I think I'm just going to make this my go-to response for this kind of mental laziness masquerading as a point. It'd probably be just as effective as actually pointing out the complete lack of reasoning (IE: it wouldn't be effective), while still keeping me sane.

Fun fact, muzzle loading cannons aren't regulated.

I thought the same, but muzzle loaders are allowed pretty much no matter what. You just can't fire explosive shells.

They're just Title 1 firearms afaik. Federal law states machine guns are weapons that fire more than once with a single trigger function, there's all sorts of fun legal workarounds to that.

I guess a gatling gun could technically be semiautomatic, since you have to manually engage the trigger function.
Would that make a rotary gun with a motor automatic though?
