witness, whose folk Moriatry persecuted and whose souls demand justice in front of his throne... and knowing that honor demands us to act in face of tyranny of the Ardokian state... realizing that Ardoki will not allow us to exist in peace and will do anything from the short list of it's means to harm us, as they proven with Jezzine Massacre and their attempts on the isles of Thassindulin..."
And at that moment, looking like a heroic statue, Amakusa shouted on all his throat:
"I proclaim Grand Coalition to be born!"
PROCLAIMATION OF THE GRAND COALITION
We, representatives of honorable nations gathered here today in New Orleans, expressing our common desire to uphold peace, realizing the threat posed by allowing the Ardokian influence to spread unchecked, knowing of the number of crimes committed by Ardokian leadership, realizing that Ardokian government failed to meet our expectations and peaceful solution to the current crisis, express our joint agreement for the following:
1) All parties agree that the government of Ardoki is a threat to international security, that has been in the past been involved in numerous offenses not just against international law, but against very humanity itself. Those crimes include, but are not limited to:
- Genocide of the Chilleans.
- Mass murders committed by the Ardokian forces in Aanglandia.
- Existence of Tolerance camps, prisoner experimentation and forced sex change operations.
- Jezzine massacre, shooting down of Lebanese airliner.
- Attempting to export "progressive revolution" abroad.
2) All parties agree to contain international influence of Ardoki through any means necessary; to jointly combat any movements associated with Ardokian state, and any of it's ideological proxies.
3) All parties agree to enact total continental blockade of Ardoki to cut it off international trade. Continental blockade should be carried by joint navies of all signatory states and would aim to totally cut the Ardokian continent from any outside access, blocking all outside trade.
a) Size of contributed forces will depend on signatory's capabilities and declarations.
b) All signatories should joint the continental blockade up to three weeks from declaration of the treaty.
4) All parties agree to embargo Ardoki and cease any economic relations, blacklisting products made in Ardoki and putting said nation under an economic embargo, as well as ensuring that Ardokian buisness will not spread until Alistaire Moriatry has been brought to justice.
5) All parties agree to jointly persecute all persons from Ardokian government involved in crimes against humanity, including information sharing and joint policing operations aimed at such personas.
b) For that purpose, an international military treaty will be established in Ishikawa, under jurisdiction of the members of great coalition.
6) All parties agree to provide military backup to each other in case of any Ardokian interference of military nature, as well as commonly stand up to any third party wishing to intervene on Ardokian behalf.
7) The treaty is valid as long as the goals of the Grand Coalition are not accomplished, with possibility of increase upon member's consent.SIGNED:

Kennedy Rowan Coleman was under the impression that this conference was aimed at reducing the tensions between the Ardokian and Dorian states. The Ardokian government was supportive of that, and had no fundamental issues with the Inyurstan draft treaty which was mentioned earlier. However, Coleman was not told the truth about this conference. She was not told that the real reason for the conference was to establish an alliance against Ardoki, an Ardoki which had expressed its openness to change and reform.
President Matchell Lerandu must have lied. This was all a scheme to unite countries against Ardoki. She was never seriously considered a negotiator; they just needed an excuse to unite all the countries of the world against Ardoki. N Awlins had forever lost the trust and respect of Ardoki, they were probably arch conspirators, vultures so keen to latch onto Ardoki like the parasites they are.
Kennedy Rowan Coleman rose from her seat. 'I see now. None of you ever had any intention to come to some sort of reasonable agreement to reduce tensions and repair relations. I was fine with the Inyurstan proposal, it looked very promising. I understood your hatred of Moriarty, and was willing to sacrifice him for the good of Ardoki. But now I know that was just a façade; you don't actually care about peace and justice, all you want is to attack and destroy Ardoki! A country which has committed itself to peace and expressed a willingness to reform and gain as much justice as possible for its previous crimes.' She started gathering her folders together. 'None of you care about any of that! I, am serious about reforming Ardoki; brining it into the 21st Century; acknowledging, apologising, and making amends for the horrendous crimes our regime is responsible for.' She left the table, but turned around to speak again to the other delegations.
'However, that can wait. It is clear you have declared war upon Ardoki. We will not allow our economy to collapse and our people to starve; we will fight for all Ardokians and Aanglandians against all those who wish to take away their rights and freedoms. We do not want war; we will do whatever necessary to ensure peace. However, as you had already drawn up an anti-Ardoki alliance it is obvious none of you have any intention to negotiate with us. I'll be returning to Ardoki immediately, if anyone here is serious about peace and justice, I'll be happy to arrange a meeting. Good day to you all. I apologise for leaving so rashly, but this conference was only intended to heighten tensions, and I will have no part in it.' She finished with.
And that was that. The Minister of External Affairs went straight to her hotel, packed her bags, and got on a flight straight back to Ardoki. She went to the conference hopeful for change, truly seeking better relations with the international community and justice for the victims of Moriarty and O'Brien. But now, she felt betrayed, she felt cornered, she felt fearful; maybe Moriarty was right about the international community, maybe they really did hate Ardokians.
Communique Officiál de la Républiqua D'Inyursta
The following letter is written with the purpose and cause of establishing our intent in regards to the current situation over Ardoki. Following a very quick series of both political debates and military command room discussions, and several polls gauging the support of the Inyurstan people we have reached the following two stances on the Ardoki situation.
First, is that La Républiqua D'Inyursta will partake in the blockade issued by the Grand Coalition, and if provoked or our attempts for non-violent justice are not met our commanders participating in this blockade will be given the liberty of engaging and capturing or destroying any vessel serving to support the Ardokian regime, be they militarial, commercial/industrial or any third party who would move in defense of such a regime.
Secondly, is a proposed resolution to the status of 60 Ardokian P.O.W.'s currently imprisoned in Inyursta after their surrender following active collusion and participation in the Jezzine Massacre, which left hundreds of Lebanese civilians dead as a result. Considering the nature of enlisted and low-ranking officers in the military, we are willing to pardon them for their participation in War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity and return these men to Ardoki if and only if the government of Ardoki hands over the following high-level criminals for trial and sentencing in Inyursta.
We will accept at least 20 individuals on the following list, including but not limited to:- Alastair Killian Moriarty
- Riona O'Brien
- Silvester Jakeman
- Raghnall Sloane
- Any general, marshal, admiral or equivalent guilty in the plotting and carrying out of the Aanglandian Invasion.
- Any officer or high level NCO guilty of massacres in Aanglandia
- Any officer responsible for plotting the Invasion of Lebanon
- Ship captain responsible for the Shootdown of Lebanese Airliner
- Program director or equivalent of the so-called "Tolerance Camps"
- Managers, on-site directors or equivalent involved with running the "Tolerance Camps"
- Program director or equivalent of Ardoki's illegal and inhumane scientific experimentation against human subjects (mainly political prisoners)
Managers, on-site directors, head scientists or equivalent involved with running the inhumane scientific experimentation facilities
- Camp directors, captains of the guard and any involved bureaucrat associated with the running and operation of the facilities used in the genocide and mass rape of between 250,000 - 5,000,000 individuals of Chilean heritage or nationality
This is our last attempt at non-violent negotiation, and needless to say we risk incontrollable dissent and social outrage at home if we continue these futile efforts with a régime hated by so many. That having been said we do hope for your nations sake that you find some way to come to these terms...
Signed:
- Président Jean-Baptiste Calderone
- Vice Président Alvaro Delacroiz
- Secretary of State Françisco Ardonez
- Secretary of Justice Nicolas LeRodeyelles
- Assembly Speaker Jacob de la Porçéza
