Our Elven Friend, Funkadelia rejoins the battle!

Tonight's battles were as quick as they were fierce. Right out of the gate, Commander Tim and Warden Olevsky won the first skirmish of the evening. The sounds of metal clashing were enough to attract our friend Funkadelia to the battlefield. After a few more clashes, darkspawn hailing from both TBH and HYDRA retreated back into the shadows, allowing the Wardens to aid Lazarus in completing their delegate transfer. At the end of the update, the Wardens walked away victorious having defended five regions in total.

Good jumps. We called it a night becuase our manual trigger trainee wasn't exactly ... 100% accurate :P No point continuing to be off like that and giving you more to report on!

I'll put it this way - you may have noticed in our reporting recently that we've been doing a lot of mid-level training, especially trigger training. Gives you some easier defenses now. But watch out in a few weeks or so when they're all hitting the field on their own ;)

With some help, Recruit Eternal takes on his first darkspawn

This past night of patrols we very eventful for the Grey Wardens and their steadfast allies. Right out of the gate, darkspawn from the Black Hawks and Hydra were sensed and chased relentlessly. This brought a good amount of initial success, and morale was high. As the battle grew more heated, these two groups merged so as to consolidate their power, leading to more difficult defenses, though the Wardens did continue to see success. While unfortunately some blightwolves posing as sheep did sneak through in what some would call a "brazen stealth operation", this Warden-Commander assures the Wolves that we'll be seeing them soon. It was also a first patrol for recruit Eternal, who attained his vial of Darkspawn Blood and will now likely be completing his joining. All in all, nine regions recorded as defended, so a very succesful night for The Grey Wardens.
Regions Defended:

Warzone Australia
Freedom Land
Holy Regime of the French Vanilla Waffle
Star Trek United Federation of Planets
Memesdotcom
The Nationstates Bar
Promised Lands
Knights of Prometheus
Midland

Wardens Involved:

Warden-Commander Tim-Opolis
Warden Olevsky
Warden Bodobol
Warden EternalX

Allies Who Share Our Victory:
Roavin
Funkadelia

In War, Victory.
In Peace, Vigilance.
In Death, Sacrifice

Gatito diving right into the glory of battle

What a way to make a first impression! Just minutes after receiving the gameplay basics, Warden-Recruit Gatito storms onto the battlescene, rapidly attaining a vial of darkspawn blood in spectacular fashion. The poor trio of Hurlocks didn't stand much of a chance when six wardens were accompanied by five allied knights. While they managed to run past us a few times, the majority of update saw the darkspawn suffering loss after loss. Having a new recruit online seems to be a good luck charm for the Order, as once again, they ended up leading multiple operations. Pretty soon we will see an obesity epidemic among the invader-sphere brought on by the seemingly endless visits to enjoy Kandarin's BBQ.

First Warden Benevolent Thomas looking concerned at his updating speeds

An exciting update for The Grey Wardens as they kept training more folks who arrived from the far off land of Imgur. Initially seeing little on the radar, a new recruit was just going to have an easy patrol of learning the ropes, but with darkspawn materializing from the shadows, the Wardens suited up their new recruit and led him on a fast-paced update with some good wins against the foe. In fact, Cappistonia even got his first lead this update, slaying the darkspawn with ease. First Warden Benevolent Thomas on the other hand seemed a bit slow throughout update, with rumors from the Staggering Griffon reporting that he'd had a bit too much to eat and drink in the last few days and perhaps needed to get a good regimen to work back into fighting form. All in all, an update with some odd failed delegate elections, five successful defenses, and a good time had by all Wardens and friends involved.

Watching puppies, watching raiders... how similar it is really just depends on which raiders you're watching, I guess!

Grey Wardens soar into battle, instilling fear in the darkspawn with their arrival

Another good night for the Wardens, as darkspawn were consistently repelled by vigilant Wardens and their allies. While Hawks within Violet Irises thought they'd soar past defending forces, The Grey Wardens were present to turn them away time and time again. At every turn, almost every attempt, the invaders found themselves staring down the sword of a Grey Warden, slaying them on the spot. The patroling forces even found time to swing by The South Alaska and back up Warden-Commander Deadeye Jack's clean-up there. Warden Dolen, fresh off his joining, had the satisfaction of sending darkspawn to their graves in two of the defended regions, commenting happily at how demoralized they seemed. Overall, it was soundly concluded that, tonight, all we do is win.

Lore unfriendly caption text makes my heart hurt.

There aren't currently any adult Griffons available to fly Wardens into battle for a variety of reasons - see the book that image comes from (Dragon Age: The Last Flight).

Din't they hatch eggs at the very end of the book?

Either way, there was a reason that I was refraining from using the image myself :p

Some did hatch yes, but they'd be too young to fly.

The last time they existed was the Fourth Blight, 5:12 Exalted. The Blight ended in 5:24 Exalted. The Griffons started dying off almost immediately due to certain magic and rituals used by a certain Grey Warden Mage during the Blight itself, done under order from the First Warden himself.

To that point, I hold the blame on the destruction of these creatures solely on the shoulders of the First Warden.
